I’ve always had a good time there, pool, darts, dancing and drinks. I have not had any issues but I have seen the manager take care of an issue for a customer and they were happy with the resolution. That’s always been important to me, not just that something comes up, cause it happens everywhere, I’ve had a friend turned away at a place in San Ramon due to their shoes dress codes can be a pain but sometimes necessary. Usually though my judgement comes from what happens after/with the knowledge of an issue and how it’s treated after the fact. They care so they’ll keep getting my business ;)

Cool spot for pool, darts, dancing and drinks. The bartender is nice and the atmosphere is cool. It’s clean, secure and just a cool chill spot. Lots of locals, dj on the weekends and a jukebox on other days haha.

Went there last night to try it with some friends and overall it was fun. We got there around 9 and left around 11. It was a Friday night, any man who didn’t have a collard shirt on had to leave or get one. That rule was sort of silly to me, but I get it there trying to have people dress nice. There weren’t many people there when we were, but the DJ played good music. They have pool there for a dollar each round… Which is fun to play especially when drinking. The security guys were the only reason I’m giving this place a 4 out of 5. They were overly dramatic, they’re not cops, although I’m sure they want to be. They could have been a little nicer, I mean we’re not criminals it’s just a bar. Other than that, the bartender was awesome, didn’t catch her name but she made great drinks from margaritas to jack and coke, to tap beer. Overall I would come back.

I’ve been there 2 times. Both were for paint night. First time we ordered food. Then 30 minutes later was told someone didn’t show up for work and the cook was behind. There was only 5 other people there. But ok fine I get it. We did have to cancel the food because the paint class was starting. So last week my friend and I went to another paint night. We got our drinks and ordered nachos with no olives and the salsa on the side. After 30 minutes we were told the cook was really busy and someone didn’t show up for work. Really? I find it really coincidental that both times I have been there they said someone didn’t show up for work. So that was the excuse for waiting so long. Finally when the nachos came they were covered in olives and everything was on the side. It was obvious that the chicken had been microwaved because it was so rubbery. The bartender did apologize for the nachos being wrong. We actually should Have sent them back but we didn’t, we took a few bites but then the paint night started so we just left them on the table. I really wanted to like this place but the food and service is really bad. Bartender was very friendly. I just find it hard to believe that they had someone not show up both times. And if that was the case the owner should be back there helping. There is no way it should take 40 minutes to get nachos. There is no way I will ever go back. Which is such a shame.

Horrible place! This type of social entertainment should get shut down! Security and the owner both treated my family with disrespect on our first time here. Never again!

I gave this place 5 stars because the bartenders are friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, there is a good mix of different kinds of people and different ages. Management brings in interesting activities, and really, there aren’t many places to go in Tracy, so kudos to the Grant Bar for making Tracy a better place to be!

I want to give this pace more stars… But after the experience my parents had this last weekend… I can’t. They were there early, having drinks and enjoying themselves. When 10:00 hit, they tried to kick my father out for not having a collard shirt on. Which, if someone has been there already for awhile, seems absolutely ridiculous! I understand if you showed up at, or after 10 but if you’ve been there for hours before that… You shouldn’t HAVE to be kicked out for no collard shirt. Even better, they turn to see another gentleman walking up, after 10, shakes hands with the bouncers(obviously he knew them personally) and they let him in, with no issues at all, without a collard shirt on. I get it. You’re trying to make people dress nicer, to possibly weed out certain type of individuals… But trying to tell someone they have to leave because of no collard shirt, who has been there for awhile. Is just not right. I support this place, since it’s the ONLY decent night spot in Tracy… For now. Also, definitely give it up to a select few DJ’s there. That I know personally. The old school is ok… But at least throw in some Top40 to appease the younger crowd. Other than the issue I had above… This place could be something good for Tracy… Hope the owners get it right, they got a nice place. Just need to know what they wanna do with it.

Very strange atmosphere. My husband and I went there on a Friday night and were(very rudely) turned away because of my husband’s attire. He had a sweat suit on. We thought that was OK because it must be really nice inside in order to have such a strict dress code, right? Wrong. We went back another evening, dressed appropriately, and we were so disappointed. I’m not sure where they got the disco ball, but I’m sure that I saw the same one at Walmart. The bar seems to be in a very inconvenient place, right in the middle of the room. There were a few overstuffed chairs, but not much more. I couldn’t really figure out the dining area. And the VIP section… That was weird, too. Overall very disappointed that we actually made plans to go back after being turned away the first time.

The owner(s) seem to be allowing The Grant Bar to go into a downward spiral. My wife and I were there for New Years eve and had a really good time with our friends. Last night was completely different. Our friends were kicked out at 10pm, after being there for 3 hours, because one of them didn’t have a collared shirt. This came from a very rude bouncer who was dressed like a handyman. When he asked to speak to the owner, who was there, the bouncer came back outside and told them, «The owner said, the dress code is to keep pieces of sh*t out.» These are people who have gone there many times. They won’t be going back and nether will we. My apologies to anyone I recommended this place to.

I did write a review about this place from my previous visit. I got the chance to come and actually experience what the Grant Bar is all about. Food ratings: 1 Stars — I ordered the only chicken sandwich on there menu and it come out to be very chewy, tasteless, and full of cheese. Lucky our waitress was nice enough to get that taken off of our tab. — Along side my main meal I ordered a side of fries with cheese and bacon on top. I was very disappointed… the fries were cold and soggy, there was an overload of cheese, and the bacon just made the overall mess even worse. Again our waitress was nice enough to have it taken off our tab. — We also ordered their wings which I had gotten my previous visit. They were delicious. Drinks: 3 stars Whats disappointing is that they tried to tell me they don’t and have never served Mango Margaritas. I had to pull up my Unilocal review which lucky I had posted a picture of the mango margarita they made. I should add they were shocked lol I still didn’t get my mango margarita but I did order a vodka pineapple which was very delicious. We ended up paying for our drinks and wings. Venue: 3 Stars I personally believe this place is cheaply set up. The Grant has great potential if it was under the right hands. Tracy definitely needed a place like this but this place is disappointing. I don’t think I will be visiting this place unless I’m obligated to.

The outside is promising. The service is absolutely unacceptable. We had plans, spoke with the owner three days prior, then the manager was rude & told us we could easily be lying. He was snarky and unprofessional. I work in the hotel/hospitality industry Anyone that reads this review and still goes there, I hope you get better service than what we received. We will definitely be contacting the owner again to inform him of the incompetent boy that clearly does not know how to handle a situation that he knows nothing about.

I am rewriting this review out of respect of someone’s request for me to take down my first review. Let me start off by saying that I am NOT the person who signed the contract to hold an event here. My review is solely based on my personal experience and not what was signed nor agreed upon by both parties. I chose to rewrite a review rather than not writing at all because I am an avid Unilocaler and businesses should know how to take the good with the bad. I stand by my first review when I say that the customer service was lacking and the furniture wasn’t very polished, even for a place that is not a «hall or suite». And I also firmly stand by the fact that no one let us in to set-up until 11:30am; however, other staff members were inside prepping. I’ve personally had an event at a bar establishment before and the experience was beyond professional; hence, I was surprised to encounter the poor service we did with this venue. While I do see the potential this place has, it can look a little classier and provide professional customer service. The food wasn’t horrible for a bar establishment either. In fact, two of my favorite appetizers was the meatballs and the artichoke dip on top of a fluffy pastry. Based off my personal experience, I honestly wouldn’t come back here by choice. This place is probably decent for people who are sports fans during the day and want to get their boogie on during the night.

It was OK… drinks are nothing special. No Drink menu!!! Second no good music going. Because they had a salsa class on the other side so they kept starting and stopping the music which added a damper on the atmosphere and then there was a guy sleep at the bar so that was fantastic who kept staring at us when he wasn’t sleep overall cool place to hang out and just talk. Need work inside paint mostly. Bathroom was very clean

I feel a bit mislead by reviews that got me here. Two couples at the bar plus my party of three sitting in the corner… Friday night. No music, TVs on above the bar. Awkward bartender… He seems friendly but each interaction was just a little off. It’s so quiet in here(reminder: it’s Friday night) we can clearly hear the couples at the bar(on the other side of the building) talking about work and some lady«just doesn’t care» for one of her coworkers. One of the guys knows a lot of stats on Pittsburgh Steelers’ players. Enough about the ambience. Food and drinks were ordered. «Out«of a few of their highly-reviewed 24 tap handles. «Out» of one of two happy hour taps. Perhaps make one of the other ones available for happy hour? Bud Light was the only happy hour beer available. Sliders were good. There’s a stage. Doesn’t seem to be setup for live music though. Reminds me of the VIP room in the back of a 1970s gentleman’s club in downtown Detroit. Will post a picture. Can’t tell if this is the Twilight Zone, the reviews I read on Unilocal are pure fiction, or they previously had all of the qualities people are mentioning but it fizzled. Confused. UNLESS this is the beginning of a video where it’s deceptively quiet and strangers are punked into thinking it’s dead then — BOOM — the dancing girls come out topless and confetti falls from the ceiling, Spuds Mckenzie winks at the camera and everyone chuckles. Nope. None of that cool stuff. Yet… A solid two star experience.

Stood at the bar for 10 minutes without being acknowledged or served. Meanwhile the bartenders weren’t busy. The place has the smell of an old mop which needs to be cleaned.

In a slightly strange location near the nail bar in the same shopping plaza as Winco Grant Bar opened this week. The space is large and I’ve heard of some of the ‘plans’ they have for the Bar which are yet to be seen. The plan? Restaurant /during the day which will then turn into an adults only club after 9pm where DJ’s will attend as well as Comedy nights and other shows. That’s a lot for one business to undertake. The space is nice with a dance floor and 24 Beers on tap, there’s not many places around here you can get that! It’s only early stages yet but I am intrigued to see where this goes, it has potential I think. Not so sure about the attire the staff wear though, seems more Vegas than Tracy.
