We always eat at TGIF Torrance with their promotions and food… you’ll never go wrong… plus the friendly servers. Yesterday was exceptional. I am used of waiting for my order… everything was served except for the kids meal but still it’s a reasonable time delay. To my surprise the manager approached me and apologize for the delay and offer me a free dessert… I felt like a valued customer. Terrence is so nice. I just notice a lot of new faces and I haven’t seen my favorite server Jordan. I love TGIF Torrance.

First off, the 5 stars is mostly for the service! My coworkers and I get off work pretty late therefore there aren’t as many places open. We decided to come here to get a couple beers and a few appetizers after a long hard day. Our waitress(Amber A.) approached us and let us know all the happy hour items and answered all our questions with a smile! She is so personable and we never felt rushed even when we were literally the last table there. The mango margarita is alright, I wouldn’t really recommend it, so I’ll just stick to the beer and the sesame jack Daniel chicken was Delish! I’m just glad to have found a place where we can(shamefully) walk in late and still be greeted happily. Thanks Amber A!

Great customer service. The manager(in white/red shirt) was very welcoming. The service was fast and friendly. Hubby and I had burgers and the food was delicious.

Came here for Happy hour to say goodbye to a coworker. The server was very nice and made sure our drinks were refilled steadily. The food was good but a tad on the greasy side. The restroom was kinda terrible. Toilet paper everywhere. Bad odor. It seemed like they clean it once a day, if at all. I was glad I was done with my meal by the time i used it because it made me lose my appetite. Ick

Always a great place to come. Our server, Amber A., was very awesome with us. Friends and I came once after work, on a tuesday night. Amber was really helpful and patient with us. We went again on a tuesday, after work, and requested to be seated with her. Great customer service, great food, and good happy hour.

I came into the Friday’s Torrance location for dinner with my family and the moment I walked in I was hit with the smell of a dirty mop. I decided to stay because my husband had a taste for the Jack Daniels sampler. Our waiter Cody was… Meh… He scratched a lot as he took our order. I know it wasn’t me being petty because my mom and husband noticed as well. After Cody brought the food out he also took a smoke break and came back to chk on us reeking of cigarettes. I didn’t even want him to refill my 3 year old sons apple juice because he smelled so badly. I haven’t been to Friday’s in years but it seems tht the Torrance location is poorly ran. Two stars for the great food and decent service.

The service is poor but what can you expect from a chain restaurant…(with the exception of in n out burger and or CPK) The staff is disorganized and super sloppy… Our server tried his best(hats off to him) but the culture is conditioned to strive for lower than mediocrity…

1 and done. cajun shrimp & chicken pasta portion size fit for a child for $ 10, don’t bother. Service was ok on a Friday night; guessing their business is due to alcohol service cause you don’t come for the food. Server was alright. But seriously, putting the suggested tip amount on the bill starting at 18% was a bit unnecessary. I tipped over 20% but never be class’less and put it on the receipt. I won’t be back

Tip: sign up online for membership and receive free deals I’ve been on a «use my birthday coupons» craze and been stopping at restaurants and restaurants to receive my birthday offers. TGIF gave me a free appetizer or dessert for my birthday… Disappointment: it’s not a free appetizer… Their offer in small print was written(up to $ 8 value)… I searched the whole menu and found zero appetizer that costs $ 8 or lower… So it makes sense because their desserts are about $ 8 of worth, but for them to give me an email for free appetizer… It’s a bit disappointing. So I got myself an order of their wings and they took off $ 8 from the total receipt. Their wings were alright. I ordered the traditional wings with traditional buffalo sauce. The moment the dish arrived, my nose definitely was awakened by its spicy sauce. I personally wouldn’t get this again.

My family and I came for lunch on Easter. There was no wait, which we we’re glad about ! Our server was named Rosa and she seemed pretty nice. She took our drinks, i got a margarita on the rocks, but she ended up bringing it blended. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. I got the jack daniel’s steak with mack and cheese and mashed potatoes. The steak was pretty good and once my drink came, it wasn’t as strong has i would’ve hoped. but i still dranked it. To be honest, our server took forever to come check on us, we had to continuously keep looking around to see if we would spot her. i didn’t appreciate appreciate that. Other than that, food was 8 out of 10.

We went on a Saturday night around 11, so there wasn’t too much of a crowd there were plenty of empty tables through out. They choose to sit us next to the drink station literally my boyfriends back was less then 5 inches from the ice. So I asked to be moved, the hostess did move us, to another table but it was dirty instead of cleaning it up she literally put the dessert menu on top. That should’ve been the first sign to leave. Anyways we started with appetizers, we got wings, potatoes skins and mozzarella. The mozzarella sticks were the only thing that was good, because they were warm the other two weren’t hot at all. When our food finally arrived my plate was cold, i asked nicely for hot food she did bring it hot, the second time around out. My boyfriend ran out of his drink, and asked for a refill, she took so long that he finished my drink and she brought it at the end of our meal when we asked for our check. The service here has something to be desired hopefully they get it together the food wasn’t good either, will definitely be taking my business somewhere else.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to catch the Kings vs Ducks«Freeway Faceoff» on tv, that was also being played at the Staples Center. The best way to watch a game is to go to a sport bar or bar, because you have access to plenty of drinks and can munch on plenty of finger foods. Apparently, TGI Fridays has unlimited appetizers(AYCE) which is perfect for such an occasion. For $ 12 a person, you can get as many appetizers you want(from their select menu). There is a catch. You can only get 3 appetizers per person at a time. And, you cannot take home any left overs. The AYCE menu were FULL size orders of: — Boneless wings with tons of sauces to choose from — Cheesesticks — Pot stickers — Crispy green beans — Loaded potato skins — Braised BBQ Beef tostadas — Tuscan spinach dip and BBQ Chicken flatbread We started off with 7 items, 3 wings, cheesesticks, pot stickers, potato skins, tostadas. Stella was great… Since we were only able to get 3 apps at a time, she first keyed in 3 orders, waited and keyed in the balance a short time later. Not only did we get the food in an orderly fashion, it also helped us clear the table when the 2nd wave of food came. We tried all except the spinach dip and flatbread. For the wings, we tried BBQ, Buffalo, and PB and J… that’s right, peanut butter and jelly. It was… different. I personally wouldn’t order it again. Our favorites were the pot stickers(we ordered it 2x!), the cheesesticks, green beans, and the BBQ boneless wings. I was amazed how yummy the greenbeans were. They reminded me of fried zucchini sticks. Actually any fried veggie is good, so what am I saying? The ones we did not like was the PB and J and the Tostadas. The sauce was just too sweet, and then the habanero sauce kicks in, making it too spicy. Not a good balance for our group. The loaded potato skins were ok but the cheese wasn’t melted, and the skins were a bit cold. We could have sent it back, but I thought we’d order more later. Unfortunately we were quite full after eating 9 plates of food. Thumbs up to the AYCE appetizers. You have to ask for the menu. They didn’t offer it to us until we asked. It seems they try to push the $ 4 appetizers in the back of the menu, as its ½ orders, smaller portions, and definitely not AYCE.

Walked in and the 3 hostesses were too busy chit chatting to even acknowledge us. Already bad. I stood there with my BF waiting to even get a simple«hi, how many?» type of greeting before I HAD to INTERRUPT their conversation and ask for a table for 2. Got seated and we waited for more than 5 minutes before we were even approached by our waitress. I’ll give her credit though, she was extremely friendly and was honest with her recommendations for drinks… THANKSAMBER! She rocked. The staff overall seemed flustered though… At one table, they gave him the wrong food. Another booth in front of me got my boyfriend’s order, lol. Food: I ordered the bruschetta chicken pasta. My chicken came out SO dry. But we enjoyed the broccoli cheddar soup :) On our way out, same hostesses still chit chatting and didn’t even say bye til we passed them and weren’t even in view. Did not like that at all. Stop engaging in your own conversations and acknowledge people coming in and out. Where’s your sense of urgency or manners even? And that’s just plain out rude. Whatever. Only reason they get 2 stars from me is because of how awesome Amber(our waitress) was. Thanks again amber.

They are pretty consistent with food and drinks which is how it should be. Customer service has always been more good than bad. The food usually doesn’t take too long to come out. The prices are typical for a chain. People have to remember this is a chain and not a mom and pop place, therfore it’s regulated for the most part and follows what comes down the pipeline. They keep it clean but should focus on cleaning the table areas more, check on condiments as well, parking is plentiful. If you want variety and good happy hour, then this place is for you. They have decent full size meals as well ranging from ribs, burgers, salads, and much more. Well greased machine that can work on bussing tables.

I came here with my coworkers for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I wanted to eat something with carbs since I had my half marathon on the following Sunday and it was close by! Actually, we wanted to go to Olive’s Garden, but it was a 20 minute wait, so we walked to TGI Friday’s. But besides that, it was my first time trying this chain restaurant so I didn’t have high expectations. When we got there, there was no line and the hostess promptly sat us down to a booth for the four of us. We were looking through the menu and noticed that they had a special going on for lunch where we got 2 for $ 20. It included one appetizer and two entrees for $ 20! So we got that. I ordered a bruschetta chicken pasta and shared chips and salsa as an appetizer. It was surprisingly really yummy! I really liked how the pasta had a spicy kick to it and the chicken was grilled. The portion was pretty large that I had to take at least half of it home. It could have also been the appetizer beforehand. My other two coworkers ordered flat bread as their appetizer and it was so delicious! I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back here, especially with their lunch special! Also, extra points for playing sports on the tv screens. I loved catching up with the NBA preseason games and NFL games.

First off I sincerely hope the management team read these post? That said, this review isn’t about the food, value and or service all important to note & they were either inline to very good. The issue is the employees. They don’t wash there hands! Yep its true, unless they have separate restrooms for the employees that we don’t know about? When we first arrived I went to wash my hands and there was no soap in the dispenser. Didn’t think much about it as the restroom appeared clean. Then after our meal, we both went to wash up, now some hour later and still no soap. This is in both the lady’s & Men’s rooms. As we were chatting waiting on our bill the thought came to us!!! If we can’t wash our hands then no one working here can either! This is most disturbing as the kitchen staff handle all the food. Not to say the wait staff don’t, just not to the same degree. All in all DISGUSTING! If this wasn’t the case and a simple thing like hand soap were available, my 1 star would most likely have been a 3 ½ maybe a 4 star.

Usually you would have to hog tie me screaming & squirming to go to TGIF, but I wanted to attend the birthday dinner for a dear friend who insisted on going to mediocre Americanized chain restaurants such as BJ’s, Cheese Cake Factory, Chilis, Lazy Dog, etc. So I put aside my pride in going to good tasting places to eat for this evening, and girded my loins in anticipation for some really bad food. I ordered the Pork rib & flame grilled lobster combo. Just to make sure I asked the waiter to make sure the lobster was kissed only lightly by the flame for only a short duration since I was sure they were going to nuke that puppy into a lobster rubber jerky. To my surprise, the lobster came out moist, rich with basted butter with a slight char that added to the flavour of the white crustacean meat. The pork ribs were a touch dry & no masterpiece of faux barbequing, but they were edible. A dash of Tabasco sauce even livened up the meatiness of the pork ribs a bit. The Coleslaw with julienned apples actually tasted fresh, crisp, with the right amount of sweet vinegar dressing. None of that heavy mayonnaise, soggy. limped out, tired mess. The Mac & Cheese was made of al dente Penne pasta that looks like Mostaccioli with fine parallel ridges going lengthwise along the pasta which was fine. But the mac & cheese was overly dry with a hardened crusty, oily yet bland cheese. The cooks making this should taste their own cooking as punishment for such dismal fare.(I’m taking this home and doctoring it up with sautéed garlic, onions, bacon, cream, touch of cognac, shavings of Parmigiana Reggiana and then adding a bit of Black Truffle Oil at the end to add that acidic, woodsy, fermenting humus mushroom bouquet.) Ice Tea was the preferred pairing. I was most impressed with our waiter whose name might be Mark, short dark brown hair cut, about 5’8″, trim looking college student material. He was most pleasant, and served out the food as fast as it came out to our large group. Then he provided us with a list of what we had ordered, and all we had to do was tick off what we had ordered so that he could go to the trouble of calculating individual checks. Such a nice guy volunteering to go to all that trouble with a smile at 11 o’clock at night. 3– Unilocal stars for the food, but 5 Unilocal star service. Thanks for the nice, enthusiastic service. PS I went to the Simi Valley branch years ago after theatre, and I find that some of their mixed drinks are fine. I had one that looked like an alcoholic version of a strawberry ice cream parfait that really tasted great for dessert. So the mixed drinks may be the way to go at TGIF’s.
