First time here. The 2 ladies who cut our boys hair(Marissa & Kristi) are friendly, good with kids.

Never going back again they messed my little boy’s hair, I can see bold spots, one side is higher than the other one, on the top the hair is uneven I can’t even style his hair because is too short, and the back is horrible. I could understand if my kid was moving and screaming, but he wasn’t. Even she was surprised that he was still and quiet. Now I have to go another place and pay again to fix my son’s hair. This time I’m going to a barber shop.

I’ve been here couple times I wasn’t very happy with my haircut. Took my son today to give them another shot and I didn’t like the way they did my sons haircut

The girls here are awesome. My daughters get very cute cuts and they are always very helpful with the styling. The stylists are up to date on the newest trends and very talented. I got my mid back length hair cut off to an A line and the did a great job. My daughter donated her hair to charity here as well. great place !!! We come here at least 2 times a month.

If you’re a guy, DON’T go here! They aren’t trained to cut men’s hair! They use scissors for a fade and leave you with a bowl on your head! The photos shown prove that! Terrible fades and I highly suggest ALLMEN go to HAIRCUTZ on Tracy Blvd! Right next to CVSAND Straw Hat Pizza! The Asian ladies rock at doing fades!!! Ask for«Mai». She specializes in men’s hair! These women here are lazy and couldn’t care less about you! MEN be warned! By the way, my brother fixed my hair when I got home!!!

I was the first customer on Friday morning for the stylist that has 20+ years experience but I was so very disappointed with her lack of customer service and skill. She was so busy talking to her assistant that she never bothered asking me about my hair and now my bangs are uneven and the rest is just a mess. I will definitely stick with Visual Image in Fremont. She didn’t even bother to dry or style my hair and so she sent me out in the rain with wet hair!!! Very very disappointed!!!

Decent place but they keep messing up my son’s haircut. Unless we are there coaching the stylist on what to do, it will come out wrong. The one on Tracy Blvd is tons better. They always get it right and are friendly. I only go to this one because it’s closer to where we live. Looks like it’s time to waste the extra gas to get the correct hair cut.

So, I went for a haircut the other day. I got someone I had not had before; well I will not go to her again or to them again. This lady cut my hair it felt like she was cutting my scalp off. It hurt I had to tell her to stop, she stopped and got another pair of clippers for the back. She never said she was sorry about that she just kept keep on working. I will not go back. It hurt believe me. Plus, my haircut was lousy, one side is longer then other, one side curls up and other is too short. I will have to trim it myself. Thanks for nothing people

Unfortunately i cannot give a negative star rating. My fiancée and I are getting married today and her hair stylist ended up in the hospital at the last minute. My fiancée tried going to Great clips to get a quick up do. When she arrived there were 4 girls working and no customers. She was turned away and told for that type of style she needed an appointment. REALLY?!? when my fiancée explained her situation, there was no remorse, just. That is our policy, please make an appointment and come back, if we take you, that will take a hair stylist off the floor for too long if we get busy. Now my fiancée is doing her own hair. When i told the woman there that on her wedding day, I hope she receives the same quality service that she had given us, she acted offended. Why would you be offended if you didn’t know you were offering bad service?

Great Clips is a 3-star place. It’s a very typical place where they have plastic chairs in the waiting area next to hair products that I never see anyone buying and you can tell it’s a low-margin business because they only have 1 phone line so if someone’s on the phone, they can’t run the credit card transaction thru. What makes it 5-star is certainly not the place, but Hien. Hien is an immigrant from Vietnam who is such a hardworking and talented lady. Her broken English is a bit difficult to understand, but it’s not a problem for me. On my biweekly haircut visits, we always have share small talk and every other week I learn more and more about what a great person she is. When I first started going there, I jumped from stylist to stylist(or should I say butcher to butcher?). Seems no one can really cut my hair. All I hear every single time is: «your hair’s so thick and straight». Ok… what do you want me to do about it? Did they all miss«Cutting Asian hair» day in beauty college? God forbid if a black guy walked in(come to think about it I’ve never seen a brother walk in…). Then one day I got Hien. She picked up her clippers and went to town on my head. She buzzed and snipped faster than Edward Scissorhands on steroids on her thin 105 lb frame. When she was done, there was no bald spots, no unevenness, and the border was squared off just the way I like it. The best part is that she can do it in about 6 minutes. That’s how much of a bad*$$ she is! She didn’t have to ask the girl next to her to come help, didn’t have to look up in the hair encyclopedia on how to fix a jacked up haircut, or run to the back to grab the can of black spraypaint. The rest is history. What also impresses me about Hien is how hard she works. On her off days, she works at another barber shop to keep the bills paid. This lady does around 40 haircuts a day and often cuts(no pun intended) her lunches short so customers don’t wait long for her because she’s the only one here that has a long queue. Sometimes the wait is over an hour for her because she’s that good! You know how people are sometimes reluctant to write Unilocal reviews because they don’t want to divulge their secrets because it negatively impacts them? This is one of them. Unilocaling about Hien is only gonna make my wait much longer for a haircut from now on. Fellas – if I’m waiting for a haircut because of YOU, you better tip her well. She works hard for her money and very deserving!

Love this place. I always go here for my haircuts before military drill weekends. However I wish the asian lady would work mornings though. She cuts my hair perfectly every time and takes no less then 10 minutes to do it. The price is a little steep but I have military discount and after adding the tip I pretty much pay full price when I walk out the door. Great place to get your hair cut though and use the online check –in. Saves you the unnecessary wait when there’s a lot of joe’s waiting for haircuts.

I always get a good haircut. Their computer remembers what I want, so I don’t have to tell them. New mobile check-in.

I wouldn’t recommend for kids… The two ladies cutting hair both stalled after they both finished their previous customer when it was time for my daughters hair cut(6yrs old). Then finally when my daughter got her hair cut the other lady raced to get to the next customer. 2 thumbs down! Go to great clips by savemart for kid friendly service :) the hair cut was decent so I gave an extra star.
