5 star dumplings! I work at a restaurant near by and sometimes in the 15 minutes before work when I’m craving a quick bite this is my prefered choice over the taco bell and burger king in the area. $ 4.25 for about 6 – 8 great quality dumplings that are practically a meal by themselves. However more than a couple times, Ive had to call my job just across the parking lot to say Im going to be a few minutes late cuz Im still waiting for the take out I called ahead for. They quote 5 minutes but Ive had to spend the 15 minutes meant to eat my food, to wait for my food. Hence the 4 stars. Im sure if I wasn’t in a rush their take out would be superb.

Not my choice in visiting, but sometimes you have to go where the other person chooses. Buffet lunch for $ 8, less if you are a senior(as many people who go here are) Skip the so called«sushi» unless you’ve always wondered what sushi is(and if that is the case, still skip it) Do try the sweet buns. So many options, but only a few worthy of seconds. Try not to eat too much. Very clean but bland dinning area, and attentive staff. Rating heavily based on cost to fullness ratio.

It’s is difficult and perhaps unfair to grade a low budget Chinese buffet like this one with other restaurants that provide sit down service and attempt to build some rapport with their customers. Such places really require a separate category, because in some ways it is more like a take out experience disguised as eat in. After all, you go to pick out your food and deliver it to your table without any assistance from the miniscule staff. While I normally avoid buffets because I prefer quality over quantity, there are moment of extreme famishment when the idea of loading a plate full of a variety of taste alternatives spread across hot steam tables is very appealing. The other day when I had not had breakfast, and it was after 2 pm was one such occasion. If you asked me to tell you what I shoveled onto my plate, I would have a hard time. There were chicken dishes, veggies in a variety of sauces, egg foo young, fried rice, dumplings, and soups. They ranged from awful(Egg Roll) to acceptable(General Tso;s), to almost decent(Black Pepper Chicken), to ridiculous(4 colors of Jello), to what is this doing here?(Soft Serve Ice Cream?). I left full enough to skip dinner, and paid less that $ 9 with a pot of hot tea. I think I’ve satisfied my buffet lust for another year.

* China Buffet appeared closed for business on 10÷13÷15 * Don’t go to the China Buffet with the hope of being impressed. Compared to other Chinese buffets, I’d give them a 5(maybe) out of 10 But if you’re hungry and don’t want to wait for food, all while keeping your lunch tab under $ 10 and your expectations low, this might be a place to consider. The food, service and décor are all just ok, though bathrooms are dingy. You’ll probably get just what you pay for here.

Quantity vs quality. You get a lot of food for really cheap… Don’t expect it to be good quality food. But for $ 6.50 for lunch you can’t complain.
