I hadn’t had my hair cut in 3 years before coming to Cheveux Maxim last week! I chose because of the Unilocal reviews, and recommend this salon 100%. I was terrified of getting my hip-​length hair chopped off when I wanted just a trim or fried when i wanted a little color. But, I had nothing to worry about, as Selam did an absolutely amazing job! She trimmed my hair perfectly, added layers exactly how I described them, and put in beautiful carmel highlights to give my plain brown hair much needed depth and character. The highlights are well integrated, not obvious or «stripe-​y» like I fear in coloring my hair, the price was very reasonable, the salon was clean, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Overall, wonderful. Go to Cheveux Maxim and ask for Selam!

I am new to the area and came into cheveu maxim salon during my work day. Nabil greeted me as I walked in and was already busy with two other clients but took the time to speak with me. I just have to say that his work ethic and customer service are incredible. Nabil does excellent color, extension work as well as hair cuts. He is a genuinely honest and caring person as well as a talented stylist. As a stylist myself I can say that I would highly recommend him for any service.

I had a cut and color last week and they did a great job, the color looks natural but rich and Selam did a great job with the cut. SOO many places see long hair and think it’s fine to cut 3 inches when you only ask for 1 inch but Selam did as I asked and cut 1 inch! I love it, great service, I’ll be back.

An absolute gem hidden right in the middle of everything! Nabil is a colorist that should be working on Fifth Avenue. Seriously amazing work. I have been to many of the top salons in Birmingham and Royal Oak and am so delighted to have found Nabil and Cheveux Maxim. Plus a parking lot and Starbucks next door! What more could you ask?

I went from long to short and walked out of there with a fun, sassy, sexy new cut and color by Brian! Brian is the best– he listens, he is thoughtful with his suggestions/​input and he takes his time to make sure the cut is perfect. A stylist that listens and takes his time to get it right– hard to imagine huh?! Go see Brian, you won’t be let down. The salon itself is beautiful if unassuming from the outside (it’s in a small strip). It is stylish without being pretentious! What more could you ask for?!

I heard about this salon from a family member, and fell in love with it the second I stepped inside. Nabil is amazing and I have loved every single cut and color he’s given me. Top notch, designer salon. A+!!

Used Groupon. trying to find new stylist. Brian was it. I had 2 requests… give me natural looking auburn-​colored hair color and DONT CUT MY HAIR SHORT!!! It took me 1 year to get it the medium length it was. «Cut off an-​inch– and– a half at most» I said. He CUT MY HAIR SHORT and I’ve hated it since the day he’s done it! I had a wedding 6/​20, Florida vac ⁶⁄₂₁ to 7/​3, and class reunion ⁷⁄₁₈ and I wanted longer hair for all these events. I wont ever go back to this salon again.

Brian has been doing my hair for years. He is by far the best stylist! He has a way with color and his cuts are fabulous! There has not been a time that I didn’t like the cut or color. He is most definitely the best! He knows how to pamper everyone of his clients. I will not have anyone else touch my hair but him.

Brian is amazing. I never leave reviews, but I know how hard it is to find a fantastic stylist. I had 2 amazing haircuts and one great color. He really knows what he is doing!

my first BOB haircut: he cut it short, blowdried it, straightened it, and then spent 30 min perfecting my haircut using a mix or scissors and a razor to thin it and to the edgy look I wanted.
Also his coloring skills are great. It always looks naturally flawless.
I have referred many of my friends and family members and so far no disappointments.

Nabil is wonderful! He has been doing my hair for years and every time is perfect. He is a color and extension specialist. I have been getting my extensions done by him forever and no one ever knows I have extensions in!

I went to Angela for highlights. She was AMAZING! Not only was she very friendly, she was REALLY good at color! I love my new blond look and the blowout she gave me was amazing. My hair has never looked so healthy and the color is perfect!
