I just moved up to TC from the Detroit area… it was a long couple days getting settled in, and this place had our back. They provided us with some delicious breakfast and lunch… which was much appreciated as I didn’t have any food in my fridge yet! The food is fresh, ready quickly, and totally reasonably priced. The breakfast tacos were probably my favorite… so VERY tasty and plenty filling to have only one(meaning you only have to spend about $ 3 on your breakfast). I’m glad that I’m only a couple blocks away… I have a feeling that I’m going to be using them again and again. They do get pretty packed, and the parking lot can fill up… but there seems to be enough street parking to accommodate. During the warmer months they have some outdoor seating so you can shove your face as soon as you get your meal. Love this place.

This place is good for going to lunch — it’s mainly take out. I have to say i was disappointed in the catering. We spent $ 139 for 3 dishes. 2 Doz potatoe bites(good but small — $ 40 for this was a rip off) + 2 Doz tomatoe mushroom tooth pic dealios(not very taste and a rip of for $ 40) + 2 doz chicken with peanut sauce — the chicken was rubbery I don’t know how old it was but it wasn’t very good. My biggest beef is the amount of food you get for $ 139. If I spent that much at Applebees or BWW I would have got way more bang for the buck. Lunch there is 4 star — catering is 2.5 star.

My first time in. The staff was very friendly and all had big smiles. I could tell they enjoyed what they did! I ordered the pork burrito and found it was everything that I had hoped for. Even better yet, after making the staff member explain all the different deserts they had at the cashier, I decided to go with the brownie… I had to get another! I have never had such a wonderfully pleasing moment with any desert! The ganache topping had me in heaven! Thank you, for this gem of a place:-)

They have best food! Especially the mash potatoes & gravy and the soups they make each day. Sometimes I’ll get my side dish for dinner from them to save time. Their prices are fair and reasonable. It’s very easy to stop in and carry out.

I’ve had a lot of good lunches from The Kitchen but today’s was amazing! I had one of the specials today…“Chicken Roulade with Ham, Asparagus, and Havarti with a Dijon Cream Sauce” and it was delicious! They are often quite pricey but for what you get it is well-worth it. YUM!

Picked up lunch from here yesterday. I had the Fiesta as a wrap while my co-pilot went with the Fiesta as a salad. Regular size on salad plenty big. A little bit of spice from the salsa, but not really any heat(which I enjoyed). Delicious. They don’t sell any Coke/Pepsi products; most of their beverages are local although I saw Red Bull and Perrier in the cooler. A tad off the beaten path. Would order from there again.

My go-to lunch spot in Traverse City. I travel in quite a bit for work and The Kitchen is both quick and delicious. My favorite is the Roasted Turkey Club sandwich. I usually ask for it toasted and with a bit of sriracha on it. YUM. My coworkers rave about their salads and soups. You honestly can’t go wrong.

I love this place! Take-out is the way to go as seating is limited. Check their Facebook page for their daily specials. I have enjoyed each meal I’ve tried from The Kitchen. Great flavors and friendly staff.

Breakfast tacos are amazing and affordable. Soups are excellent and sometimes non-traditional, like«eggplant parmesan,» which I loved. They offer a wide variety of food for all meals of the day, some made to order, some in the deli case, ready to go. The dessert bars are some of my favorite treats. You can pick up dips for parties, pot lucks or just a family movie night. Nice drink variety too, fountain drinks from the local«Northwoods» soda company or bottled teas and/or juices. Although they have a tall, long and thin table for eating in, it is smack in the middle of the place and not really conducive to sharing your lunch with one or more friends in the middle of all the hub bub. If they had a place to sit comfortably, I’d give them five stars. Service is usually pretty good and orders are filled quickly. A great place to grab good food to go for any meal of the day.

The salted focaccia that my half sandwich was served on was mighty tasty. The amount of mayo on the bread was not offensive, it was only slight. The other ingredients tasted fresh, turkey, lettuce, tomato. I had a cup of soup, tomato artichoke. I love artichokes so this was happy. I also had some tea to drink. Eating in area is small, so to go is a better option. Good food, reasonable prices.

Picked up my car from service and was cutting through to Woodmere when my stomach told me it was lunchtime. Just so happened The Kitchen was in my path. I’ve been admiring their cool sign and building for a while now, just hadn’t had an opportunity to stop in. Boy am I glad I did! Vast selection of freshly prepared items — soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, even tasty looking tacos. They also serve breakfast until 10:30. Everything is to-go, though they do have some seating inside and picnic tables outside. I tried their Tex Mex Cesar Wrap which was delicious, and enormous. Very reasonably priced too — you can get a great lunch for well under 10 bucks. And to me it’s definitely worth the 5min drive from my office downtown!
