Sushi is good here! Great flavor. Friendly service. Usually able to get seated quickly. Most likely our choice over all other Japanese restaurants in town.

Our go-to for sushi in Tracy. Fresh fish, always clean and friendly, and the staff remember us. They know my husband’s regular order every time. Amazing staff and great food, give it a try if you’re ever in Tracy!

The food was fresh and well displayed. The service was warm and welcoming. It’s closer to my home so I’ll definitely be back to enjoy their delicious food!

First time coming here, we were a large group(12), with our disabled clients. Took 30 mins to get drinks, I had to ASK the lady to turn on the a/c because we were sweating. The bathrooms are not kept or updated and the women’s was out of order. I ordered the Tokyo roll and calamari appetizer which was $ 8. When the calamari arrived with only 8 rings I was disappointed. I asked the lady if she was serious and that was it. She said yes I explained that that would be ONEDOLLARPERRING. Without too much sympathy she said she would ask about it. She brought out another tray with about 3 more reject pieces of calamari cold and no sauce. As our group began to get ready to leave, she shouted«what about the other receipt?!» To my fairly obvious non-verbal client and we had to reassure her they we would In Fact pay for all of our meals. Terrible terrible service, overpriced, but the roll was decent. Small for the price but taste was good

I used to be a regular here. But I’m not satisfied with their prices for the quality of food I get. It’s really hard to find GOOD sushi/Japanese food for the right price in Tracy. The service is great and the lady seems to remember or know everyone that walks in and greets them with a big smile. They’re all really attentive. I don’t like it when a business tries to ‘save’ money by scrimping on the food. That’s the issue I had with this place. Their bentos are not worth the price. I can get a bento for the same price in Pleasanton and I get way more food/options. Their sushi’s are a hit or miss. Some days they’re a good size and others… really small. And I wish they had more to offer in their menus as well. Add more foods and sushi’s, but I guess that has to do with volume. And they never get busy. They also never seem to have certain food items when it’s on the menu.

Gave this place a second chance thinking they were just short of staff. Horrible service. It took almost an hour to get our food and then not everyone’s meal came at once. My meal finally arrived to table after everyone else was done eating. I won’t be going here ever again.

This place is pretty good. We ate here for Valentine’s Day and ordered the cucumber salad Hermes roll paradise roll and 911 roll and split a large Sapporo the bill was only 60 $ which isn’t to bad for sushi. The rolls were really fresh and the place was very nice spacious comfy chairs. Not anything bad I just always compare to my favorite sushi but we will definantly be back when we are in Tracy.

Came here because of the good reviews on Unilocal.I was very disappointed. They claim to have all you can eat, but their roll selection is very basic with no gourmet rolls you would expect for the price you pay. I opted for the individual rolls. Took a long time to get service… followed by a very long wait for food(only ordered 2 rolls), waited 30 mins for them to come out when the restaurant was maybe 1⁄3 full.

A 10 year old kid brought us menu’s after the sushi chef told us to sit where we want. Child labor? Three parties walked in after us. And the 1 server took care of all three parties before us. When she came to our table to give us the menus we told her we were ready but she just ignored us and walked away. We left after 38 minutes of waiting we left I never leave bad reviews but this explains why this place is always empty. Happy New Years right?

Meh, I don’t think we’d go back. Someone posted a photo of an AYCE menu, but that is NOT their current menu or pricing. Instead, they have an AYCE menu with levels on it. In order to get AYCE with the sushi included the price is almost $ 40, and no appetizers, soups, or salads are included. For this $ 40 lunch, you can only have rolls or basic sushi. We paid $ 20 a person, and could only choose from simple rolls such as California or spicy tuna. Sure the spicy tuna was really good, but the California roll was mediocre at best. We would have done better if we would have ordered the 3 roll lunch special for $ 15 that included soup and salad. In addition, they charged $ 4.50 for each tiny side of rice, and they do not have iced green tea. Since this is the first sushi restaurant that we’ve tried in Tracy, I’m certainly hoping it’s not the best.

Is there anything lower than 1 star? Just plain and simple, worst sushi place. This is second time since they opened. I wonder if the samon is from Costco? Fishes were all mushie.

Hands down best sushi spot in tracy. I moved to tracy last year 2014. I’m originally from the fremont area. Fremont has Satomi sushi which is hands down best spot in the east bay. I would say ahii is very close if not exactly like Satomi. Sushi is really fresh and flavorful no fishy taste. The sushi chef and owner is really friendly his name is chuck. He will make you any roll you want. Think of something he will make it. Environment very clean and open. Great selection in beers and saki. Listen. We live in tracy. Everything here is cheap, gas, housing, and cost of living. But the sushi at ahii isn’t cheap. This place belongs in sf not tracy.

Ahii was a pleasant surprise in an unexpected location. On our first visit we tried the salmon teriyaki, mixed tempra, chicken teriyaki, tuna sashimi and miso soup. Disclaimer — I am used to the quality of restaurants like this that you would find on the peninsula or in San Francisco. That said, nothing was extraordinary, everything tasted as expected. However, the salmon teriyaki combo with tempura although a perfect portion for me is a very small portion for anyone with an average appetite. The atmosphere and customer service was great. I’ll definitely be back, because after all it’s a welcome close to what you can get without having to drive to the West Bay.

Great Sushi at a great price. Had the Lion King and philly roll. Oh did I mention that they have 50% and 20% off rolls every day.

First of all: the chefs are not Japanese, which is not a big deal(I’ve had sushi chefs with a Korean background make pretty good sushi for me before) but on top of that they do not know how to make actual sushi here. This place is usually empty. I have yet to see more than 2 parties eating there at the same time whenever I walk past it. I’ve eaten here once and have ordered the tekka maki, sake nigiri and Saba sashimi. The way the fish was cut was sloppy and clumsy — a sight that would make a real sushi chef cringe. The quality of the fish is the lowest of the low. The tuna literally had freezer burn. What they’re really counting on though is that you order the fusion rolls(you know the dishes that are drenched in mayonnaise, that people like to call sushi now). When you think of sushi, you think of healthy slices of raw fish, with a small amount of rice, rolled up in some nutritious seaweed paper. That’s not so bad is it? A lean protein with some healthy carbs and some nutrient packed seaweed. Well, it isn’t bad… if that’s where it ended. However, sushi has become so americanized and flamboyant over recent years that those are not the only ingredients. Sushi now comes packed with fatty mayonnaise, artery clogging fried fats, and sugar-laced white rice that make it tastier, and unhealthier, than ever. This place is the perfect example for that. Save yourself the nasty experience and don’t eat here.

I would have to say that this place is PHENOMENAL!!! The customer service was top notch, the food was top notch and the vibe in the Restuarant was very welcoming. I would definitely come back again and again. We came here for my friend’s birthday and we all had a great time. The ambiance is absolutely wonderful! This restaurant has it all right. Great job and thank you for making us feel welcomed. Phenomenal, absolutely PHENOMENAL!

FINALLY found a good sushi place in Tracy. Went here on a whim for lunch with my hubby and 16 mo old son. The lady working here was soo sweet and very fast, intuitive, and on top of it. We ordered the lunch specials– salmon teriyaki, spicy CA roll, regular california roll. My son absolutely loved the salmon and it came with apple slices and rice which was awesome. The california rolls were on point and we also got edamame which was good but could use a little more salt. We came back the next week for dinner with my sister and got a few rolls including the Lion King & Caterpillar. Both were awesome. The lion king fell apart though so deducting 1 star for that. The caterpillar was great! and we had to get a spicy california roll again as that thing is delish. Once again, the lady serving us was awesome. She gave my son extra apples, was always there to refill waters and clear plates. The younger male who sat us was super awkward though and made everyone a little uncomfortable. I think he was just filling in for the lady though. I would definitely not send him out to greet or seat anyone in the future.

I just found my fav sushi spot in Tracy! It was my first time dining here tonight & the food is amazing. The appetizer, Jalapeño Bomb, was delicious, along with my main course, in which I didn’t venture too far from my normal sushi pick, being a California girl, I ordered the California rolls. However, it was my guest’s 40th belated birthday celebration, so they offered free dessert, mochi, which I had never eaten before. It was fantastic & paired well with a sweet sake they serve called Sayuri. I will definitely return soon to treat my husband. Thank you for the good eats & a wonderful dining experience! PS — The tip is included, so if you would like to give them more than 15%, then be sure to look over the bill carefully.
