Faulkner Mazda

I bought my first financed vehicle through Faulkner Mazda, a 2003 Protoge. I loved that car. I also really liked the gentleman that I dealt with (mind you, this was going on 4 years ago.) At that time, I had a wonderful buying experience and while I was only 20 at the time, they still got an approval for me despite being so young and limited with my credit. Not a problem. Its a shame, I was told he was no longer with them the second time I went there.
The second time I purchased a Mazda 3, and it was in excellent condition. What I didn’t do was my homework before I went, which I admit was my own fault. The thing that made me review this place at 2 stars is because the person I dealt with at that time was very disingenuous, they were all about the sale. I was so far underwater on this car for a long time before I fixed the problem. They also did not mention to tell me how much they were financing me for, how much they were accepting my trade in for, and a simple «are you sure?» Would have really helped. Granted I learned from that mistake, but it’s insane how uncaring and unsympathetic these people are.
If you’re going to get your vehicle serviced at the dealer, take it somewhere else. Take it to your local mechanic, someone you trust or have been going to for a couple of years. They charge you an arm and a leg to fix things. I fixed my own headlight, and I was told it would have been upwards of $ 100 to do so when all I had to do was replace the bulb. I was advised not to do that either, because it would have cost me around $ 800 to replace the whole headlight if I broke it, which I find to be a bunch of crap. Well jokes on them, I replaced the bulb anyway and my headlight was fine. Be VERY careful with the staff here. Go over everything; your rate, how much they’re giving you for an old car, make sure that everything looks good before you sign anything. Don’t do what I did, and don’t let them swindle you out of thousands. Also, make sure you know something NEEDS to be fixed on your vehicle before taking it to get serviced, because they will try to sell you on something you don’t need.

Sales was excellent. I had a great experience buying the car. As for dropping it off for my first service– I was not impressed. The staff wasn’t friendly and I was promised a car wash and it wasn’t washed when I picked it up. I am not from around there so it was a bummer. But I ended up washing and waxing myself :)

Felt like the only client they had to take care of from the first call I made to report an issue with my two year old CX5. Mike Ceasar was my service rep and the experience was phenomenal, there was no wait for an appointment to be made, they made an accurate assessment of how long it would take to pinpoint the issue and within 15 minutes of my arrival I was already being picked up by Enterprise to use a car to run my errands for the day. LOVED! the fact that I got an update on the status of my vehicle each step of the way. Needles to say the issue was fixed and has remained that way so far, this has been a very pleasant experience and customer service has been superb. Well done Faulkner Mazda!

Had a seamless and easy car buying experience getting my cx5 last week. James Justi was great– super helpful and really accessible for any and all of my questions (I could just text him and get a response almost instantly). I expected a drawn out, lengthy buying experience but was able to get an awesome deal on an awesome vehicle in just a few days. Faulkner also has a lot of great perks like free car washes and some service coverage so I’d definitely recommend!

Terrible experience at Faulkner Mazda buying 23 yo nephew’s 1^st car. Will never buy anything from any Faulkner dealer after what happened there. Went to Sussman Mazda and bought same car for less with better interest rate. How did he qualify for different interest rate from 2 different dealers within a couple days when nothing had changed? Cars were exactly same. Faulkner’s reputation is going down the drain. Avoid them at all costs.

Leased a CX-​5 from them last week. Worked with Dave Fasoline, who was very pleasant to work with. They’re aware that there’s a ton of information on the internet and customers are well-​informed, so they didn’t waste my time. We negotiated for a reasonable amount of time, and both sides left the table pretty happy. I’d definitely recommend going to them if you’re looking for a Mazda.

Had a great experience with Dave Fasoline buying a new Mazda 5. He really went above and beyond and we are very happy with the new car.

My family has purchased several cars from this dealership and we’ve always been extremely happy with the experience. The service department is excellent and everyone who works there treats you with courtesy.

I purchased my 9 year old Mazda Tribute in Delaware from Martin Mazda so when I moved back to Philly I was hoping I would receive the same AWESOME customer service and «I DID»
Faulkner Mazda service department is GREAT and also the cashiers.
I can’t say anything bad at all they all are pleasant friendly and they explain very well what’s the solution to the problems… My visit last week proved just how awesome they truly are I needed to use my extended warranty I purchased (not thru Mazda) and the patience that Paul (I think that’s his name) had with the warranty company was excellent!!!

Reviewing for the service department, I haven’t had any experience with sales.
I’ve had several repairs performed to my 10 year old Mazda 3 here.
Shout-​out to Mike Caesar: My most recent problem was difficult to diagnose and the work began with an expensive repair that did not fix my check engine light problem. When I called to say the light had come back on after a couple days and I was frustrated to have paid $ 800 and not have the problem fixed, Mike was very patient. He took my car back immediately, gave me a loaner, and started from the beginning. In the end they reinstalled the new part they had replaced previously just to make sure it was done right and replaced a couple small parts to make sure they weren’t causing the problem. They kept the car for a couple days and drove it a good distance to make sure the light would not come back on. Meanwhile, I got to drive a brand new Mazda 3. There was no additional charge when I picked my car up the second time, even with the new replacement parts. I was fully expecting the follow up visit to cost me more, but Mike made sure I felt I received what I paid for the first time.
Ain’t no dealer visit cheap, so I only go when I can’t fix something myself and I want someone who knows my car better than the average mechanic. But when you need a dealer’s expertise servicing your Mazda, go here. I live very close to Sussman but, in my experience, the service staff at Faulkner is worth the trip. My buddy with a Miata and a Mazda 6 thinks so, too.

Purchased my 2016 CX-​5 GT AWD there about 3 weeks ago. From the beginning, Dave Fasoline was incredibly helpful. He communicated with me well, gave me various options, etc.
Now, for the meat and potatoes, the deal I received, I believe, was a good deal. I called various dealerships in the area and Dave at Faulkner provided me the best deal, both on the car and on my trade.
Beyond that, Dave is incredibly professional and the dealership offers a good experience that beats their rivals in the local area.

Bought a 2010 CX7 a couple years ago there.
–Yesterday had tires replaced (very rare expensive tires that only fit this model)
— Rear tire still had greater than 60% tread left. (Worth about $ 350)
— I asked to keep them for future if needbe.
— They said i cant have them back.
— They said they had to drill the tires to remove them to prevent damaging pressure sensor.
— I spoke with 4 separate Mazda dealer service managers. They all said they never heard of doing this.
— I called and spoke with Harry Faulkner about the situation and he offered me a free wheel alignment ($ 69 value).
I am very disappointed that i took my car here.

I bought my first brand new car here, a 2010 Mazda 3. Every single person that works there is super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are also very honest as far as what extras are appropriate to buy and which ones aren’t for each particular customer. Price was great. The extended warranty paid for itself already.
I go back for all of my routine maintenance and am always happy with the outcome. A great place to buy new or used cars.

We bought a CX-​9 here and Jose (I think that he’s working as a missionary now) was great. Usually, I get glares from car salesmen because I come in with the invoice, market, and MSRP prices all ready, but the team here was great about negotiating the price and trade-​in. We drove away in our new car in less than an hour, and the price was at least $ 1500 lower than what John Kennedy offered. Sorry but when you’re getting a new car, the only thing that sets a dealer apart is the trade-​in value and final price (ideally, nothing more than $ 500 – 700 above invoice). Buying a car can be quite an arduous journey but this transaction was fast, productive, and cost-​efficient. I can’t ask for more. I’ll definitely be back should I decide on a Mazda in July.
Also, their service department is friendly and quite efficient.

Zoom Zoom… thats how fast customer service is at Faulkner Mazda. Every time I call they can take my car anytime I wish, even right away. There is no hassle, and they do excellent work. My car needs to be inspected in December, and since this is a busy time, it is awesome to just be able to drop it off, get some service and get a new sticker. They do charge dealer prices, but for convenience, its worth it.
Also, I bought my car at Faulkner Mazda and though it sounds like an oxymoron, it was a pleasure. No pressure sales tactics, just the skinny on what they can do to get into one of their vehicles. I have recommended them to family, and now their is a whole fleet of Mazdas at family functions.

Customer service at Faulkner Mazda is amazing. They are so nice and they really try to help as best they can to get you what you’re looking for. Purchasing my car was a pleasant experience. Since then I’ve been taking my car up for oil changes and regular maintenance and even that has been pretty pleasant. The maintenance sometimes is pricier than other places but I like the security. I just know they’ll do a good job and I won’t have any problems anywhere else. I bought my tires elsewhere because of the significant difference in price but everything else I’ve done at Mazda. The wait for an oil change is pretty long (about two hours) but they do an all around check of the car as well. They advise you of anything they find before replacing it and they tell you if you really need new breaks or tires or if you’ll be ok until your next visit. So basically you are prepared on your next visit.
They do send frequent advertisements through email and regular mail so that you could check out the new cars. I just ignore them but its sometimes tempting and I start thinking about upgrading. Then I remember that I just cant afford it! haha. I can imagine there are people out there that do fall for the temptation. Not me!
