MJ’s Bar & Lounge

Its a cool spot to chill. There is usually never a wait to use the pool table. The bartenders are nice. The owner Mike is also personable.

This is a great place to go and chill after a hard work day or just for play. My favorite is the comfort of playing pool or sitting on the patio. What more can you ask for? Great music as well as good and friendly service. Don’t forget the plush chairs and white VIP area located upstairs.

Spoke to the owner around 2:00 and I was told «Come back at 4:00! We’ll be open at 4!» Not wanting to seem anxious but really wanting to try this new place I showed up at 4:11. MJ’s was not open. Waited in my car until 4:30, watched for them to open. Tried the doors at 4:30, still closed and locked. I don’t get it. While I was waiting I noticed there were no signs showing hours of operation, no «open» «closed» signs. Hope this is not going to be another «gonna be open when I feel like it» Tracy business. When will Tracy business owners realize and understand how important «truth in advertising» is? Wish I could review based on actual product/​service, but I wasn’t given the chance!

We went there and had a great time. Very nice and everyone was very welcoming. Good music. I would go back for sure.

This was a really cool chill place to hang out. Came here on New Years and the music was awesome. The drinks were good and can’t wait to some back here again

We went here after drinks at another bar to shoot pool. The pictures were a little misleading. The place is more divey than it look from the pictures. When we went there, it was very empty. We had fun nonetheless as we sipped on our beers and shot some pool. They have a nice pool table, but if you are not there first, you will have to wait. It is a nice place to go to hang out and sip on some drinks.

The music was too loud. Small spot. Would have been nicer with the sound level turned down.

This is a nicely laid out place with lots of potential for different events, get together’s or parties. After diner this past Saturday night, the wife and I decided to check the place out. We arrived around 8:30 pm, before it got too busy. I guess on both Friday and Saturday nights, they host a live DJ who brings in a crowd.
I think MJ’s host more TV’s than Buffalo Wild Wings (square foot wise), and should be your go to place to watch the games if it’s not already.
For those who like billiards, there’s a pool table in the back with lots of room for your cue stick, places for your drinks beside the tables edge and what’s this, more TV’s.
I can also tell by the 15″ Peavey speakers hanging overhead this place can rock the sounds when the volumes turned up.
This would be an idea place for a bachelor or bachelorette party and again, the go to place for any televised sporting events. A great place for the older crowd who enjoy low light, old school music and a touch of class.
This is exactly what downtown Tracy needed.

Great bar… reminds me of my years in Oakland. Cool Classy. Urban. a little street. and a pool table. Music was great hip hop and R&B and some bay area thrown in. ;-)

This place is awesome the music is really really good the drinks are good and great atmosphere love it still very new so theres not a lot of people here but hey come here people and turn up I like it better than the great plate good place to chill and relax and also dance nice bar and seating area and a pool table on the back with bathrooms and an upstairs private nice area and out door love it!!! And they give you snacks for free when you get drinks how nice is that come by

Great door staff and the bar tenders were decent and friendly. However, the drinks were sadly overpriced! $ 20 for two simple drinks.

We came on a Sunday when there isn’t too much happening and me and my boyfriend still had a great time! We were the only ones in there and instead of being awkward, everyone was extremely welcoming and made sure we were having fun.
The music was great and the beers were cold! Great place to be. Can’t wait to see what it’s like on a busy night!

Definitely a cool little spot in Tracy to come kick it. The owners take care of you and are beyond welcoming. I’ll be back for sure.
While the Bloody Mary didn’t top my list of favorites, I had 3. That obviously says something! If you like sweet though, I’d recommend either the chocolate martini or the watermelon one.

I have a great night out everytime! Great music, the bartenders are great and always a mature atmosphere! Cheers to prosperity!!!

MJ’s is a great place to relax and listen to some great music and bomb ass cocktails! The cucumber gimlet is the best.

Came here on Saturday with my fiancè, we had a great time. We planned on staying for just a drink, but we both loved the vibe of MJ’s so much we ended up staying for a few hours. So happy that Tracy finally has a place like this! The owners were both extremely nice. We will definitely be back, probably this weekend!

Great drinks, amazing staff! Best place in town to relax and enjoy good music while enjoying a cold beer.

My good friend turned me on abt this place just yesterday (thanks Jaontra) & had to check it out. Very nice enviroment. CLEAN. The owners are very welcoming and genuine. The bartendar was on her A game. She was attentive and friendly. The music was soft and just right. The people were really friendly and fun. I enjoyed myself. I will definately go back.

Stopped in Thursday after work. This is the spot that Tracy has been missing for so long! Finally a nice moderately classy bar where the after 5 professional can enjoy a great cocktail in a relaxed atmosphere. Met one of the owners ‘J’. She was extremely friendly and welcoming. Wishing for the best for both her and her husband ‘M’. This is definitely a place I’ll have to put on the list to frequent.
