This place is usually out of stock. The employees are super rude and doesn’t wanna be helpful or is snotty about it. It’s always my luck to end up w a rude one… The nice ones r rare. The guy/girl that works here felt obligated to help me but didn’t want to. I’d rather to go to store. Avoid this Mac at Macy’s. Or find a nice lady to help. But they usually are out of stock of popular products.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. I find the employees to all be pretty rude and not very helpful. I know it’s not their fault but whoever is in charge for ordering products should be fired. You cannot count on this place for restocking any remotely popular products. When I asked for Soar lip liner the man/woman that was helping me actually laughed at me following that with rolling his eyes and said no we don’t. I must have asked for three other items and he checked for me if they were in stock and they were not. I wasn’t surprised by this though because this has been the case for years. Need I say that the displays are always in disarray or empty? I usually go out of my way to just drive out to Somerset Collection because I know they will always have what I am looking for.

Huge M.A.C. fan… but hate this particular location. I’ve been here on 4 separate locations and different times throughout the day within the last year and I swear the makeup artists here are allergic to doing make-up on walk-ins. Partridge Creek, Somerset and 12 Oaks mall M.A.C locations never have a problem with walk-in makeup application and they are even busier than this location. They even do full face. I was waiting to get just some eye makeup done and this girl didn’t even want to let me remove the(crappy) makeup I had on. And I understand she had to help other people get matched up with products they needed, but her telling me to start applying my eye makeup myself and she’d be there in a minute was the last straw. I can apply my own makeup at home? I’m not driving all the way to a makeup counter to do what I could have done in my bedroom. I easily spend 200 $ a month at M.A.C. but will not be returning here after tonight. The other M.A.C. stores around this area have much more professional employees.

The people do not pay close attention to you when you arrive at this counter. I was given the wrong shade, so I had to go back and exchange. After that, I was charged twice for this purchase so I had to call the store. The lady the phone had the audacity to tell me that I needed to come in so they can review their cameras to make sure I didn’t actually make this duplicate purchase. I couldn’t even believe that she thought this was a smart thing to say to me. She really had no idea what I was even talking about and I had to repeat myself more than once to get some crappy answer in the end. I will definitely not come to this counter again.

Words can not express how much respect and appreciation I have for Kristina, one of the artists here. Here work is flawless, and almost as beautiful as her soul. When I step down from the chair, I feel that I feel better, both internally, and externally.

I love MAC. The counters(in Macy’s) are never as good as the store(at Somerset) but this counter is pretty good. Pretty much across the board, the MAC make up artists are great. They’re always looking fierce in their all black outfits and industrial sized make up belts slung around their waist, ready to brush a sample of the newest shade on your face. And for those that say«why does it matter how they look?» — well, just like they said you don’t want to go to a hair stylist whose own ‘do is a mess, it just makes me feel better buying my cosmetics from people who clearly know how to rock their own make up(and overall look) out. The counter is usually packed, but I’ve never had to wait long because they are well staffed. If I know what I’m looking for, they’ll have me in and out. The other day I needed another recommendation of foundation shade — I was in between two and finding one a little too dark and the other a little too light. The make up artist who helped me gave a stellar suggestion, and all it took was her quickly and skillfully brushing some on my cheek to assure me that it was a perfect blend. Downfall — since they are a counter, and a busy one, they are sometimes out of the shade I want.(At least when concerning foundation — and this is also probably due to the fact that I am very fair skinned and take nearly the lightest shade they have. They told me that they don’t stock as many of the very light or very dark shades, because they tend to sell slower than the medium shades). BUT a big pro, is that they are so apologetic when that happens they always offer to make me a couple sample sizes from the display tester. These sample jars are small but go a long way — usually gives me a good 2 weeks worth of foundation! By that point they will call and let me know that they have it in and I can come pick it up. As far as quality, MAC is unparalleled. Sure I can pick up a bottle of foundation at the drug store for half the price, but I’ll need to use twice as much to get the even coverage I want, and reapply twice as often as it wears off. MAC is the best. And for the BEST of the best, you want to go to the full MAC store at Somerset. But if you can’t make it there, this counter isn’t a bad way to go.
