I’ve been going to Bateman’s for four years now. I recommend going on Monday for all you can eat wings even though it’s really busy, it’s a good day to try out all the flavors of wings they have. I also recommend going on tuesdays where it’s all day happy hour. The happy hour appetizers are $ 5 and they have pretty good beer specials if you love drinking beer. There food is decent, I like their sweet thai chili boneless wings, crab fries, and mozzarella sticks.

Ordered delivery from Batemans through the order up app. VERY quick delivery, food was exactly as it was ordered and it was still very warm upon delivery. The steak was okay minus that«grill» taste it had. Chesapeake quesadilla was pretty good but they went a little overboard on the old bay(didn’t even know it was possible to go overboard on old bay until this evening…). Overall, pretty good experience with their delivery service.

Typical bar scene here. I like the bar layout with all their TV’s. The service was slow and they seemed inattentive to our needs. For some reason this didn’t bother me because I was half expecting it being here in a bar scene. We ordered hot wings and they sufficed our need to feed. If you’re looking for a good spot near Towson University to watch TV, drink beer, and eat mediocre bar food this is the place. Yes I’ll come back for the convenience.

I love Bill Batemans for quick finger foods. Their happy hour is pretty good with so much at just $ 5 each. I’m addicted to their crab pretzels and it’s over all a cool bar/restaurant environment.

I HAVENEVERBEENMOREHONOREDTORECEIVEANORDEROFDELICIOUSFOOD. LETSBEGIN. 1) I was having a super tough day. Woke up at 2:00PM dehydrated and unsure where I was. Upon gathering my bearings I located my cell phone and napped until 6:00pm. I was awoken by three females who desired wings. I placed an order for wings and wanted ONLY drumsticks. I’m just so tired of eating the ones with two bones. ITSSOHARDTOEATTHEMEATOUTOFTHECENTER. Well guess what??? MYORDERWASALLDRUMSTICKS. I’m blown away by their enthusiasm! I just imagine some poor line cook picking through all of the wings to give me only Asian drum sticks! 2) Said females desired crab fries. I ordered. It was fantastic. They thought it would be cute to operate under the auspicious alias of «Chewbacca». Guess what? They wrote said name in a thank you note on the styrofoam box.(Nice delivery packaging by the way.) 33% of said females desired Crispier fries to bear the load of the heavy crab dip. 3) As you can see by my previous Unilocal reviews that I have a tremendous amount of response bias. This was a great experience and I am so grateful to eat these 100% pure bread Asian drumsticks. ****caveat emptor**** We received carrots instead of celery. I am terrified and confused, much like I was when I awoke at 2:00PM.

I’m a Towson student so I’ve been to Batemans many times over the past 4 years. It’s overall average but their Caesar salad is pretty good but I always get the Chesapeake quesadilla when I go cuz it’s so good. I go just for that. It’s pretty cheap in there and fun but loud during games.

Slow, unfriendly service(EVERY time– it’s not like I was just here once and just got slow service once). Mediocre food may be an understatement. In particular I would not advise wasting your money on a burger here– I tried three times and all three times it was just not good. The fact that this is the only place near campus to drink, is probably what keeps this place busy. Positive side: cheap drink specials, conveniently located if you go to Towson. I had a quesadilla once that wasn’t bad.

I have been to the Towson location several times as part of large-group get-togethers. I have always been generally pleased with the environment because I have been with a group of coworkers enjoying drinks and bar food. Recently an out-of-town friend visited on a Saturday and asked for the two of us to go to a bar to watch a midday soccer match; I suggest Bill Bateman’s. When we entered, we asked the bartender to change one of the tvs to the soccer game, El Classico. The bar and restaurant were not crowded. There were a few families with children having or finishing up lunch at booths, away from the bar. The bartender brusquely refused twice to change the station on any tv, citing that we wouldn’t believe how many people call with requests for college football games. We were confused because the bar and restaurant seemed empty at the time, but, rather than push him, we left, deciding to try another bar in the area. We were able to watch the soccer match at a competitor. Overall, the exchange with the staff member at Bateman’s was off-putting considering the small request.

Service was great! The cheeseburger sliders were good. The boneless Thai Chili wings were amazing! Great atmosphere.

I came here on a Saturday evening and ate in the restaurant area. I use to come to this location a lot when I lived in the Towson area, and I am really surprised at how much Bill Bateman’s has downsized its entire menu. This isn’t just for this location, but all of them. It must be a sign of the economic times. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and it was okay. I wouldn’t rush back to get it again, but I wasn’t completely disappointed in it either. Honestly, I think the best part of this restaurant is the bar area, and the bar menu and Happy Hour specials. At least they still have their baby back ribs and wings going on for them.

It’s OK but the atmosphere is pretty dead. The customer service is one bartender and one bar back so if it’s a busy weekend don’t go to this place.

I had not been to this location since 2009 but I moved back. To the area and thought I would give it a try. Back then they served quality food. Today I ordered the crab dip and when I say it had zero crab in it, I mean ZERO. I told the waitress and she just looked at me like she knew but couldn’t do anything. They know they are ripping people off. Everyone knows that if you make good food, people will come. Well don’t come to this place. The food is just awful and they know what they are serving.

Kid friendly but fairly average wings. Good place to let the little ones run around while taking in a game but don’t come here just for the wings. They ran out of crayons(as in they didn’t have any since our kids were the only ones there at the time) and the wings we got were def reheated. And the celery/carrots?! Talk about cheap, I think we got 3 pieces of each for 2 orders. Went to redeem Unilocal’s 15% off offer and the manager honored the deal reluctantly and said it was really only for the reisterstown location(though we checked into the towson one). I went here as an undergrad and this place has Def let things slide– prob bc they have a given crowd w lower expectations. Sad to see really.

Happy hours in Towson are super hard to find, and my friends crack on me because this is a student bar, but I don’t care. $ 5 food happy hour deals from 3 – 7 and cheap beer(and a variety). Crab fries are my favorite, with a big ass beer or two. Just come with fun people. The snobs can go somewhere else without me :)

The food is good. Nothing super though… service is okay. I always order my favorite, a crab pretzel or shrimp melt wrap. They are both good. The mango sweet tea and lemonade is good too. This is a good place to grab a bite for lunch or late night… The bar area offers discounted appetizers. Very good prices. There are flat screens too…

I called an order in because my sister suggested I go here. Placed an order for the meatloaf platter no gravy, full rack of rib platter extra sauce, 5 barbeque wings, 5 garlic wings and loaded crab potato skins. Estimated ready time 20 minutes. I arrive and parking was easy. It was a little after five maybe going on six. As I walked in the vibe was nice. Place not crowded. I asked about the $ 5.00 off of $ 20.00 I noticed on the Unilocal app and they had to go get a manager. No problem. I play by the rules. I went to check in and after I did so noticed it read 15% off so I made the manager aware. I didn’t want to do anything wrong. Although he had taken the $ 5.00 off he recalculated with no problem saying that he would use which ever was the bigger discount. I thanked him. He never showed an attitude about it. Great customer service from both manager and the woman working the cashier. I received my food and was on my way. It was my intention to rate the store with 4 stars but they lost a star for no blue cheese and celery in one of the wing boxes and no sour cream for the potato skins. A little disappointing. But make no mistake the food was extremely delicious. I would like to return and dine in. I’m almost certain it would meet four stars.

Worst restaurant experience in a long time… don’t come here unless you’re going to watch the game, are already drunk, its late and have nowhere else to go or want to feel like killing yourself. Hostess told us we couldn’t sit in the back room where it was quiet, but proceeded to seat a large party because they«were family of someone who works here». So made to feel like second class the moment we walked in. There was one server on a Sunday afternoon for the ENTIRE restaurant. So of course ours was conversing with her family in the back room instead of paying any attention to the res of her tables. Water took ten minutes, asked to sample a beer on special, tried it, liked it, but the server never came back so I could place an order. Thankfully the bartender came out from behind the bar to serve us, we had our coats in hand and were ready to walk out. Since i’ve been typing this review at our table, the server has walked by several times and said nothing, still have only water. Looking around the room there are many frustrated faces, the bartender should not have to serve the room so a waitress can hang out with her family. In short, we will NEVER be returning to Bill Bateman’s crap Bistro. Get your shit together Bill.

Visited this location last night with a party of five people. The restaurant was not very busy, as it was a Sunday night, but you would have never guessed that based on the service that we received. We met our party in the bar area and headed to the hostess station to be seated at a table in the restaurant. Not sure if there was just one available hostess, but we waited a good five minutes before anyone came over to seat us. Once seated, we sat for at least 15 – 20 minutes before we had a server come to our table. One of our party had to ask a passing server to please send over whoever was responsible for our table, at which point we were finally greeted. Our server brought out food for four out of the five people in our party, making our fifth person wait another 5 – 10 minutes for his burger. We were also celebrating a birthday(which one of our friends mentioned to the server, who assured us she’d take care of it)… The table next to ours got a song and dessert, while we watched and our birthday boy didn’t get recognized. The check came, which the server just quickly dropped on the table as she passed by on her way to another table. The service was passable, but by no means exceptional(or even good). The saving grace for our meal was the food, which is typical bar fare(and came out freshly made).

This place is a sports bar, so I would never expect top-quality food here, but the service during my most recent visit was pretty unbelievable — and not in a good way. We were served quickly, but it’s when the bill came that made this experience get only one star. My dad had a gift card for $ 100 and planned to use it for our beers and two racks of ribs. But when it came time to pay, the server informed him he couldn’t use it(on account of a new computer system). Now don’t get me wrong: I get it – I’ve worked in restaurants, I know the frustrations of a technical problem that’s out of your control. But I feel it is the restaurant’s responsibility to give patrons a heads up(put up a few signs, have the server tell you at the start of the meal– whatever!) This place is basically on Towson University’s campus. I can’t count the number of times in college I went to a restaurant on account of having a gift card alone and may not have had the money to spend on a meal without using it. That wasn’t the case for my father and I at this meal, but the way it was handled by both the server and management was ridiculous. The server(who was, by the way, wearing a Steeler’s jersey in a Baltimore sports bar which is all kinds of wrong) was hardly helpful, walking away as my dad asked to speak to a manager. Eventually the manager came over and gave the same story, with a tone bordering on rude. She promised to call the owner and about 20 minutes later, came back with a plan to call another location and run the card that way. So yes, EVENTUALLY, they came up with a solution but I doubt it is one they would’ve offered to college-age patrons. They also made it seem like SUCH an inconvenience that he ended up paying with a credit card anyhow. My issue is that they didn’t warn customers in the first place and when I suggested they put up signs or tell customers, they brushed me off. I may be young, but my money is just as valuable as any other customer who walks into this place. Not sure how my dad will end up using his gift card but if I’m with him it certainly won’t be at this location. PS the ribs weren’t that good.
