Amazing pizza! And I must say I love their chicken noodle soup… all fresh ingredients. With so many options in Hamilton to pick, Joeys is by far one of the best in the area.

If I could I’ll give no star for service. We ordered our food ahead of time(lunch time pressed for time) and ate it there. The cashier(skinny tall white guy with glasses) kept looking our way and really made it really uncomfortable. When we where leaving I asked for a garbage can he pointed at it, said no word(rude). I told him the salad was good which BTW was really not all that(tuna). Again, said nothing(rude). My coworker also told him thank you. To our surprise he said nothing(rude yet again!) We’ll never go there again! There’s a reason why the place is so dark and empty. If you want great food and friendly service go to Brother’s Pizza across from Kmart

Stopped here for the first time a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend. We were both very pleased with the pizza. Excellent crust, which is so important! My boyfriend has dietary restrictions and can’t eat tomatoes/sauce or any seeds at all, so we ordered a white pie with meatballs and black olives, and enjoyed it very much. I thought the olives tasted a little tiny bit too much like the aluminum can they likely came in, but it wasn’t offensive… and, admittedly, I’m an olive snob(that sounds terrible. I’m sorry!). But the meatballs were flavorful, and the pizza was seasoned perfectly. Service was good, even for a Saturday — we ate in. We’ll definitely be back. I may stop by for lunch and try a more typical slice, to get a sense of the sauce.

Decided to try Joey’s last weekend on a whim as we were looking for a local place to get a good pizza. We chose Joey’s and were so glad we did! Ordered a large plain pie(to keep things simple) and it was out of this world. I believe it now when some other reviewers say this pie rivals DeLo’s. The sauce had a great taste(usually the make or break for a pizza) and the cheese was perfectly melted. The sauce and cheese are combined in a great spiral style that really gives you a good balance of flavor with every bite. We’ll be back!

Been going to Joey’s every week. Love their pizza and salad. Service is excellent as well.

Ordered two large pies for delivery and the crust on both pies were thick undercooked and soggy in the middle. Not sure who is writing these reviews but this pizza is terrible! I called to let them know and they apologized but offered no resolution. By far, the worst pizza I have ordered in hamilton.

First return to Joey’s review page since I wrote the first one. I’m glad to see that others enjoy their pie as much as I do. Spread the word!

Had Joey’s for the first time today after seeing so many positive reviews here and elsewhere. First, it’s a good pizza and you can’t go wrong. I do like that they have a smaller, personal pie. Everyone I encountered was very friendly. For me, I rate Papa’s(Robbinsville) first, DeLorenzo’s(Hamilton) second and Joey’s third.

Just ok… had a mushroom and sausage slice. Again, nothing spectacular about the pizza.

Nice clean place, courteous employees. And pizza the way I like, thin crust delicious. The only downfall I don’t see much selections of pizza ready to go.

They make a really good pie here. The taste is unique and dough is airy and cooked just right. Order a pie fresh n you can’t go wrong

Joey’s looks like your typical pizza shop located in a small strip mall. It may look typical but the pizza is phenomenal. It is by far the best pizza I have ever had. I put it above Lorenzo’s. THISIS A MUSTTRYFORPIZZALOVERS!

This is strictly a pizza by the slice for lunch review. Joey’s is difficult to find. It sits in a micro strip center that is perpendicular to the road, so unless you can read small signs fast as you drive, you are likely to miss it like I did the first time I tried to go there. Look for the KFC next door and the Subway resto closest to the street for landmarks. Joey’s opens at 2:30 pm during the week, so a late lunch is essential to be able to try their goods. Walking in, you see only the pizza ovens to the right and the cash register ahead. The dining area is to the left. It is a nice size and has simple, utilitarian furnishings. A small HDTV sits on the far back wall. The cashier worked as the server while I was there. All these details quickly get lost once the pizza arrives. I ordered a slice of Regular and one of Italian Sweet Sausage. I asked for them to be very hot, as a warmed-over pizza is really not giving you exposure to pizza at its apex. Picking up each slice, their points held rigidly without hint of bending. The First Bite was exquisitely crunchy, bringing a smile to my face. The sauce was thick and mildly sweet, with a hint of basil and garlic. Excellent mix. The mozza was adequately placed around the wedges, but not so much as to overwhelm the other flavors, nor weight them down. The Sausage was locally sourced and had a wonderful fennel taste. It really stood out. Although my favorite local pizza is still DeLorenzo’s, Joey’s is a very close second, and as DeLo’s does not sell by the slice, for lunch or a solo meal, Joey’s is really the only game in town. My search for the best pizza for lunch may be over. Joey’s is outstanding!

This is, hands down, the best pizza spot in central NJ. We will definitely be ordering our pizza from here on Friday nights.

I have to agree with John D. This stuff is crazy. i tried 6 or 7 different pies and they all are as addictive as porn.. But the Brooklyn is the square with a thinner crust than Sicilian and that is my favorite. I tried some diners and they were also good but not quite enough food for the money.. And i know the better food cost more but i think they can do a little better. Then again it was delivered.. Perhaps eating in is better.. Never tried yet. You have to try at least one of their pies. You’ll never know until you do.

The old fashioned pie is to die for. Having lived in the area for several years now, I have tried several pizza places, but always regret my decision and go back to joeys. I’d have to say my second fave is delorenzos but seriously it’s not even a close second.

OMG!!! Joeys pizza should be classified as an illegal controlled substance, because I swear someone is sprinkling crack in the sauce!!! Best pizza hands down in the area, in NJ for that matter… I live near fort Dix and I would happily drive the 45 minutes or so to grab a pie. It stacks right up there with the two Delorenzos, it has a perfect crisp and chewy crust, oh so lightly sweet n savory sauce and the perfect melt in your mouth chesse!!! I couldn’t even make it home without devouring two slices while driving, so sorry if I cut you off! You have to give them a try, it’s one of those holes in the wall that will blow your socks off! A diamond in the rough… I usually only review if food and service is horrible, but I had to make an exception for Joeys, service was friendly and fast, and pizza was amazing!!!

This place is hands down the best ! Came to the east coast to see some friends. I told them take me to a place that makes a good pie. All I can say is this place is amazing, I think god is in the kitchen making the pizza. Cant wait to go back this summer.

I am still looking for the pizza to trump my favorite«tomato pie» from Joey’s. Originally a Maruca’s this is, IMO, the best pizza in the World. DeLorenzo’s is a close second as are some other spots in NYC, but for my money I go with Joey’s. The sauce is the perfect sweetness. The cheese is the perfect blend for taste and texture with the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. And the crust is thin and crispy but yet with some doughiness for texture. Salivating as I type.

I’ve been coming for years. Best is the half sausage half mushroom pie. The secret cheddar and mozzarella cheese is perfect. Limited drinks.
