Ally’s Dog Spa

We have a miniature llasapoo… Romeo means the world to us! From the very beginning, walking into «Ally’s Dog Spa!» We felt confidence, knowledge, love, organized and stress free! He was a little nervous at another groomer I tried. The location is perfect for me, as we live in Corbett, Oregon! The all Green Salon is just what Portland stands strong in! So absolutely overjoyed we found Ally’s, Romeo will spend his special day each month!

I would love to give this place a great review, as they do good work. However, in a city of dog lovers, good groomers are a dime a dozen. Customer service is what separates the great from the don’t-think-I’ll-be-going-back. It isn’t that the girls at Ally’s are rude. They aren’t. But it does take some doing to make a customer feel like they’ve been taken for a ride, and that’s how I felt when leaving this place. I have a standard Schnauzer. He’s still small, and won’t be over 45 lb. full grown. When I called Ally’s to make my appointment, I was told the service would run approximately $ 50. When I got there to drop my dog off, it was suddenly $ 65. My pup gets regular brushings and had been groomed before (at a much cheaper rate somewhere else). He had no mattes, no special services needed. The price point was insane, but I was already there, so I went ahead. And again, the girls did a great job, but the news that the rate would be $ 75 for a grooming when my standard is full grown blew my mind. He isn’t a big dog. Never in my life have I paid so much for grooming, and I don’t intend to ever pay as much again. And, for all that money, my puppy came home and drank half a bowl of water. They didn’t provide him with anything to drink. So that was nice… Sorry, but this place is taking advantage of the fact that there isn’t much in the way of dog grooming in Troutdale. And when Gresham is only five minutes away and a fifteen minute drive will save you $ 25? I’ll drive.
