Came in way from downtown la around 8pm. I’ve been here a few times maybe a year ago and it was good and friendly staff. Tonight when walking in the waiter rolled his eyes. We were seated in the back around dirty tables. The waiter wasn’t patient when taking orders and you can’t substitute items. I doubt I’ll be making that 30 to 45 minute drive again. The food wasn’t good and very salty!

According to their menu, they have the pan-fried crispy noodles. I ordered that, and got Panda Express chow mein. Either they got the order wrong, or their menu is misleading.

This place brings back so many memories. H.K.G. was where my dad took my mom on there first date. As a kid, my parents would always bring me here. I even remember when they would ask you: Smoking or non-smoking. After my parents divorced, my mom would bring me here and tell me her stories. I love this place. My favorite dish here HANDSDIWN is the sweet and sour shrimp. I don’t even look at the menu when we come here. I just order.

This is our family Chinese restaurant that we have come to for more than 40 years. It is traditional and delicious. The customer service is friendly and familiar. Everyone from my parents aunts and uncles all come here(we grew up very nearby). The taste is always delicious. Highly recommended.

Well no star really, keep hoping for good take out no success yet. Ordered $ 26.00 of three large wonton soups. Guaranteed 10 — 12 wontonts per container. One had 9 another 9 and another had 8. Wow. Even the employees complain about the owner being cheap and the cooks follow his poor ownership. One soup had no pork at all? My 9 year old said she was so disappointed, I should call and complain. How sad ! No take out here if your smart. Someone should sue.

There was no one at the front desk to assist you to your table. Roasted duck was overlooked. There were no desserts available. The food didn’t look fresh at all.

Been coming here for over 25 years food is very good. However the last few times I’ve come most of the waiters are not very polite and don’t seem like they want to be there. If the waiter service was better definitely give it a4 or maybe a four and a half. So looks like I’ll be taking out and not dining in.

We hosted a fundraiser here and they truly helped us out. The food was pretty good and the price was perfect for our event. Workers were very friendly and were very prompted in helping us when we needed to add another table. Great place and it seems like it has a steady crowd that comes in. Will come back again and try more of whats on the menu.

I usually dine in but this time I decided to called for carry out, and upon receiving it I felt excited. On my way home I was already salivating the won ton soup, couldn’t wait to eat it. I pour it on my soup bowl and come to find out there was hardly any won tons and there were a lot of noddles. I mean if I really wanted a noodle soup I would of stay home and eat top ramen. Then I had order kfg shrimp rice and kfg chow mein and were given small shrimps on one of the orders which was disappointing. If I would of known I would of order from luckys in Wilmington which is in my home town for half the price than to drive all the way to Torrance pay double the price and get rip off. I suggest not to do the carried out, it’s better to dine in. You get more for your money.

We decided to eat here after my surgery at Kaiser, you can park on the street but there is a parking lot in the rear of the store for them and a lot of other business in the same area so good luck, as we walk in we were greeted by a waitress who was going to seat us next to I think was the only other couple there the place was empty we told her we need space, we order sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice with lobster sauce, and wonton soup with green tea the food was very good and tasted very and authentic, this place was quiet we could the no music was playing, we ask her why was so empty in here she stated to us that the daily lunch special had just ended, the daily luncheon special range from 5.75 — 7.75 with 55 different Items you can choice from, each special is served with a small egg flower soup or hot & sour soup, a salad, steamed or fried rice hot tea, and a fortune cookies, the hours are from 11am to 2:30pm no holidays 7 days a week, plus you can order low –fat dishes, going back here soon.

This is one of my favorite places to have a nice, quiet dinner with my fiancé. I think it’s safe to say they know us there already(: Anyways, the service there is great for the most part and the food is AMAZING! I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, & chicken chow mein. And I can’t forget my all time favorite, the Wor Wonton Soup! Writing this is making me really hungry, so I’ll stop there. I hope you enjoy as much as I always do(:

The BBQ Pork Fried Rice was very tasty and cooked fresh to order… the music playing while I waited was welcomed Top 40. The place was very clean and they had an A health grade. The only turnoff if anything was this very odd vibe as if I was the last customer on Earth. It was almost as if I woke all the staff up by walking in. Almost like how they show the out of town guy who is lost and walks into a biker bar. CREEPY…

Ordered the Combo D I think. Included Chow Mein, Sweet & Sour Pork, Fried Rice, Egg Roll, and a Sweet & Sour Soup. Chow Mein: Average. Maybe below average. Included some veggies and pork. Noodles were cooked fine, veggies were cabbage and some onions I think. Sweet & Sour Pork: Meh. Drenched in sauce. Pork was a bit over cooked. Fried Rice: Terrible. Literally just rice. Was more like sticky brown stale rice with no veggies, no meat, no egg, nothing. Just a bit bland and boring. Egg Roll: Giant egg roll. Not bad but not very good. Inside was stringy celery and cabbage. Also the chili paste they gave me was left in a fridge I guess so it was cold jelly(oil) on top and expired looking red(brown) chili peppers on the bottom. Didn’t feel comfortable using it so I ate the egg roll plain. Sweet & Sour Soup: Tasted like a rendition of miso soup w chili oil/sambal sauce. Soup also had bamboo shoots and maybe tofu or something. Served lukewarm. Wasn’t very pleased. Conclusion: Look, I’ve had some very questionable chinese food. I’m someone that can enjoy the likes of cheap mom and pop joints around the area. I understand the difference between restaurant quality chinese food and the others. My problem with this spot was that it was presented like a nice authentic chinese restaurant(despite the location) but the quality of the food was anything but. It wasn’t the worst chinese food that I’ve had but between the fried rice, soup, egg roll… pretty much everything but the chow mein, my order was way below my expectations. The service was great, people were attentive and friendly. Prices were also reasonable, but lets face it. its chinese food, its always reasonable. In all honesty, I probably would have been happier with panda express :/Will not be returning.

This place has been in business for a VERY long time. It is located right across the street from the hospital so they get plenty of people coming in to eat lunch and dinner. GREAT location. Parking is tight BUT lets just celebrate there is parking in this area and I found a space pretty quickly. I’m on my way to visit a friend in NOLA that used to live here. It was his families fav Chinese place to eat when he was growing up. Before I was introduced to Unilocal we thought they had went out of business. Now that I have become a Unilocaler and gotten my friend on the Unilocal path he was able to do a search and find them. Woohoo! Goooo Unilocal! There are a few things that his family missies so when I go to visit they send there food request and I fulfill there wishes. This was one of the request and I got a wish list of what they wanted. I’m NEVER in this area but it is located fairly close to my job so I called in the order at lunch time and told them I will pick it up an noon. My order consisted of 1 — Shrimp fried Rice 2 — Chicken Chow Mien 2 — Sweet and sour pork(sauce separate) 2 — orders of egg rolls(they are huge) 2 — orders of Sly Mye(8 in each order) They included another steamed white rice, fortune cookies, soy sauces, napkins, utensils for serving and eating as well. I arrived at 3 minutes after 12pm and my order was all packaged and ready to go. PERFECT! I was greeted as I walked in and I even found a coupon listed on there site that you can also get in the Penny Saver. So I printed that out and brought it with me. They have NOPROBLEM in allowing me to use it even on a to go order. I checked my watch and saw I was not going to have time to stop and get something else so I went ahead and ordered a chicken and broccoli off there lunch menu. It came with steamed or fried rice. If you want a different rice then that it is a little more, hot and sour or miso soup, cookies, and a mini salad. My order was up in no time and I was off back to eat and work in my cave. Everything was packaged so nicely and just the way I wanted it. Making it easily to repackage once I got home and it cooled off. The chicken broccoli was ok. I have had better. The mini salad was sad and lifeless but the dressing was good. I think because they packaged my lunch all together in one container the steam from the food warmed up the salad. I prefer a cold salad. It would have been nice to have that separate. Also some of the lettuce was a bit wilted and sad looing. Didn’t appreciate that either. The entire lunch was ok nothing to shake a stick at. It really didn’t wow me at all. As for my travelling food. My friend LOVESIT! I will have to see how it travels. When your traveling with food, especially liquids you have to be careful that they all get to the destination WITHOUT ending up on all your clothes and inside the suitcase. Also because I had the sweet and sour sauce separated I will have to check my luggage just to make sure they let it through even though it is frozen… THATSUCKS but it will be worth it once I get there. I think they have some really GOODDEALS for lunch and dinner. I can’t say its the best I have had because once you have had the real thing you get really picky. I was GLAD they didn’t give me those wooden chop sticks because I’m a bit of a chop stick snob. There menu consist of your basic Chinese menu items. They do cater and have banquets style menus, and lunch menus. The lunch menus are pretty extensive which is NICE so they probably have something you’ll like. The restaurant itself it pretty big so its good for groups as well.

Good cantonese cuisine! Been going here for many many years. Excellent soups and noodles. I recommend the chef’s special soup, hot pepper beef, HK special chow mien(Cantonese style) with gravy, shrimp with lobster sauce, salt and pepper pork chop, steamed rock cod with ginger and onion, and last but not the least pancit bihon(written in menu as bancit). Waiter are very helpful and will make sure all is to your liking. Fernando and Artemio are excellent! The lunch special are not up to par with regards to portions.

Solid«Meh» score Pros(+3) Broccoli and clam plate were tasty! Reasonable prices and quick service Server was great; friendly, professional, and attentive — thank you! Cons.(–1) Salted squid batter was chewy vs crunchy Duck plate very dry, but good portions House noodles on the bland side and needs more veggies and chashu Bottom Line: I would not recommend to a friend
