Z Burger

I came here around 2PM on Thursday and it was fairly busy. There were at least 4 or 5 orders ahead of us and we still managed to receive our food in a reasonable time.
The burgers were pretty good. I would say they’re very similar to five guys except maybe less greasy. I got the double bacon cheeseburger and it was more than enough on its own. I tried a few of my boyfriend’s fries though and they were really good, especially with malt vinegar. They also have a Coke freestyle machine so you can choose from a huge variety of different drinks.
I would definitely return. I think it’s a good value for the price, the service is friendly, and the restaurant is very clean.

I don’t write many bad reviews, especially not after one visit. But after this meal I don’t want to go back. Had a burger, fries and chocolate shake. My wife had just a burger and shake.
The burger was not bad but I would expect much more from a burger place. Meat was fresh but lacked beef flavor. Just blah. The fries were uneven. Some were undercooked while others were perfect. We must have had batches from two separate fryers. And finally the milkshakes had a decidedly plastic aftertaste. We thought it might be the cup so poured into a glass. We threw both out since the taste was so strong we were afraid there was something tainted.
For $ 26 someone needs to be doing quality control before the food goes out. Had we dined there we would have sent everything back but at least a manager could have seen the problem. As it is we just tossed most of it and hope they read this

I love this Z Burger! They have amazing customer service and extremely friendly. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The food is great and as close to perfection as possible. I love going after a night out on the weekends since they close at 3am! They care so much about their customers and make the experience there very fun! The lady in the front is so sweet and very good at promoting and helpful with fundraising ideas! I recommend this place to all my friends! And also there FREE WIFI! :)

Indeed noticeably clean and the staff were extremely friendly. They offered us a free ice cream sample… which was very nice. I’m a cheesesteak fan and decided to give that a try along with a milkshake. The cheesesteak looked good, but it was strangely devoid of flavor… almost so that I started to wonder if my taste buds were malfunctioning. We also had fries, which proved that by sense of taste was in tact. Unfortunately, they were lightly seasoned with a seasoning I did not really care for. The milkshake was nothing to get excited about either. Overall a clean and friendly place, but I found the food to be not overly enjoyable. Perhaps their burgers are better, but with a fantastic local burger joint across the street I am not really sure what the point would be.

As other Unilocalers have stated this location is really clean. Their burgers are pretty good and there’s more than enough toppings to create your perfect burger. Their milkshakes are good as well the only negative is the size of the cup. Other than that I was not disappointed and I will be a repeat customer. I was so excited to try the burger that I forgot to take a picture before biting into it lol.

Happy that they decided to add a location to Towson (conveniently located right up the street from where we live)! The service at the Towson location is superb… especially considering it’s a burger joint! Been three times this month and each time the employees and food did not disappoint. Compared to other burger joints in the area this is hands down the best! Also, highly recommend getting a half and half (fresh cut fries and onion rings).

My first experience at a Z Burger. Thought it was just another burger place, like Five Guys, but our experience at Z Burger amazing. Greeted as soon as we walked through the door. Placed our order and while we waited had a chance to take a quick tour. The restaurant was extremely clean– even the floors, not slippery or greasy and for a burger place that says a lot. Even the bathrooms were immaculate. I have read a few unfavorable Unilocal reviews and maybe now after being open for a month they have all the kinks worked out. Give them a second chance. Burgers were juicy and flavorful. Onion rings were great. z sauce was delicious with just the right amount of heat. I rarely leave a tip at fast food places, but felt compelled to do so on this visit. Did not try shakes or ice cream… Gives us a reason to go back! Love the Towson Z Burger!

Z burger offers a unique experience unlike any other. Highly recommended the chance to eat there.

The guy who looked like manager or owner was very nice.
But that’s about it.
First of all, I ordered a regular single patty burger with loaded on the side. I figured it was simple so they would get it right so I didn’t checked the bag. I came home and NO BUNS. I never said lettuce buns. I wanted the regular bread buns. Fries sucked. This was like five guys but terrible. Felt under-​cooked.
My friend who ordered a turkey burger also loaded was disappointed even more. When she unwrapped her burger, bread was already soggy because all sauces were directly on the buns. She said the fries were awful, so awful that she doesn’t even know what was wrong with them.
Z sauce was as if they tried to copy the bigmac sauce but utterly failed and we both choked on this overwhelming scent once we tried it. Kind of like choking on strong perfume or spray of disinfectant.
Maybe it’s just this location because she says the Columbia Heights one was great.
Next time we are sticking five guys.

My family owns a restaurant and one thing they are focused on is customer service. The customer service at Z-​burger is amazing. Just from the staff alone, I will go back there many more times. I was rushing so I ordered a cheeseburger and fries which was delicious. They had many options for milkshakes, which I will order next time. Everything was fresh and I can tell that nothing was frozen or defrosted before they cooked it. The restaurant was extremely clean and so were the restrooms.

I went to Z Burger’s free giveaway. It was a mob scene and Towson’s weekly Friday Block Party was in full swing. I have to say my wait in the long line, for a cheeseburger, was worth it.
These folks know CUSTOMER SERVICE. Some folks ordered their food and left due to the long wait. The staff gave away unclaimed orders, after calling the order numbers four times. They also gave away water to customers waiting for their orders.
Now the burgers… Juicy, fresh and flavorful. The burgers and fries exceeded my expectations. My (unexpected giveaway) veggie burger was great with exception of a few black beans. I purchased a shake from the 75 flavor options.
Z Burger is going to be my new monthly treat.

Wonderful, very clean location. Manager was nice, the servers were nice, everybody was friendly! I went in for their veggie burger, but didn’t prefer black bean burgers. Instead I and my bf got large fries with drink. On top of that, the manager offered grilled cheese to split on the house, which was on sesame bread and had slice of tomato, def your above average grilled cheese!
They have a lot of ice cream flavors for milkshakes and concrete, they have the newer soda fountains with more sprite flavors than I would have guessed! Strawberry flavored sprite was pretty sweet, maybe try grape next time.
One of the chefs mentioned they could make a veggie like hoagie for me next time, so I am definitely coming back for that.

Awesome food and great service. Loved the DC spots and now excited to see one near where I am now. Custard is fresh and tasty as well — will be back for sure!

Extreme friendly staff, I was greeted at the door. The cashier let me try their custard. Amazing cheesesteaks and shakes. Very clean location.

Wow. this new burger place in the heart of Towson is a gold mine. the burgers are hot n juicy
with super fresh hand cut toppings of your choice! the fries are abundant hot and hand cut.
they serve coke products in the new soda dispenser. burgers can be bunless and they have fresh condiments! Free wifi and they are open till 3 am on weekends. That’s great living a few steps away in the high rise condos.
z burgers is like the east coast version of in and out.
