Great food, extensive menu with options for everyone. Delicious crabs and a wonderful outdoor patio! Rec room definitely stepped it up a notch!

I’ve eaten there once. It was with a big group. Our food took a really long time. I had the pot roast quesadilla. It was just meat and cheese. No veggies. It was really heavy and salty.

Our sincere thanks go to the manager, Brian F, for overseeing our group of 13. We were hoping to have our last hooray on the patio, but the weather did not cooperate. So they moved us indoors. Wow, we were all truly impressed. Emilee, our server, managed to keep us all straight. She is a true asset to the Rec Room. She makes you feel so welcome. She took care of our every need. Most in our group had the burgers and raved about them. There is nothing like freshly ground beef cooked to your specification accompanied by the best French fries. Two in our party ordered the special Chicken Pot Pie — we were all jealous when we saw it. It was a very generous portion with a pastry thin crust. Another dish that got rave reviews was the Ravioli special. The strawberry salad and nut and fruit salad were huge — filled with everything yummy and beyond delicious. In addition to their regular menu(which is extensive), they also have full page of specials — soups — appetizers — salads — sandwiches and entrees. Our compliments to the chef. You find yourself wanting it all. Treat yourself to some delicious food at the Rec Room. Thanks for a great evening.

Excellent service. Decent prices. Brooks did a great job taking care of us. The outdoor seating is great. Not much noise from the traffic outside. And they had great music on 7⁄10.

The Dent Guys Girls and Baby had a tip to come try some real Baltimore Blueb Crab so we did. All 9 of us order the Jumbo size crabs which it was about 3 crabs per person… being from Georgia this was a real treat to eat something good for a change… we will be back for sure..

Nice service, food is ok. But they allow smoking indoors and on the enclosed patios so it’s pretty trashy clientele. If you smoke in public then you pretty much belong in a trailer park. It’s disgusting

Trying to find a menu online and their website keeps taking me to club torrent. If you own a big bar in Towson get a real website morons.

Nice open area out back. We played corn hole and drank outside. They have a back bar under the canopy as well as the bar inside. Drinks were reasonably priced. And it wasn’t too noisy.

I have been coming to this place for a number of years and the evolution of the facility over the years has been great. The Towson Tavern was a great split off, though I miss the loss of the pool tables. The outdoor patio addition is absolutely awesome! Drinks here are reasonable and during the fall/spring you can find a very lively crowd. As is the case with most of the Towson bars things slow down somewhat over the summer as students go home.

Covered outdoor seating in the back. Bar food is good. Their fries are awesome. Burger and fries do the trick. Atmosphere changes completely on weekend nights. Drunk college kids.

I am Melissa Z’s crazy drunk friend — just to clarify I was neither crazy or drunk — Im just from Jersey and didnt give a nuck if you buck wild. The Rec Room is huge and thats cool if its packed I guess, Mely wanted to hang out in the front cause there was music, The DJ was decent he really had me at Return of the Mack but lost me with Single Ladies(really?) and I was just conundrumed when everyone was doing the wobble — yo Toto we aint in New York anymore. I do like that folks are much friendlier in MD than in nasty old New York. The drinks were cheap, I bought a round 2 Coronas, and 2 patron shots for $ 20. There are a lot of hot young boys — I like ‘em young… well over the age of 21. I’d go back again in a heartbeat to smash it up and drink beers and maybe get my cougar on!

Good for the young Johnny College or after work dive bar. The inside just smells like walking into your local frat house in college. It makes me so nostalgic. I’m a fan of the patio and their 2-for-1 drink specials during the week. Food is descent bar food, good low-key place to meet up with a group.

I had a great time but that was because I was with my crazy drunk friend. Guys are a little too young in there for me so it’s a great place to dance, get trashed. I must say everyone was super friendly.

Never tried the food here. Not sure I would. Mixed drinks are usually pretty good. Jack and Coke is my go to drink. Pool tables are solid. They actually just expanded the area and made a huge back deck which is nice on cooler nights in the summer. Fun place, but it slowed down a little now that CVP’s opened up again, with an outdoor area as well. It will be interesting to see how these places compete against each other. Right now CVP’s is owning them with the specials. However, I do like the Rec Rooms back deck area better. More seating.

My car was keyd there the other night while it was parked out back in the alley. The entire car was damaged. $ 5,000 worth of destruction. Anyone with any information on this please call 410−446−2683. Reward offered if information leads to an arrest.

A typical college bar with decent bar food and drinks. Very average in a no-nonsense way. If you want a burger and fries or some wings and beer, this is a good place to go.

The REC Room is an ok bar, it is a typical Towson college hangout where the young people can indulge in a lifestyle(No Priorities) that will end once graduation day comes. Well for some give it a year or two after college :).

When I first visited The Rec Room a few months ago… I wasn’t really impressed. It was a Friday night & pretty empty. We played pool for a while and ate their nachos. But then one night a few weeks later we stumbled upon their«Patio». It’s a new addition to the bar set in the back and literally separated from the building. It even has a separate bouncer checking IDs to get into the patio. You can enter the patio without actually walking through The Rec Room from the back side street. The Patio is where it’s at. It was crowded with people. Lots of tables and space to hang out at. There’s even a few couches around. The patio area is pretty big and holds quite a bit of people. You can smoke there at your table if you’d like. It has it’s own bathrooms out there(and they were pretty clean). We met one of the managers and she was very sweet and informative and really proud of the new addition to The Rec Room. We like to make this one of our first stops when bar hopping in Towson.
