We had a great day here. The pool at our hotel was being repaired so we wanted someplace to go for the day that had waitress service. We rented a cabana on the beach here for the day. You just have to spend $ 200 on food and drink(we spent the leftover $ on tshirts). A cooler of cold water bottles is included. This was very reasonable split between two couples. We parked in their lot right next to our cabana for $ 5, super easy. The cabana had a big sectional inside with tables and a roped off beach area for lounge chairs. Our waitress Ashley was very attentive. She gave me her phone number so we could text her our drink and food orders throughout the day. It worked out great for all of us. The food wasnt spectacular but it was pretty good. We had a beautiful day and would definatly do this again. Call ahead to reserve so its all ready when you show up.

My friend and I came to St. Petes for three days from NYC. We loved this place so much that we came there on both our nights. We watched the sunset from there since the bar is located on the sunset beach. I recommend the cocktail Caddy’s Sunset, it was one of the best I’ve had! The atmosphere is amazing, the live music is great and the staff are so so friendly– Andrea you’re the best!!! This bar could be the reason why I’ll be probably going back to St. Petes again.

Breakfast was wonderful! $ 24.00 for 2 with top of the mornin and fleet wood of letters. Both had toast and terrific home fries, & coffee. Michelle, waitress, is there and the time we spent could not have been better. FYI tee shirts were $ 12 with Caddy’s logo on back. can’t b beat!

Great food, great music, great drinks and amazing staff! I sat at the bar the whole night and chatted it up with the bartender. She made some great drinks and didn’t mind that I wanted to omit dark rum for more coconut rum. I had a half pound of shrimp, and they were delicious. It was nice to see the bartender cleaning the bar area so meticulously. They had a guy there playing live music and was great. I would definitely return.

I was here for the first time recently. I was here after dark. I am a local. The service was OK not fantastic. We ordered three drinks, 2 shots, dessert and fries. Our bill was $ 39 plus tip. Prices were decent. Food was low quality but edible. The drinks were good. My only complaint is that the bartender made the wrong drink for my friend but it was still good so we drank it anyways. We didn’t go outside but it appears to have a perfect location on the beach. I think location is key with this place. They also have a spot for a band which would be cool. The place could use a good cleaning. I’ll probably be back.

Well, Let’s start with this, This is one of the places where you can sip Margarita while playing with the sand on the beach. Yes, you got it right… here you can consume alcohol on the beach… which for me was a nice experience. The beach is good with white sand. The water though is not clear, still it is good for a skinny dip. Beach chairs are available free of cost, all you have to do is tip the guys who help setup the chairs and umbrellas for you. Parking again, is a bit of a problem as Caddy’s has limited parking. Talking about the bar, you have all the options here from margaritas to cocktails to beer to mocktails. Snacks and food are not bad either. The good thing is it has live music which makes the evening cool. Service was a bit on the low, be ready to wait before someone comes up to take your order. But, again I was at this place on the 1st day of the new year when it was bound to be crowded. The entire experience was a good and memorable one. I am sure everyone will have fun at this place.

I love it here! It doesn’t matter what season you come here on, the sunsets are always going to be beautiful. As dangerous as it sounds, I’ve been here during some beautiful thunderstorms also admiring the stormy(with lightning) versus clear contrasts in the sky. This is located on the only stretch of beach in the treasure Island area where you can bring your drinks out into the sand and even the water. I believe this borders Sunset Beach and Treasure Island Beach. It’s always a pleasure coming here whether it’s to relax on the beach, eat/drink at the restaurant, or hang out at the roof top deck for an amazing vantage point of treasure Island Beach. I’ve taken so many gorgeous pictures here in the past. The quality of the food is surprisingly great. It actually matches that of a higher-quality restaurant as opposed to many beach bars that I’ve been to. I was surprised by how good the ribs were. The drinks(Served from their full bars on either the first or second floor) are always good here too. In the summertime, parking gets really packed very fast so it’s always good to get here as early as you can for a decent spot. They have the second parking lot down and across the street for overflow off of Gulf Boulevard. During peak seasons of the year, there are always people in the water enjoying various water sports/activities. This place makes for great people watching definitely.

You can’t beat the location! Parking is limited, service is friendly but slow, food is decent, but the sand, water, and the beach vibe make everything better. Live music helps, too. You don’t come here for fast service or a top notch meal. You come to relax and hang out by the beach. It’s literally steps away. To be safe, I’d order sandwiches and typical bar fare aka fried foods, and order beer or the frozen drinks. I had a pina coloda with an extra shot and it was perfect. Parking lot is tended by friendly valet who will assist you in both locating or waiting for a spot, or you can drive past the restaurant if you don’t want to wait and look for a lot nearby for free and walk a block or two. Seats inside and out are first come first serve. Grab a table and have enjoy the day.

Good drinks, good food(lots of fried stuff, but try the shrimp galore), and great view. We sat on the top deck and stayed there most of the evening. There was a live band and even bagpipe players who played briefly. Lively and fun atmosphere. Prices were a little high, but hey, we are on vacation. We plan on going back again tonight.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees. Being a 48 year resident of PINELLAS County, it has always been a tradition to stop by Caddy’s for lunch when visiting south county, so I was shocked to learn that the new«ownership» is now charging a $ 5 non refundable fee to park in their lot to eat lunch. There were 7 of us, & I did complain to the management. They also«upgraded«their menu with new prices and now charge an additional $ 2 if you want slaw or fries with your sandwich. The food was nothing special & our Caddy’s tradition has ended.

Great view while you eat– we got to see dolphins and look out at the beach! Staff is friendly. Food is pretty good, however I’d avoid the fruit cup as it didn’t seem fresh. I got a single pecan pancake with fruit cup. The pancake was good and fluffy and has a good amount of pecans and also icing. My hubby ordered the son of a beach burrito, he liked it except did not enjoy the hollandaise sauce which I know is hard to keep«fresh» so maybe ask for the burrito without the hollandaise on top.

Tourist review alert! My group showed up the evening we arrived in Florida and were ready for some drinks. We are bottled beer kind of people, so I can’t say much for the pours. The atmosphere was very casual, the place was packed with people of all ages. We were able to snag a seat out near the band. The service was very slow getting to us, it seemed our server was giving priority to the locals, which is understandable, but it got to the point that we just ordered our drinks directly from the bar. The food was mediocre bar food. Salty, not fresh, but edible. The concept of a band in this location is great, but the actual act was pretty bad. We didn’t end up staying long. I could imagine this being a prime spot for an afternoon stop to chill on the beach with a few drinks. Maybe next time…

Caddy’s is one of my favorite restaurants, period. Very casual, with good food & drinks… and its ONTHEBEACH! Sunset Beach has been one of my favorite beaches in Pinellas Co. since the late ‘80s because its not terribly crowded or touristy(avoid college spring break weeks), and the sand is just as pristine & soft as the rest of the Gulf beaches. So if the weather is nice, I sit at one of the picnic tables in the sand — the servers work that area, too! There’s also a roof deck for drinks with the girls, plus a fabulous sunset view. Downstairs usually has music or live entertainment, with room to dance, although it can be a bit loud. The food isn’t fancy, but always good… with large portions & decent prices. Parking was always a pain when they’re busy, and they now charge for it without providing a food voucher — still worth the visit.

Being a Florida resident year round begs the responsibility of finding a great spot to enjoy the outdoors at a beach setting for not only you by for your friends and visitors. I believe that Caddy’s On the Beach encompasses everything a beach bar can offer. It’s a great spot to bring visitors or hang out at with friends. The resturant area serves up good beachy/seafood type fare and their tropical drinks are truly delightful. With live music on most days and a live band or DJ on the weekend, Caddy’s is sure to come through with the entertainment value. You’ll find mellow people from all walks of life come here to enjoy the Gulf coast and get a coastal experience amplified by the comforts of a beach bar and restaurant. It is very helpful that when enjoying some rays and the surf that when you get hungry, Caddy’s is a short walk. I have samples items from their appetizers and sandwiches and seafood entrees and everything has been tasty. The staff is usually good and the bartenders are hard at work mixing and slinging drinks diligently. You can sit at the bar area and the high tops or outside the covered patio there are picnic tables to order food. There also is an upstairs patio and bar. The inside of the restaurant is a little more formal and less bustling with beach goers, I find many of them are there for the food and atmosphere, not the beach. The restaurant also sells t-shirts featuring the restaurant and some bright colors, as well as other memorabilia. Most recently Caddy’s has been acquired by new ownership. Although the majority of the friendly and helpful staff seem to have been retained there are some changes that I didn’t like. What is disheartening to my friends and I that would attend regularly is that they stopped giving $ 5 vouchers for food, which is the amount that you pay, for self-parking in their lot adjacent(to the right) of the restaurant since new ownership. There is also valet parking available as well as a parking lot that charges $ 10 across from 7 Eleven at the main intersection of Gulf Blvd. where you make the turn for Caddy’s(I’m embarrassed to say I don’t know the name). The parking attendant is very friendly there. All in all an afternoon spent at Caddy’s is an experience that most would like if you are into the beach scene. I hope that you check it out and enjoy.

If you want a real beach bar, Caddy’s is where it’s at! I have been coming to Caddy’s for years and will continue to come back. I’ve been to most of the beach bars along St Pete Beach, but this one is my bar of choice. You are not permitted to bring your own cooler/beverages, but I’ve never been approached for bringing my own non-alcoholic beverages or snacks. I will admit, I jumped on the bandwagon after the first Magic Mike premiered. But I had heard about it from friends long before that. I fell in love and have been spreading the word ever since(I have a lot to share!). 1) THEBEACH. It was expanded recently to make space for more beach. From what I’ve noticed, there are more obvious sand bars that form which are great for hanging out away from shore. The sand is powder white and the water is normally crystal clear. You’ll see dolphins and find great shells on this beach. You are allowed to take your drinks into the water with you. Caddy’s offers complimentary beach chairs, small tables and umbrellas(be sure to tip because the beach staff is amazing!). Near the restaurant, there are picnic tables that are full service. You can literally eat your meal with your toes in the sand. 2) THEFOOD. I am always afraid to try new food at Caddy’s. It is typical bar food and can be hit or miss. I’ve never had a bad experience with the wings(10 for $ 9) or the chicken bites(1/s lb. for $ 8). Can’t go wrong with fried stuff like mozzarella stick or cheese fries. The sandwiches are not very big and do not come with sides. The seafood chowder is much loved by my friends, and it is recommended to get the bowl instead of the cup! Kids menu also available. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. 3) THEDRINKS. I cannot find a better rum runner elsewhere. Caddy’s rum runner will CHANGEYOURLIFE. It is strong and ridiculously delicious, priced at $ 7.50. Totally worth it. Two of these will be enough to get you to go swimming in the gulf in January! If you are lucky enough to have Amanda make you one, you have hit gold. They also have many tropical drinks priced around $ 8 and beer specials(such as Rolling Rock tallboys for $ 3 and Coronas for $ 4). 4) THESTAFF. I absolutely love the service staff at Caddy’s. Wonderful people with great attitudes. As mentioned before, Amanda is the best bartender I have ever come across. She makes drinks like you want them and remembers the regulars. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient as I have never had an order botched. Even the parking attendants are great! 5) THEPARKING. Okay, so the parking kind of sucks right now. They have a small lot on the property which costs $ 5 but it is always full. Valet is also $ 5 but is also full during the busy season. You can park down the street across from 7 – 11 which now costs $ 10. Caddy’s lot and the lot near 7 – 11 were both previously owned by Caddy’s and gave you a voucher for food/drinks. This is now a thing of the past, but I hope they bring it back. It has now become more costly to park at Caddy’s than other St Pete Beach locations. Although Caddy’s was recently purchased by the same people who own MacDinton’s in South Tampa, they have kept the same staff(including the NICEST bathroom attendant in the entire world). The live music is always awesome and the décor has not changed. They’ve added portable air conditioned bathrooms on the side of the building and a new outdoor shower. If you are looking for a hell of a beach bar experience and a relaxing beach day, I recommend Caddy’s!

A lot of people will say that the sunset is worth the view, and it is. As far as the food goes– the pasta salad was half lettuce– I wish there was a little more pasta salad but it was just a side. The blackened shrimp that I had on top– now that was good! I will say that our service was attentive and quick! It’s Treasure Island/Sunset Beach, so I should have known to bring cash. Well I didn’t! Luckily the attendant was nice to let me park and use their ATM inside the restaurant. Perhaps I was underwhelmed, and the drive was a little far. And I am still trying to locate that pink Cadillac! Next time I’m in the hood, I can update my review maybe?
