favorite lunch spot, even the husband loves it! You can go back for soup until you have tried each kind, lol! but they also have different breads and a few pastas also.(oh, and don’t forget the chance to build your own salad!) yep, my favorite!

Souplantation isn’t exactly a 5 star eatery, but considering I come here at least twice a month, anything less would just be stingy. Cleeeeearly I like the place. Do I wish their side salads were more gourmet-ish? More Lemonade-esque or Tender Greens-esque? Yes! But for less than $ 10 for unlimited soups, salads, pastas, breads, drinks, and dessert… I’m not expecting froo froo Beet & Farro salads. You really can’t beat it for under $ 10. I am slightly peeved that they no longer have evgs. I get there’s a shortage and all, but if SIZZLER can serve hard boiled eggs at their salad bar, why can’t they?! Sign up for their mailing list and they send you weekly coupons. I never come here without a coupon! $ 7.99 for lunch!

I ended up going here on a Saturday night. Boy it was packed. I used to go to the one in Brentwood, but this one it’s run bit differently. When your first walk in, don’t forget to grab a tray and couple plates then you can proceed to help yourself to the salad bar. At the end of the bar, you pay and grab a cup. Usually at this point you can find a table or continue to get in another long line to get pasta, soups, baked potato, and bakery items. This is where something isn’t right. I don’t know if it’s because they don’t have much space, but they should really have separate lines for the pasta, soup, and bakery. It’s pretty annoying to have to get in 1 line for all these items! By the time you get everything you want, your food is cold because of that huge line! I remember at the Brentwood location, you just walk up to the section get in the line there and get what is it that you want then go to the next station. Maybe it was just that day that I wss there, but it was packed and those lines did not help. I think next time if I go, I’ll try to go bit early to avoid the craziness.

The lines were long, but the choices were endless. As someone who is trying to get healthy, I rarely feel like I have options! There were so many choices! The best thing though, was the foccacia bread! My kids loved it and I indulged! Looking forward to going back!

It was my first time at Souplantation and I went on December 29th during the holidays during dinner. It was packed. Other kids were having a real good time. Coming in is kind of weird. You are supposed to grab a tray, get your salad, THEN pay the cashier and find a seat or grab soup then find your seat. There are instructions on the left wall but it’d be better if the cashier was in the front. Salads were good but there was a long line for the soups. Hurry up people! Plates and bowls were well stocked. The staff is great as they kept people moving along and cleared tables. Food was good. If you are a meat/seafood lover don’t bother coming here. I have gout so I can’t eat that much meat anyways so this place was perfect for me. Those tiny cones they give for the soft serve are well, tiny. You can fit it on your finger. For people that think their food is mediocre. It’s made fresh at the restaurant and most are healthy. I assume you visit a lot of gastro pubs, etc. with foods that are very«rich». I assume Soups have lower sodium since they make it there. If you want to kick up the food a notch search for souplantation hacks. There are blogs about making your own creations. Hmmm. maybe the soup/breads line was so long because people were making their own dishes. It really helps to sign up for their souplantation club thing online were you will get a 20% your first time and they regularly email deals and you show the cashier your email on the phone or print them out but they usually expire in a week till their next promo: Club discount: Sunday Breakfast = $ 6.99 Club discount Breakfast Combo w/beverage = $ 8.99 Club discount Family Breakfast(2 adults, 2 children, 4 beverages) = $ 24.99 Club discount Lunch = $ 8.29 Club discount Lunch Combo w/beverage = $ 9.29 Club discount Dinner = $ 10.29 Club discount Dinner Combo w/beverage = $ 11.29 Club discount Family Deal Combo(1 adult, 1 child, 2 beverages) = $ 16.99 Club discount Family Deal Combo(2 adults, 2 children, 4 beverages) = 29.99 People said they have print coupons but who does print? How did you get here on Unilocal? You aren’t reading this from a newspaper.

Souplantation is good and reliable for the name… «Soup» and their chicken noodle soup is great, at least the broth is very tasty, the noodles are a bit thick and almost dumpling like. The salad bar is adequate. We went for Breakfast or Brunch on the Weekend, the breakfast items were a bit lackluster with the variety and quality, it’s not a place for good ‘ol traditional breakfast meats and greasy griddle fare, no omelet bar, bacon or anything beyond pre-made scrambled eggs, french toast, waffles, sweet rolls and other mediocre dishes. If you’re craving a breakfast buffet, I’d probably not recommend it. If you like to eat a bit lighter and healthier ‘tho, and love salad and soups, then it’s a great spot. The price is okay, not cheap but not expensive, similar to Home Town Buffet. Parking was easy here, it’s in a large complex next to Red Lobster, Elephant Bar, El Torrito and other restaurants in the back side of the plaza.

$ 14.00 my bad. No carb diet. Wrong choice on my part. Out of ice tea the rest of the night. Their fault. Live and learn.

I didn’t like this location. They took for ever to pick up plates. And they weren’t fully stocked in the bakery section. They hardly had Any pizza bites Came the second time, still don’t pick up your plates until you leave. I have gone to the one In Lakewood and they have much better service there. And it’s not very clean there either

We came to Souplantation for dinner on Friday evening… and surprisingly it wasn’t as crowded as it usually is on Friday evenings. The central idea of Souplantation is the extensive Salad Bar. For a fixed price, you get a self-service salad bar together with choices of pasta, potato, soup, and bread in as many combinations as one might want. I love the salad bar, as there are a variety of vegetables to start with followed by toppings and dressings to add. It’s the most extensive of any salad bar I’ve seen anywhere else. I usually add a French Onion Soup and a Baked Potato. No pasta needed! Dessert is included, too. They have a make-your-own sundae bar along with a soft-serve ice cream machine. This place is great for groups and families!

My teenage daughters love this place! It’s ok, I don’t like it enough to go on my own, but I do usually find something tasty to eat for relatively cheap. Today I had their pumpkin bisque and clam Chowder, both were pretty good! Their pizza bread is pretty yummy too, and the soft serve ice cream also. Decent value.

Overall: 2⁄5 This location looks and feels nice inside, but unfortunately, the gears that make this restaurant function are either rusty or just broken. The cashier was rude, there was a lot of food/drinks that were not replaced in a timely manner, their macaroni and cheese was cold, most of their cheese pizza had no cheese on it… you know what? To save me time just drive to the next location and save yourself from a mediocre meal with disappointing service. Service: 2⁄5 It’s a little hard to review the service of a restaurant based solely on a cashier and the person clearing our dirty plates from the table. There’s not much interaction there, so I’ll also include the people behind the scenes refilling the soup, bread, lemonade, etc… Aside from the friendly young lady that cleared our dirty plates in a timely manner, everyone else gets a huge, gigantic HALF A STAR(and that’s being generous)! The cashier was extremely rude. She did not greet us and when we were ready to pay she told us to, «hold on», so that she could wait and serve the people in the other line that had a huge party that was still getting their salads! REALLY??? The night was not terribly busy, being that it was a Thursday night, yet they did not have any strawberry lemonade, one of the soups was completely gone, there was no macaroni and cheese, and no blueberry muffins. This wouldn’t be a problem if they were refilled in a short time, but unfortunately it took forever for them to bring more… they took so long I simply gave up on eating it and decided to eat other things. How is this possible? Cleanliness: 4⁄5 I never feel very clean in any buffet style restaurants… can’t really tell you why… but this location was surprisingly clean and the layout of the restaurant was nicer than most Souplantations I’ve been to. Food: 2.5÷5 It’s Souplantation… what do you expect? Salad area was decent. Surprisingly I enjoyed the Siracha udon, but sadly that’s the only highlight. I usually really enjoy their cheese«pizza», but it was horrible at this location. Half of the pieces didn’t even have cheese on them. The macaroni and cheese was cold. Cons: Too many to list… if you’re craving Souplantation just drive a little more to the next location.

This Torrance location is a solid 3-Stars. Been here several times and it has been okay. Some gripes of this location is the flow of the soup line, it’s horrible. Other locations I’ve been to offer soup ‘islands’ where peeps can walk up on either side directly to their soup of choice; no line. Salad monitors are sometimes lacking. Some of the premixed salads at the start of the line were empty. Toppings were a bit messy too. So why the A-OK rating? Everything tastes fresh and great. And with their promo coupons, its’ a great deal.

My daughter wanted to try soup plantation, I was pleasantly surprised. The salad station had a huge variety of fresh ingredients. The soups are extremely delicious and flavorful we dog being too salty. I will definitely go back since I did not get it opportunity to try the pasta and the baked goods. And my daughter love that too.

We love souplantation! It makes me feel like you ate healthy even though it is a buffet and you end up eating a lot. If you go to souplantation a lot, I recommend to join their memberhsip thing to get coupons regularly. Their regular prices are not bad at all but you can get some better deals. I love their broccoli salad and I like their soups too. Out of baked goods, I love their corn breads with honey whipped butter. In terms of quality, I would say it is pretty much what you can expect from any other souplantation locations. Probably because of the reasons I love this place, it is always busy! So expect some line and wait before getting seated. The service is pretty good. They come around often to collect your finish dishes too. They are in a plaza mall, so the parking is quite easy but it can get busy. Foods: 4 stars Service: 3.5 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars Overall Experience: 4 stars

This place is pretty standard; salads and a few soups. The only concern is that due to the excessive amount of people that frequent this location it always seems hard to get decent seating. You’re not able to select your seats and are normally instructed where to go. I love the chili that they serve paired with a cornbread muffin. The salad bar is pretty stacked so you’ll always have fresh fixings here. Use a coupon from retailmenot for a great discount.

We have not been here for about 9 months. Upon arrival, we gathered our plates and started taking our product. A majority of the items were not marked as to what they were. The food was fresh. I just can’t find the words for this place. Overall, I guess I would go back in about 9 months again.

Subscribe to their email for monthly coupons! Dinner for 2 plus beverages for $ 19.99! The ladies behind us didn’t have a coupon and their total came out to over $ 30 for two… the heck! I would’ve gladly shared my coupon but they were snobby… hmmph, no love for Bs with attitudes! :P This was my first time at this location and the food was Bleh… The chicken salad w/wonton strips had way too much dressing and hardly any chicken. I was looking forward to add diced eggs on my salad but they were nowhere to be found :(Egg shortage? Price hike? Boooo! I’ve never seen this before but last night(8÷20÷15) the soup line merged into the line of ppl waiting to be seated! There was no way I was going to go back for round 2 so we brought our tray and placed 9 bowls on there. That’s how we do it! :) The clam chowder was good but the chicken noodle was BLAND! Yuck! Tried the chicken jalapeño tortilla and it was tasty. I like their mac n cheese but last night’s had a weird texture, Eh… The blueberry muffins were good. I only eat the tops. Yeah, I’m one of those! The kiddie cones are tiny and cute! I was able to fill and not have it spill over. That’s skills! :)

I decided to come here today for lunch so I can get some veggies in. I started off by getting the pre made salads. I don’t even know why I kid myself, because I end up piling other stuff on it and everything gets all mixed up anyways. Then I usually try 2 soups. I really like the cornbread too. Get your veggie on!

Came here today after my Niece’s 8th grade promotion ceremony. This place has a variety of salads and vegetables that you can pile on your plate, and some pasta dishes too. There are different choices of soups and desserts. Not really a big fan of this place but i guess it is ok once in a while when you want to get an AYCE style salad and soups. This location is in the restaurant plaza area so parking can be limited at dinner times with all the restaurants so close and kinda sharing parking. Overall it’s ok.

Lol I guess I was lying when I said I wouldn’t be back to this location. You have no choice if your boyfriend lives in Palos Verdes and you really want Souplantation and this is the closest one to PV. So yes, I did go back. In fact, I’ve been back twice already. However, it was my last visit that made me want to update my review. They have remodeled part of this Souplantation! It looks a lot cleaner and nicer. They got rid of the plastic plates and replaced it with ceramic plates finally! So much nicer. And instead of the plastic red bowls, they got new white bowls which are easier to use and def nicer as well. The only thing that bothered me was that it was sooo crowded when I went. Actually it was crowded both the last times that I came. I came for dinner last Sunday around 5PM and there were so many people already. There was a fat line just to get soup + food from the bakery. It was so long and slow that I didn’t even feel like getting more food because I didn’t want to wait in line… Haha but I had to because I’m a fatty and I had to get like 5 refills of the tomato soup hehe. Tomato Soup + Garlic Focaccia or Sourdough Bread = Heaven
