I stepped in while my laundry was drying, not only was I allowed to substitute chocolate for Nutella on my crêpe. It only took 6 minutes for it to be brought out to me in what could have been considered a rush hr. They do pass out numbers and a couple time I noticed the waitress circle looking for number so make sure yours is viable but over all it was the best crêpe since French Class in High School. I would venture to say TR has stepped up its game and offered an affordable luxury downtown gville has yet to provide.

This has quickly become our go to «breakfast date spot» friendly staff, amazing vanilla lattes…(with real vanilla beans) and of course amazing crepes! My husband and I usually always go halfsies on a sweet and savory crêpe… blueberry & the lumberjack… sooooo yummy! Fresh ingredients, friendly service, reasonable prices… what more could you ask for?! Love Tandem!

Excellent spot for breakfast or just a coffee. The blueberry crêpe was delicious. It was very busy when we went but the service was still excellent.

Yep we loved it. I got the Nutella banana crêpe & an Americano. My kiddos had the plain waffle with maple syrup. Love the food & atmosphere. Only thing wrong was my drink was incredibly hot, even after eating took a bit to cool enough to sip. But, all in all excellent.

They are pretty good. Their food is a little bland, but their service and selection are very good. It’s not really a place for a relaxing quiet breakfast. It’s very fast moving, but that doesn’t necessarily make it bad.

Such a neat and cheerful place. The lady at the cash register was such a smiley and wonderful person; even offering some conversion despite a line literally to the door. There is a chalkboard menu, but with a line literally to the door, you’ve plenty of time to study it. I’ve been to brunch places with crêpe options before, but I tend to get overwhelmed. I liked here that there were options /suggested tried and true unique combinations. I chose the crêpe called Potatoes and Sausage. This particular crêpe had a fried egg on top of it and inside obviously potatoes and sausage. There was also kale inside and a rosemary maple syrup drizzled on top. I also got an almond milk vanilla latte which was great with some neat art on top. The longest part of the experience was the line to order. After that our coffee drinks were brought quickly to where we sat ourselves and our crepes didn’t take too long to follow. I’d go back here for certain. I didn’t mind the wait. The atmosphere was so cheerful and the coffee and food very rewarding.

PLEASEGOHERE! I went here before working out(ironic) but I loved every minute of it. It’s amazing. I got the Nutella and banana crêpe and a coffee. To die for! I have tried others too, and they both are amazing. Go here!

This place was fantastic!!! I just moved to the area and this was the first place my sister brought me! The food was great and the customer service was spectacular! The building is so cute inside. It’s a very modern… styled with bright and fresh décor. I have gone a second time since then and it was just as good as the first time! I’m planning on plenty more visits in the future!

Tandem is such a cute little place. Some crepes better than the others and lattes are delicious. I love the vibe in the restaurant but it is quite small and seating is limited. It definitely needs to be bigger.

I’ve been to Tandem several times now. You need to visit too. Located in downtown TR, just a few doors down from Swamp Rabbit Brewery. A small parking lot between it and another building, but there is a small park about a quarter mile down the road if that lot is full, which it probably will be. I’ve never been there without a full house. Despite the high volume of business they do, I have never waited long for my food — 15 minutes max. Their seasonal menu rotates but has a few delicious staples — I love the chocolate and pretzel crêpe. Everything I’ve had there is just delicious. The handcrafted sodas are flavorful and refreshing, I highly recommend the blackberry pomegranate one. They have both sweet and savory crepes. The savory ones are usually enough food to split between two people but I could down a whole sweet one myself(I’m looking at you, key lime pie crêpe!) The food is sublime, and the ambiance is amazing. Lots of yellow throughout, but soft yellow, enough to have stepped right out of Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. Plus the long, high table down the middle brings enough symmetry to make the guy proud. The staff is always cheerful and friendly, and they work very hard. Prices are extremely reasonable for how good the service is and considering the delectable quality of the food. This little creperie is truly a must-visit 5 star experience.

Love this quaint creperie and coffee house for their delicious savory crepes, atmosphere and excellent iced honey lavender latte. Only drawback is that due to its popularity and small location, there is usually a shortage of seating when we go.

It’s true– get here early. The seating is family style and the crepes are sizable(/fantastic). I got the Grazing Goat, and if you like… nay, love goat cheese– get it. I loved it. Also I’m gonna say this– if you get a black coffee, I do recommend drinking the coffee black. Even if you’ve never done it before, try it here. It’s really fantastic coffee, and while I’m sure no one cares if you gussy it up with cream and sugar– just do yourself a favor, and get it black. This place is doing great things; you’ll want to put it on your list. Also, I really adored the décor and service. Super welcoming and warm. Well done, Tandem.

Tandem is such a little gem. Located on Main Street in Traveler’s Rest, it is a wonderful place to stop and get breakfast or lunch on your way to explore the outdoors. On our most recent trip, I had a latte and the Fiesta crêpe. I am usually a sweet crêpe person, but the Fiesta with its cheese, chicken, and beans is good enough to woo me away from the sugar(and that takes a lot). The décor of Tandem is inviting and cozy and the bright yellow mugs are just plain fun. There’s also a patio for warmer days or when you happen to remember your parka in winter.

Delicious sweet and savory crêpes, delicious coffee. A satisfying destination if you need an excuse to cycle down the Swamp Rabbit Trail. I miss the Monte Cristo with its ham and cheese and drizzle of raspberry syrup and powdered sugar, but all things must pass I guess and frankly everything they serve there is delicious. I don’t know, maybe they’ll bring back the Monte Cristo some day. Maybe they already have.

A resident of Travelers Rest, Tandem is a breath of fresh air. Beautiful, clean and instagramable. The staff is incredibly friendly, patient and attentive amidst a busy restaurant and multiple orders. The crepes are hit or miss. I’ve been here probably a dozen times and its 50⁄50 if they are going to come to you hot or not. My suggestion is to go during off-peak time(i.e NOT at 12 on the weekdays and steer clear between 9 – 12 on the weekend. Slam packed and you’ll be lucky if you can get a seat amongst legging-wearing Furman students. My two favorites are the Rusted Root(add an egg!) and the chicken and mushroom. That being said, i’ve found a lot of their other crepes to be a bit bland… just needing a little something extra. I also like their drip coffee but avoid their latte as it is extremely bitter. However, my biggest downside is the cleanliness. On multiple occasions i’ve gone into Tandem to get some work done and sat at the counter. The work area where they are making the crepes was FILTHY. The counter and the floor. Also lots of flies. Not sure that the crepes are worth it to potentially put my health at risk, especially with so many other great restaurants in Greenville.

We came during their rush hour(on the weekend, when tourists were in town for the autumn colors, and a rainy morning so the local college kids didn’t have outdoor distractions). But the wait wasn’t bad considering our bad timing and we managed to snag the last two bar seats at the counter. The wife and I had savory crepes and shared a sweet waffle. She had hot tea to dispel the chill while I tried their handcrafted Raspberry Lime soda. My drink wasn’t very sweet and let the flavors come through and was a nice compliment to my meal. My crêpe was the Sausage Potato with the sausage being a mild variety. The crêpe wasn’t of the thin, delicate European varieties that I’d previously encountered, but a sturdier container(like the child of a pancake marrying a burrito). It’s neutral flavor made it’s texture inconsequential and put the focus on the contents, so I was fine with the variation. We couldn’t withstand the temptation of seeing the waffles going to other patrons, so the friendly employee behind the counter let us order one without having to get back in line. We went with the Apple Pecan special and its mild sweetness was complimented with a light and tender waffle and we left well satisfied. All the employees were very busy and the bus boy was polite, and the cashier had a wonderful smile and attitude that was a pleasure to encounter. While the food was good rather than spectacular, the uniqueness of this small shop is worth a revisit and when I’m back in this area I look forward to exploring their menu.

Something that is quickly becoming my favorite part of the week is brunching. It is so nice to just go out and have a relaxing meal that isn’t on a time table. Tandem is the perfect place for this. Let’s start with location. I love TR. It is such a cute little town, and environmentally friendly. If it wasn’t so far from work I would have looked for a house here. The setup is nice because you order, and take a number. It was well worth the wait for the long line that went all the way to the door. They also have a local bulletin board with all sorts of things to do around the area. Crepes. They were delicious. ‘Nuff said. Their Chai was one of the best I’ve had since moving to the Upstate, and Josh got a handmade soda, pomegranate and blueberry. Get that soda. Oh-ah-my-ah-goodness. It was so tasty.

I love walking into Tandem in the morning. The steam from their waffle iron creates a haze and the morning sun shines through it. It’s like walking into a delicious dream! They make the best latte in Travelers Rest and serve them in happy yellow mugs. I’m obsessed with the lemon crêpe! And recently tried their waffle. It was so light and delicate, it could float of the plate. It did! From my fork to my belly. Deliciousness.

I wish I could just scoop this place up and transport it to Charlotte. What an adorable place with an amazing menu. This creperie avec café is close enough to Greenville and Furman to make it totally worth the drive(or ride up the Swamp Rabbit trail). It’s nice they have a private parking lot. My husband had raved and raved about the blueberry waffle but I went solo and it’s hard to find good crepes so I felt I needed to try some. There was a great savory buckwheat chicken and mushroom crêpe on special along with their regular lemon and sugar crêpe with chantilly crème. Both were tres bon! I had already had coffee so I can’t speak to it but know my husband liked it from previous visits and we have high standards for coffee. The only thing I don’t like about this place? How smoky/greasy it is inside. I had to sit outside because it was so smoky, so I’m hoping they get better venting soon. I was lucky it was a somewhat warm March day when I was there but don’t think I’d be able to eat inside in winter. Will I be back? Certainement! Hopefully soon!
