Above average pub grub. Friendly staff. Clean casual environment. Kid friendly during the day. Only downside is can take longer than most places to get your food or any kind of service. If you’re in a hurry no Bueno but if you’re ok sipping a beer watching a ballgame while you wait then it’s a solid choice. Happy hour is every day and has great cheap eats.

Awful fish and chips. The grease just pours out of the batter when they are handled. Slow service and really mediocre to straight crappy food here. Won’t be back. Yuck!

Last night was my first time here, after living within walking distance since 2003. I’ve been missing out! I love it! It has a great down-home feeling atmosphere, and I appreciate that they allow children. The pork English nachos were very nearly to die for!!! Zandrea(I hope I spelled her name right) was such a fun and attentive server! We will be back!

Went here two times and the first time was great. I was happy with the food and drinks and was excited to have found a nice new place to go. When I recently stopped by the other day we walked in and waited for a couple minutes to be seated but nobody greeted us. It was a hot day so we walked outside on the patio to seat ourselves and the only table open was a dirty one with cups on it. We sat down and waited for 30 minutes while the waitress kept walking by and just looked over at us. Eventually her first thing said was«want menus?» No «sorry, I’ll clean the table» «hi how are you?» Nothing. After this rude response we got, after getting such bad service, we stood up and left. It’d be different if she was busy and then she was friendly, but busy and rude? There’s plenty of other places to go.

Very nice little bar. Parking is available nearby but requires a little walk. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and was not disappointed. Very friendly staff and promptly served my order plus even though I was sitting out on the patio the waitress checked on me a lot.

Stopped in on a Friday night. They were busy. Fish and chips were good. Cheap beer and the margaritas were STRONG. The wait staff was nice. They have a patio and live music on the weekend. Will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

It took a while for the food to arrive, but when it did, it was delicious. The Reuben and fries were both great. I would definitely visit here again.

If your craving a hamburger and brew after a hike in the gorge, in a hurry, then you walk in to see a full house, turn around. Unfortunate to say, we walked in at 3p, ordered 10 minutes later, received our food at 415p. The waitresses were nice but whoever was in the kitchen was ‘backed up’. They were kind to comp one of our beers but overall, Ye Old Pub was not satisfactory even after reading the 674 star reviews they received from Unilocal reviewers.

Visiting Portland for a Rainshadow Running Race, I really liked Ye Old Pub. I ate there 3 times during my stay, and there is a lot of places to eat in the area. The grilled chicken Cobb salad was great, also had the chicken club sandwich, they do have local brews on tap. A few good IPA’s to. Service wasn’t the greatest, seemed a bit short handed, but the waiters that were there did a good job trying to keep up with everyone.

Awful. Do not go here. I’ve been here three times in the past year and two of the three times they said there would be a 45 minute wait for food when it was not busy at all!!! The last and final time was tonight. My boyfriend and I sat down outside, the waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink. we both ordered alcoholic beverages, she checked our I.d.‘s… My boyfriend, how was 16 in his photo and 25 now and looks much different, was fine, no questions asked. And then She said she’d have to have mine double checked after looking extremely skeptical of it. She was extremely rude about it. And then she came back and told me I’d have to answer questions because my photo looked«zoomed in». Just a bit of background information; I’ve lost 80 pounds since my I.d. photo was taken so I have a much smaller face… But I look exactly the same otherwise. Needless to say after three attempts at this place, I will never go back. It sucks because it’s within walking distance of my house. I guess thats what happens when your employees don’t know anything about how to treat a customer.

Beer Fondue was fantastic as was the artichoke spinach dip! Dog friendly patio and friendly service although it was a long wait for our food they compensated for that. The steaks bites were only ok. Beer taps are limited but decent.

Orgasmic food and drinks!!! Our first time here. Ronnie — our server and bartender, was very sweet and knowledgable. She made the perfect appletini and marionberry sour(goes down like water). She should have a raise! Great old school country and 70′-80’s music. Everything is homemade. Come hungry because you get huge portions!

Typical pub atmosphere. Better than typical pub food. Mildly creative twists on pub food without going too far away from food you’d expect in a pub. Beer fondue, chicken nachos, cheeseburger… All tasty. Fresh, unique bun on bbq pork sandwich was great. An excellent place to stop on the way to or from the gorge.

After a really nice, but steep, hike on the gorge one gets hungry… or hangry. Granted, there were probably a few other places along the highway, we ended up in Troutdale. Why had I never been out here? There is a quaint little downtown area and several food establishments. One of them being Ye Olé Pub. Nothing wrong with some pub food or a juicy burger and a hopped beverage to stave off an angry stomach. We got there and of course the outside of the location is set up with its Old English style font and wood to make it look, well old. Wooden tables and benches and playoff football on several flat screens around the pub. A pool table off in the back of the place and a small selection of beers on tap, more in bottles and cans. The women running the bar were superfriendly and the menu had many of the normal apps and usual bar menu options. There was a decent selection for burgers and the western with bbq sauce, cheese and an onion ring looked to be the choice for me… although there was one with bacon, ham and an egg on it but it was $ 12. At $ 9, the western was a simpler option. The burger came on a cibatta roll with mayo as well and a side of seasoned fries. I asked for med/rare and it came out more med/well but the burger was seasoned well and to be honest, I was just plain famished so I ate. We got a couple beers and a kids meal for my buddies daughter. For three of us with food and drinks we got out of there at barely over $ 30, not bad. Being that we tend to hike out on the gorge more frequently, we can see heading back to Ye Olde Pub again, hopefully soon. Enjoy.

This is my first time here and I had the Reuben and it was excellent. Other people with me had fish and chips and western burger. They both said it was excellent. They play music that is my style and service was great. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

The waiter said that the Reuben was the best. I can’t really say much since I don’t have much experience with reuben sandwiches, but there was nothing wrong with it other than not really being full afterwards. The cobb salad was great value. It came with all the different parts of the salad in the right proportions. It never felt like there was too much of any one thing in the salad. Service was great. The waiter was very friendly and had lots of suggestions for us. I wish our water glasses were filled more often, but it might’ve been only because we were sitting in a corner. Regretably the mac and cheese was not available at the time we went.

The service Monday afternoon was amazing, the food was good also, but I will definitely be a returning customer because of the amazing quality of service. Pool tables in the back and a really nice atmosphere for people why want to chat. I was with a party of seven and everyone really enjoyed their meal, definitely bar food, but still good and very reasonably priced.

This place is great! I wrote a review last summer that has been proven completely inaccurate. I decided to give them another chance and I’m so glad I did. My kids and I eat here at least once a week and we always have GREAT service. Their fondue is absolutely addicting! They also serve breakfast on the weekends and it’s delicious, especially their sausage gravy! I would give them ten stars if I could!

This restaurant has become a tradition for me after hiking in the gorge. Everything I’ve ordered has been good, the service is always great, etc. Always a positive experience! After exhausting hikes, the hearty, warm food and cozy atmosphere are just what’s needed. Prices are standard, drinks are strong, and food is consistently good.

Very friendly staff, really good food, nice beer selection(though mostly bottle), outside patio and kid-friendly! Hard to ask much more. They have the best steak bites I’ve ever had. I hardly ever order the, but had a huge craving and they did more than satisfy it, they also had homemade sinus-clearing horseradish sauce. The onion rings were flavorful and the coating stuck to the onions. However for $ 8 we got 7 onion rings. That seemed a bit too much. And they’ll soon be charging for sauces, too(instead of the BBQ and ranch that currently come with it. So the food was good quality, but some things are overpriced(like the onion rings) and a small tap selection, that’s why I dropped it by two stars. If judged on steak bites alone, it’s five stars!
