Sheetz

Always impressed with this Sheetz. It’s right off of the highway and there are no traffic lights between the highway and the store, which makes it an easy stop. Bathrooms are always clean and stocked with paper towels and the store always has a good selection of snacks and drinks. Service has always been friendly.

I was really looking forward to being blown away by this place. Maybe I wasn’t as blown away because I was still on my Wawa high after visiting the Northeast. I was super excited about the MTO (made to order) kiosk at Sheetz. You step up and order whatever you want and it’ll be prepared for you. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, 2 pretzel dogs for my kiddos and the hubs ordered a Philly cheese steak.
First off, my sandwich was huge. I was expecting something smaller but the size was an unexpected surprise. However, it wasn’t hot at all. I don’t like making a stink (especially after being exhausted from driving down the east coast) but I really wish it would’ve been just not luke warm. The kiddos enjoyed their hotdogs but my husband was not happy with his cheese steak. I am not sure what he was expecting, but he took most of the meat out and only ate the bun. Go figure… He can be weird like that sometimes.
The aisles and aisles of goodies made me fall in love with the place… until I stepped into the bathroom. It was totally yucky and gross. I wasn’t entirely surprised seeing as how many reviewers touched on this, but dang… it was pretty nasty. Having to take 2 little ones into a public restroom is already stressful enough because they are very hand-​sy and love to touch things. Had I not been the one driving I would’ve surely taken a shot of Jack to help calm my nerves after getting them out of that horrible bathroom.
So on top of the nasty bathroom and my sandwich not being hot, 3 stars is pretty much what they deserve from me.

This location is amazing and a life saver! We were driving back to Raleigh from Charlotte at about 1 in the morning on Tuesday transitioning into Wednesday. There weren’t that many employees, but it was okay because they were really nice and helpful. We went to the bathrooms which were super clean. Everything was well stocked and we got hot food which I am thankful for! Nice employees, clean bathrooms, hot food, and tons of junk food/​soda — -5 stars for me.

As most people, I am a fan of Sheetz and would rather stop in there than any other station even if the price is a few cents cheaper elsewhere.
I use my loyalty card and get a few cents off and freebies each month.
This location is a little further off the interstate but not too far that its completely out of the way.
One thing I didn’t like was the first time I stopped in, I purchased a car wash and picked the lowest level but it charged me for the top. (Granted, my car really needed the higher wash but I was a little surprised when I typed in my code.)
I love that they always have special products each month and new things to try.

I stopped in at this location this afternoon for a bio break and caffeine refill on my way back from a business trip to Greensboro. The store and the facilities were very clean. They had a great selection of cold beverages in stock and the employees were very friendly. Also a plus is the ease of getting back on the interstate after your pit stop.

Anytime I’m heading to Raleigh or the Triad, I stop in Sheetz for 1) the hot pretzels, 2) large drink selection, and the fact that they have fairly priced gas and more importantly diesel which is sometimes hard to find.
It is a well organized, huge convenience store, with a large selection of snacks, drinks (bottled or fountain and even slushies!). My only complaint is that they don’t have a water option on the fountain drinks so you must buy a bottle or use the water fountain. They have touchscreen kiosks where you can order your hot snacks and easily subtract or add ingredients to your liking. I personally can’t go in there without a plain salted pretzel– soft, warm and delicious. My husband likes some of their other sandwich, etc. but they have everything you could want including poppers, burgers, etc.
The bathrooms are not as nice/​large as you might expect, but it’s not bad either. Fine, acceptable toilettes.
Tip: I’ve heard that the best deal is to get the 50 or 60 oz tumbler and fill it w/​fountain drink and it will last for days and even stay fizzy.

I have not been to a Sheetz where EVERY employee said hello to me as they did here at this location. It was as if they all graduated from a class on how to make customers feel welcome. It was like they may have been filming a Commercial or something.

Usually I am a Sheetz fan, but this location was a disappointment. My best descriptor would be ‘slovenly’– the women’s restroom was out of paper, exept for the large amount that was on the floor and spilling from the trash can. The outside trash cans were overflowing as well. The staff just seemed disengaged, and the checkout line was long for the number of customers in the store. Probably need to add a person or two for the Friday evening rush?
