Booked this hotel through
Express Deals. It claimed to be a 2 star in the same class as La Quinta, Comfort Inn, etc. This place is a DUMP! They have a sign claiming to have renovated rooms. Maybe because they have flat screen TVs. Everything else is old old old, from the saggy old mattress, ugly wallpaper, green carpet, wood paneling and thrift store reject dresser and desk. The room smells like mildew, stale smoke and sadness. I only stopped here to sleep, but I doubt that’s going to happen. On the upside, I didn’t see bed bugs. Ick.

I stopped here recently on a trip to southern Colorado and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and coziness of this motel. The décor was pale blue and brown and the room was large. I especially liked the homey lobby with large windows and sun coming in. Staff were courteous and the price was great. It’s not located in Trinidad itself but a few miles south at a truck stop commercial area so best to eat in town. I would definitely stay here again.
