I was raised in the food Frm sub Maria’s it is the best hoagie spot we had in Bromley but… originally it was called Kelveys… when the sold it some recipes changed like the seafood salad. It no longer has shrimp it it. Which really bothers me that they changed the menu item. So I won’t give them more than a 3…

My ALLTIMEFAVORITE sub shop! I live conveniently not far from Sub Maria’s(formerly Kelvies) so I have spent a lot of time walking back and forth as a kid and digging up spare change for a half sub and cheese fries… Incredibly underrated and incredibly unknown, Sub Maria’s offers a variety of subs and salads at great prices. The outside isn’t flashy and the parking lot fits 4 cars(maybe) but their staff are great and friendly and their subs are filled and DELICIOUS! I love a great sub and I have had many many subs around the area that do not come close to what Sub Maria’s does. They’re always fresh and bursting with cold cuts, their lettuce and onions are shredded cut(my favorite) and the bread… the BREAD is soft and fresh and big! the pieces are huge and they have to be to fit all the meat! I cannot express the love I have for this corner store institution.

Don’t judge book by its cover. If your in the area, although it’s not in main drag, and want a great choice of very well made hoagies, stop in this place. Young guy that runs the counter, it feels like a family joint, is remarkably courteous and polite. Not what you expect… But you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Good sandwiches and salads(although they are a bit skimpy on the meat for the salads). Order the«half» sub because that is about 6 – 8 inches(unless you want a 12+ inch sandwich). The food is cheap and of decent quality, and they deliver.
