Had my husband and I’s wedding cake/cupcakes wedding was 10÷24÷15 done here and they were fabulous! The process from the first tasting to the finished product was wonderful! They even were able to make our fantastic cake topper, my husband and I love the TV show«Arrow» so our toppers were the Arrow and Black Carney characters they turned out awesome! Also the day after the wedding we stopped in for breakfast or brunch and I had a breakfast sandwich on croissant and my husband had I think chicken salad and MD crab soup everything was awesome! Just sucks that they don’t have a shop closer to us we live in Bel Air so please come to Bel Air!

Wonderful cakes and cupcakes. The food is pretty good too. I ordered a whole cheesecake for a birthday(he doesn’t like regular cake) and they added writing with no extra charge or hassle!

Their cupcakes are mediocre. I personally prefer Flavor Cupcakery in Cockeysville … They have a huge assortment(and more original recipes) to pick from and their ingredients are better. But if I’m in the area I’ll definitely go to La Cakerie for other desserts besides cupcakes. They also have donuts, croissants, pies, cakes, and even sandwiches! I love the setup of the bakery and think it’s in a great location off the Towson circle.

I stopped by for the first time a month or so ago and got some cupcakes and a cake for a dinner party… oh yea then saw the cannoli’s and well, they needed to be bought. First, the cupcakes were super delicious. I got a pumpkin and the chocolate merlot. The cupcakes themselves were fantastic but the frosting was the best part. I don’t like overly sweet frosting that makes you feel like you’re eating straight from the cookie jar, which is usually why I avoid cupcakes, but both frosting’s were perfectly light and not overly sweet. The cake was amazing and the entire group loved it. We did not leave even a crumb behind. Last the canolli’s, were very good and I’m glad for that last minute purchase. I also got lunch while there and for the ham sandwich with apples and I forget what else on a pretzel bun and it was AMAZING. I went in not too hungry but managed to eat the entire sandwich… oh yea and a cupcake. Due to the first experience, I was driving back with a group of folks from PA and we decided to stop since we’d be passing right by. A friend for the cheesecake and loved it. It happened to be 1 $ cupcake night(presumably because they were closing soon) and so I grabbed a few cupcakes to bring home and everyone loved them. This time I tried cookie dough with a delicious center filling and unicorn poop(I had to), and they were both great. Highly recommend.

LaCakerie made our wedding cake this past Fall. Their cakes are delicious! We had a 3-tiered cake with the bottom/top being chocolate bottom and the middle was carrot — AMAZING. The design was gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. We originally met with Jennifer who wasn’t too involved or interested in the wedding cake. She also didn’t want to make herself available — ever. We ended up working with Lauren who was amazing! She drew our cake out, gave us advice, and it turned out perfectly!

Mmmmmm… A stale cupcake for $ 3! I could make a dozen cupcakes with some Duncan Hines for the same price and it would have better texture. I ordered a chocolate fudge cupcake and was disappointed with the ‘fudge’ component that was supposed to be injected in the top. The frosting had some interesting tones to it and was not overly sweet, but I prefer a more substantial frosting instead of that super light kind. I assume the lack of overall freshness is due to the small amount of foot traffic but when your whole business is based on cupcakes, it’s important to get that part right. Maybe their ordered cakes are their true specialty. As far as positives, staff was friendly and the ambience is okay. They could do a better job presenting the product more favorably. I asked about the cheesecake and they said ‘they are very rich.‘ No interest in returning.

Not perfection but still great! Stopped by to continue my journey for my love of donuts. I got the glazed and chocolate almond. They were both okay donuts. Nothing too special, the chocolate was too thick and almonds too nutty. But they do have zekes coffee. However they have an amazing atmosphere and really helpful staff. I won’t come back for donuts but I will come back to try the other selections, which they have so many of. Stop by!(I hear the cupcakes are really good)

My new go to spot in Towson. Very comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. They food and coffee are very good and seem to have a unique selection of choices that rarely disappoint. I love coming her and spending a little time and trying different things every time I go. Gotta check this place out!

Yesterday, I visited this establishment and after seeing their decandent looking desserts decided to purchased a slice of cheesecake and one cupcake. I returned to my vehicle and was so thrilled to try the cheesecake, I cracked the container open and dived right in. To my dismay the cheesecake lacked flavor and was lumpy, yes lumpy!!! I am use to cheesecake being smooth and having a creamy consistency. This cheesecake was quite the opposite. I have never in my life had cheesecake that was dry, how does that happen? I would have been more satisfied had they choice to sell no baked cheesecake instead of their so-called take on cheesecake. I later gave the cupcake to a to a friend who after eating a fork-full of it threwing it out. I will never return to this establishment.

This spot has some good food, but I ordered a red velvet cake for a birthday and it wasn’t made with cream cheese frosting… it was soft, bland whipped cream icing or whatever. Nobody had a second slice over the next few days and I ended up throwing it in the trash. I’m pretty sure the standard icing for a Red Velvet is cream cheese icing, right? Not getting another cake from these guys again…

The best place to come to in town if you have a sweet tooth! The owner, Jason is so nice and personable! They also have real food that is really good! I’d highly recommend coming here to get your wedding or just a special event cake! They are very good at making an event one to remember with their specialty cakes!

Amazing cupcakes so fluffy and fresh and sweet but not to sweet lol. the ladies were so nice. This was the first time I’ve ever been to the Cupcakery! It was so nice and quiet in the store. It makes u feel like ur home when you walk in! Very bright and pretty. I got the 4 pack cupcakes and the prices weren’t to steep for 4 cupcakes! I loved it and will deff be back for there winter cupcakes as well !

We came in on a whim after my go-to cupcake place closed down and wow these are fantastic! I had the Oreo cheesecake and it was fantastic! My daughter loved their cotton candy and my husband loved the chocolate fudge cupcake. We all look forward to going back again!

Made flawless TMNT themed cake for BF’s birthday. Also made a delicious Dutch apple pie with a flawless, flaky crust that had me return for more. That’s when I found out about their yummy coffee($ 1 dollar deals at certain times). And there’s still this fresh ice cream cookie sandwiches thing I haven’t got to. OMG. Staff incredibly wonderful everytime I’m in. New local fave.

.They have great sandwiches and coffee! I have had the Raven, the Monte Cristo, and Neil’s favorite(I think; it is the 1st on the menu). Zeke’s coffee, large space, beautiful cakes, and a variety of other sweets in case you are wanting something other than cupcakes. I like cupcakes but i prefer to eat them cold(I know) so sometimes i get them to go. I have been here several times and I am glad to have a good sandwich place in Towson! Easy to to walk to.

Discovered this place last Friday and have already been back four times… Because it is just that great! Have tried an assortment of their breakfast sandwiches which are cooked to order. My husband favors the waffle breakfast sandwich. Also, can’t leave without trying something sweet! I always get at least get a pack of four cupcakes to bring home. They have all been amazing, very fresh. Usually with cupcakes I just eat the icing unless they have something in the middle. Not these, the entire cake is gone. I’ve also tried their cannolis(raspberry, almond and traditional) which are great, too! The small cakes are also great! We got a raspberry preserve flavored one for Mother’s Day and it looked phenomenal and tasted great! Their pricing is amazing. On average it’s $ 25 for my husband and I to eat, drink, and have something sweet to bring home for later. The staff is SO friendly! Whoever hires does an exceptional job because the employees always greet with a smile and are very kind. Today the cook had accidentally prepared eggs for my husbands sandwich the wrong way and he had came back twice(once to sake if he wanted a new and apologize, and a second time to make sure it tasted ok and apologize again!) it’s so hard to find combined great food and service, so this place is a breath of fresh air. The only thing that’s lacking a good barista. The Coffee brew is great, but if you are coming in for a specialty drink it may lack a little luster I highly recommend!!!

Not just desserts. And I’ve actually never had a dessert here so I can’t really comment on the cupcakes It’s a good place to grab a quick pastry and coffee for breakfast and avoid the lines across the street at THB. They serve Zeke’s coffee, which is local coffee roaster if you’ve never had it, most of their blends have a pretty strong flavor. Plus its a decently large place with seating, where it looks like it would be nice to camp out and write a paper or something

I’m updating my review, unfortunately, because the cupcakes don’t seem to taste consistently as good as they used to be. It’s a gamble these days. Sometimes I luck up, but most times the cupcakes taste like they have been refrigerated or too doughy. That sucks because I used to LOVE them. Now, I rarely bother.

This place is great! I grabbed some lunch for the car ride back to VA and had the turkey, spinach, goat cheese, and mustard on ciabatta bread and it was really, really delicious. It was a unique combination that worked! I also had four cupcakes to share with friends: eggnog, chocolate chip cookie dough, red velvet, and other one that I can’t remember the name of. The cake is dense, a bit dry, but good. Most of the cupcakes had some sort of filling them so that helped. The icing is delicious and just the perfect amount. Service was good. I came in on a rainy Saturday around 12:30 and the place wasn’t too busy so I was able to get everything within a reasonable amount of time. I’d definitely go back for lunch — if anything else — if I’m back in the area.

La Cakerie has grown up fast, having started as a small bakery and then moving to a location in Towson that is four times larger(or so it seems) than their previous spot. The new location has more parking, more seating, and it seems more food as well! While I have been to La Cakerie more than a few times, I have been going there for lunch recently as I learned they offer much more than cupcakes and traditional pastries. On this day, I ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice and a chicken panini. The orange juice machine they have is very quick and the taste is so much better than bottled and processed OJ. The chicken panini was really good with huge and fresh tomatoes, and some sort of sweet flavoring that really made the panini standout. My tongue applauded the effort. What I Like: — Creativity abound here! ALWAYSNEWFLAVORSANDIDEAS! Leave mundane tastes at the door. La Cakerie always innovates and delights it’s regulars with new products. This statement goes well beyond cupcakes. — Image-friendly snacks? Yup. You want a sugar cookie with your best friends mug on it? They do it. And it’s totally awesome. — Comfortable seating, for individuals AND groups. The new seating is a combination of individual leather seats, leather couches, and circular high top tables. Good for working, reading, or networking. — The people that work there are always attentive and polite. This characteristic can never be taken for granted. What I Don’t Like: — Coffee bar is substandard when measured up against everything else. I think when you sell premium bakery goods, the business should make the coffee for you instead of forcing you to use the corporate America coffee pump thermos. If you’re a coffee snob, this literally negates the positives. I mean, Dunkin Donuts does this for their customers, and they sell crappy/thoughtless donuts(and by thoughtless I mean, paint a donut purple and call it a «Joe Flacco»; don’t patronize me D&D). Overall, I think if they step up their coffee game(make it for you, and offer a greater variety of flavors) La Cakerie would be the best local bakery hands-down. I gave it 5-Stars because it still offers so much more than the competition, and the service is excellent. It’s a well run business with a healthy internal culture, and this is reflected in the quality of food and service.
