Great local coffeehouse in the heart of downtown Travelers Rest! It was the first time here for my wife and me. The inside is charming with a fun vibe. I had the Farmhouse Blend coffee and my wife had the English Breakfast tea. Both were great. Glad to see that they have Truvia here too. We took our beverages to go and walked the Swamp Rabbit Trail, which is right behind Leopard Forest. Great place! We will be back!

Favorite coffee shop hands down. come here after school at least once a week. although I do hate the prices. not amazing for someone who’s on a budget. the tea is the bomb though. highly recommend trying the vanilla tea!

Coffee and I have engaged in a relationship that seems to highlight my selflessness! Coffee likes to taunt me… it likes to tempt me and it likes to make an impression. I seem to endure this fluctuating behavior by Coffee with acceptance and patience. It just so happens that Coffee has made its impression on me this time with roses and gems! This was actually our second trip to Leopard Forest and both visits were just as memorably tasty. The coffee is unique, bold(but far from bitter) and their specialties are creative and sweet. My Dirty Black Cat was a tad sweet for me, but not at all disappointing. The staff was friendly, yet limited. The atmosphere was modern and pleasantly diverse(a great of variety of both Macs and PC’s). Best of all, the coffee bar and the preparation area(kitchen) was immaculate! I shed a star for the speed of service. It was not the slowest, but certainly not as expeditious as it should have been for such an accommodating barista! Keep up the good work Leopard Forest, and hit the gas a bit and you’ll have your star by my next visit!

This coffee shop is so relaxing. I love the Farmhouse roast coffee although today I am having hot tea. I bring work and spend time here getting things done with a bagel or something yummy from the menu. It’s a great stop right off the swamp rabbit trail and is clean and comfy. Bring your friends and grab a bag of your favorite coffee to carry home.

This place was a nope to me! But there are good parts! First the customer service was outstanding! Very nice and informative staff! I’m new to the area and looking for a local shop for coffee beans.(That’s all I came in there for.)Second it’s a fun looking shop! I’d go there to hang! However… I sampled a couple of brews they had pre made… and they were disgusting! But with the good customer service they helped me search for a different kind and even made me a fresh shot on the house! It was also disgusting. I added a bit of cream and sugar but still couldn’t drink it. I’m not sure what it is about their coffee but I know it’s not just straight roasted coffee beans. Like there is added oils or flavorings or something because it is not a normal flavored coffee. It’s really weird… My grandma was with me and she too didn’t like it!

This is a really nice place to get some work done. I have been here a couple times, and it’s very airy and clean, with a beautiful wall of windows, and has an absolutely delightful staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the BEC sandwich I got and their coffee options. It’s cute when you get a coffee to stay, you select a mug off their wall and then make your coffee choice around the corner.

The service is a little slow but you can’t beat the quality of coffee at Leopard Forest Coffee. The Coffeehouse was recently purchased by the actual coffee company that supplies the beans for the excellent coffee here. Leopard Forest used to be owned by the actual Coffee company but sold to another owner. They have recently required the café and have made some great changes to the coffee shop! There’s better lighting, new art and it’s just a little more lively these days. One thing is the same: the coffee rocks!

Coffee is smooth and rich with flavor. The staff goes above and beyond. This is a hidden gem. We go out of our way to get a coffee from here. Yeah, it’s that good.

This is a friendly little spot. I really just needed a place to meet a friend during a brief trip to S.C. for a job interview. After the interview, we wanted to meet and head up to Table Rock. I was coming from Columbia and she was coming from Hendersonville, NC. We chose the Forest Coffeehouse. I had a good cup of coffee(used a mug off the wall, which was fun because I got to choose my own mug) and a blueberry muffin. There wasn’t much choice on the pastries, but it was about 2pm, so. .. . The bathroom was roomy and clean. the ambience was casual and comfortable. It looks like a great place to nurse a cup of coffee and read a book or work on the computer, as well as a place to sit with friends for a quiet chat. It’s likely I will be there again if I get the job — meeting my friend for further S.C. exploration.

I like this place but not as much as I used to after they decided to reduce the amount of sitting space(they turned one room into offices). Coffee is good though and the staff are quite friendly.

The newly renovated space is much more comfortable and attractive than the old layout, so kudos for that. While I am a repeat customer, there are a few things that would make going to The Forest a better experience — consistency in drink preparation(the iced coffee has such a wide variance that I hesitate to order it anymore), better customer service training and management presence(some of the baristas are rude or at least not friendly, and speed/attention to detail varies greatly), and better hours. The only other coffee place nearby is 10 miles south and is always packed at night. There are three universities within 15 miles of here, and the coffeehouse is right off the Swamp Rabbit Trail. If they were open late they would always be busy, especially during the school year.

Favorite coffee shop ever! Wonderful selection of coffees(to drink there or purchase a bag). Great to see the support of local artists in the shop too. Had the chicken salad sandwich the last time I was there– it was great!

Good coffee. I like the noodle stir sticks. A very cozy place to spend some time in Travelers Rest. Limited food menu but good for a snack.

I was excited to try it and avoid the commercial coffee shops, but I ordered an iced coffee that was so bitter/burnt that even after dumping loads of milk in it, it was *still* undrinkable. It was disappointing given the high Unilocal rating. Maybe it was just a one-time mistake but still. Also, they only had one type of milk on the counter –it would have been nice to have some choices(skim/one/whole/soy/almond), and I found it atypical for a coffeehouse not to provide these.

The coffee… Got one word: EPIC! Got a Starbucks Macchiato with Pumpkin Spice and got lost in the foam. The coffee is really something special. I would venture to say the best I ever had. Also ordered an omelette and WOW! Did not disappoint! They have breakfast, lunch, and are open late on Tuesdays for open mic. BOOM!

Really, really good coffee and a great atmosphere. I end up getting hot tea a lot because they serve Harney and Sons which I happen to favor. Their coffee comes from their very own plantation in Africa, which is super impressive. I haven’t tried the food but their dessert case is rather tempting and delicious looking. They even have open mic night on Tuesdays. Good place to study, hang with friends or just sit, sip and read a book.

I was visiting the area and I love independent coffee places. I am really compelled to check them out because they are all so unique. This place is fabulous. Large, nicely decorated — feels like a living room. Clean and organized too. I only had a regular brewed coffee but I appreciated the price. I think a 16 ounce was under $ 2. I am a fan and will look forward to stopping in again on my next visit to TR.

Wow! Best caffe breve I’ve ever had and for a good price. The foam was rich and dense– the real deal. I was pleasantly surprised on this on-a-whim coffee stop.
