Clean bed and bathroom, best price in the area during the peak season in Bar Harbor. Extremely friendly staff, especially the owner, who was a delightful person. We were planning to stay here for only one night but ended up staying an extra because the cost couldn’t be beat. Overall a great experience for the money.

Wonderful, charming retro rooms totally worth the price. My boyfriend and I stayed in a cottage for the weekend and it was simple but clean. Motel owners were friendly and accommodating when we asked for an alarm clock, and their dogs are a joy. Would definitely recommend this roadside hideaway for the price, proximity to the national park, and well kept rooms.

BEDBUGS! ! Both beds infested. Moved to another room but this is just not worth it. I know bedbugs are common nowadays but this is my first encounter with these bloodsuckers.Gross.

Place is a dump. Rooms paint was peeling off the ceiling right above the bed. Spider webs all over the room/floor. Looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in years. Bed was about as close to sleeping on a piece of plywood as a mattress can get. Bathroom sink dripped all night making noise not to mention I thought my foot was going to go through the floor when I stepped in the bathroom. Road noise is ridiculous as large trucks drive by at all hours of the night. Then you ask for a refund and they charge you $ 25 for a $ 55 room and it has to been done in person. I wouldn’t recommend to the homeless it’s more comfortable on the street.

The price is right at this motel for sure! 70 bucks a night for a 2bedroom cabin not bad. Paying so little for the motel made me real scared that it would be a shithole but it really wasn’t bad at all. I would go back if need be. The guy in the office seemed nice and friendly.

I would not stay here again if i could avoid it. But this was the least expensive place I could find in the area… which was significantly less than the other hotels. The bed had a plastic cover under the sheet that crinkled, this was my first experience with a motel that did not provide some sort of shampoo (though not my last, it turns out). The wall heater worked but all the windows in the cabin room were open when I arrived late at night so It was freezing as I got into the room. and the carpet was really dirty. this looks like a place you might go when you’re snowshoeing or cross country skiing in the winter.
The staff was friendly, and I wasn’t murdered, so that’s a plus I guess.
