If you are on the way from here to there and hangry you can certainly stop here for a sangwich and a beer to warsh it down. Food is delivered promptly. Service is good for the shore. Plenty of smiles and friendly advice. Don’t bother with the pork rinds save yourself for the real food. Of note the two-way mirror TV seems to be a great idea for every man cave!

Very high quality Texas style BBQ. Running a Lang smoker so they obviously did their research.

BBQ is excellent. Smoky, juicy, flavorful. Everything tastes perfectly fresh and delicious, down to the delicately spiced pickled vegetables on the side. Nice choice of local brews and reasonably priced wines by the glass. Service was perfect — solicitous but not overbearing. The only reason this is a 4 star review and not 5 is for price. Though you can choose reasonably priced sandwiches and sides, most mains are pretty steep, which keeps me from putting The Smokehouse in my regular rotation. I wish I could afford to, I’ve been talking about it constantly since I ate there!

Food was excellent and service as well. Drafty/cold sitting by Windows, but very nice place for dinner.

My new favorite place to go. Service is great, food is very good and the price is right. If you haven’t tried it you’re missing bout.

This place has had great potential for years but never lived up to where it could be. I was hoping that the new owners would improve things. I had a brisket sandwich but the brisket was sliced way to thick and was very dry. My guest had a smoked steak sandwich and finished it saying that it was fine but nothing exciting. Service was good and beer was cold, probably worth another visit before writing this place off.

This place might be my new favorite in Talbot County! The interior design and ambiance are old-school cool and have a very manly look to them– think old-time steakhouse with an Eastern Shore twist. Dark woods, masculine colors, white tablecloths, and a marble entry set the look. Servers are dressed in white shirts and black pants, lending to the vibe. A large photo of a hunter on the water gives the local flair. The drink selection is great, with local microbrews well-represented. Mixed drinks seem to be readily available as well. Food is outstanding. We had the brisket fritas and the smokehouse classic platter. All were better than expected. Prices aren’t out of line, and servings are average to large.

Great ambiance, food is delish and service is on point. We were visiting from California and saw so many BBQ places with baby back ribs, but hubby wanted beef ribs. Tom’s wife who works at the hotel we stayed at recommended this place and we are so glad she did! It is not on the main highway, so we never would have run into it. We loved everything about it! Hubby and I shared the Whole Hog with a few extra sides and were totally satisfied. Ended dinner with a bread pudding to go. Needless to say, we will be coming back before our trip comes to an end.
