Snax Home of Original Superburger

I came for a quick breakfast and just ordered a breakfast burrito. The burrito was good but they certainly weren’t as shy with the eggs and potatoes as they were with the meat. Still decent though. I’d return to try some of the other options.

Wish I could give ZERO stars… I wanted to like the place… hubby heard about the 2 for $ 12 Mexican dinners so we got one Chili Colorado and one Chile Verde. The place was packed so I thought it would be good.
First, the portions were skimpy but I think going in with 2 for $ 12 you kind of expect that but the food was HORRIBLE. First everything was cold which was weird. Both dishes are something that should have been cooking all day. Even the refried beans were lukewarm at best.
The meat? Really — how can you serve that? Why cut corners — the Beef was fatty and chewy but the PORK — literally had four pieces that were straight fat and NO meat. disgusting… the only thing good was the tortillas… even the salsa was meh…
Don’t do it… unless you like chewing the fat!

Well I wanted to like this place I really did but… I love hole in the wall places, some of the best home made food is made in places like this but… This places ranks among the lowest in food quality. Had the eggs Benedict and it was served with fake holindaes (spell check) sauce, sliced cheese under ham, eggs were hard and worst of all, they were served on a hamburger bun, NOT AN ENGLISH MUFFIN??? Don’t cut corners! Home fries were burnt to a crisp and extremely greasy. I will say this, the staff was nice but you can be an asshole only if the food is outstanding! I’m not hear to make friends, just eat good food! Sorry SNAX, up your quality! It’s straight horrible!

Being so close to home, thought we’d try this burger place… I placed a to-​go order for their Triplex Combo… Pretty good deal, 3 cheeseburgers and an order of fries for $ 10 and some change… The manager seemed like a nice guy, pretty friendly and all… Took about 10 mins for my order to come out… Food seemed to be all right until I came up on a caterpillar in my burger… It was a good thing that we didn’t eat much, but after that, definitely lost our appetite… Took the burgers back and spoke with the manager who promptly refunded my money plus a little more, but was fairly nonchalant about it… It was a damn CATERPILLAR!!! He says they wash their veggies in the back and doesn’t know how that would be there… Oh well, I’m pretty sure we won’t be heading back there anytime soon…

First time visit on a Saturday morning. We could not decide to come here or to Mexican Riviera. Since SNAX’s coupon was a better deal, decided to give them a try. We were greeted immediately to pick our own table. The place was reasonably clean and there were already many local customers. A big screen TV was showing college football and you can play «daily spot» here.
The nice waiter took our order for coffee first and the lovely waitress took the order of New Mexico omelette and bacon sausage omelette. She noticed that we had a coupon and quickly pointed out that it is only good M~F. Not a problem for us.
The coffee was decent at close to $ 4 and it came in a thermos, so you serve your own.
The food took them a little bit time to prepare, but there were a few tables in front of us, so we just drank our coffee and wait.
New Mexico omelette was good, but nothing special. The bacon sausage omelette was too salty to my taste, though.
The total came to about $ 27 for two of us. Not expensive, but not inexpensive. For about the same price, I’d just go to The Original Pancake House in RB. However, I do give them credit for friendly service.

Good food at good prices. Service is always really good there for some reason, some of the nicest waiters I’ve ever had, and I don’t really even know why I feel that way, I just do. You can play the lotto in there as well if you want, part of it really wants to be sports bar but still has a cozy ambiance. I’ve never been in there during a large game or anything, but I get the feeling they are set up for that.

Stopped by with the family on a Sunday afternoon for a little food in our bellies and we walked away super satisfied. One of my daughter’s had the club sandwich which was large but perfectly made. My wife had the Carne asada burrito wet but we were not fans of the wet sauce itself, however the burrito was large and very tasty. I had the pastrami burger and onion rings. The onion rings were fantastic. I am not sure of the burgers are deep fried or mine was over cooked to the consistency of being deep fried, but nonetheless it was good. For the life of me I cannot remember what my other daughter had but her plate was wiped clean so it must have been pretty good.

I’ve been coming here for years, in fact after I think, Joey Atabelli’s closed and this place re-​opened here from their other location in Redondo. That said I haven’t bee back since I retired in ’09.
I met a work associate here for breakfast and forgot how good the food is and the amount they served.
I had the beef patty, ¹⁄₃^rd pounder, cooked medium, crispy hash browns and 3 eggs over easy and sourdough toast.
My pal had an equally monster breakfast of Polish sausage (2), 3 eggs and potatoes with wheat toast, with plenty of fresh coffee to wash it down.
I won’t stay away so long next time!

This place is beyond phenomenal. I believe they started out as a Mexican restaurant, but have also added more «American» items to the menu. These items include burgers, sandwiches (tuna, club etc.) and more. I come here all the time and the quality is consistent each time. Every single thing I’ve ordered is great to where I’m not worried to try something new if I feel like it. I love the Club Sandwich, it’s a basic club but so delicious. Their burritos are incredible as well. The wet ones are good but I’ve lately preferred to get them dry. I come here a lot. The workers are also very nice and take out is available. Take out usually takes about 10 – 15 minutes. I’ve dined in the restaurant itself once and it was a nice experience. A clean environment. I’m so glad I live close to this place. I might have Snax tonight as a matter of fact.

Good service… Food was good. Problem surfaced when I tried to redeem my free drink. The waiter said to tell him next time and he will give it to me. He then proceeded to touch redeemed on my phone. Think he will remember me and let me redeem my drink next time… I don’t think so! Nevertheless lunch was cool.

It was a good burger, Nothing special.
I ordered their super cheeseburger and it wasn’t really anything special. Unfortunately I was surrounded by terrible customers, It does not reflect on the establishment, they have no control over the people they serve.
Definitely some of the best service I have ever had. These guys can teach a class in good customer service.

This place has superb service. They are ultra friendly and considerate of their guests. The food was okay. I was told it was a lot better on earlier visits. Judging from my experience, I would recommend the onion rings and fajita plate above all else.

Okay! I am all about supporting local mom and pop joints. Unfortunately I will not be supporting SNAX after yesterday’s visit. My husband and I ordered breakfast. Steak and eggs, the steak had not seasoning whatsoever, completely tasteless. The home fries tasted reheated and were very dry. We were disappointed that not even their coffee taste good, it was very bitter. If only their food was a bit up to par I would return but I don’t like wasting my money. The only upside to SNAX is their service, the staff is very friendly, they make you feel welcome. If there rating were about staff I would give it 5 starts. Oh! And their New Mexico omelette has nothing about New Mexico. Just because it has mushrooms and bell peppers doesn’t make it New Mexico. If it had some Hatch Green chile then it can be called New Mexico.

Needed a fast cheap dinner. this was cheap, food was ok, but for some reason, to me it smelled like toilet cleaner inside. not sure why, maybe we were sitting near the restrooms. but then i looked around and we we not. maybe they were cleaning the kitchen, anyway i could not get past the smell.
food was ok, i got a turkey burger w fries, and a beer. wife got fish tacos and the kids got pancakes. all the food tasted good. no issues, the service was good. cheap food, decent portions. place itself is kind of blaw, smell was not great. old school, diner. reminded me of having dinner at my granny’s house. take that for what its worth.

I can only give it four stars because of the dated seating. I feel bad even dropping it a star.
The service is incredible! Always happy servers and guests. I’ve had breakfast here several times and dinner twice. I can say we have not been disappointed. It’s not fancy or expensive food, so don’t expect fine dining and exotic cuisine. The most exotic they go is a buffalo burger. I think they have ostrich too? Either way, it’s simply don’t food and worthy of the inexpensive prices! Keep this place running. They have heart.

Been here a couple times and wasn’t too impressed :/​I really wanted to like it but the food just wasn’t that good. This review is based on a burger, tacos once and a burrito another time. I tried this place because my fellow Unilocalers raved about it, but truth be told it’s mediocre at best. I tried three entrees here and the best thing was the coffee. Not a fan so I wont be back unless i’m starving and there are no other options, pretty much never. Sorry for the bad review, makes me sad because the severs were really amazing.

Mexican Food here is solid. Especially their burritos. The bean and cheese is a recipe from scratch loaded with cheddar cheese. I get mine wet and it’s great. The Carne’ Asada is great!
Breakfast here is probably the best around. Fair prices and a TON of food so bring your appetite.
Best thing about this place is the servers. Fast and polite. They are on top of it.
Only bad thing is the seating IMO. It can get crowded and when it does it gets hot.
All in all? A great choice for any meal but especially breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast all day, friendly service, affordable dishes, American /​Mexican cuisine. What else can say?!

Great food at this place. We’ve only done take out in the past, but decided to dine in last week. Very friendly and fast service. We all had breakfast after lunchtime! Love that!
