Would probably give 3.5 stars if I could. I love quesadillas… they are probably one of my favorite things to eat, so when I heard there was a «quesadillary» in Troy I had to go. I ordered the Kyle and kind of immediately regretted it. Not because it wasn’t good, but because it wasn’t like a real quesadilla. A quesadilla to me, is a mexican dish and something that should be served with salsa. I was drawn to the BBQ sauce but then realized that’s not really what should be in a quesadilla, but rather a wrap or something. It was good, but not so amazing where I’d go out of my way to come back. The staff was friendly, the restaurant had plenty of seating options, and there were many different menu options but I wasn’t blown away. If I’m in the area I’d definitely return, but I probably wouldn’t drive out of my way. I could make the same thing at home if I really wanted to.

After getting turned away from the Kettle as I was trying to get provisions for a picnic with my sweetie I felt the pinch to get something, anything, for food that would satisfy a vegetarian and a dairyfree/glutenfree diet. I wasn’t holding up much hope when I noticed Muddaddy Flats and thought«what the heck.» I’m SO glad I did. Obviously, they could accommodate my vegetarianism, but not only that, they are fully stocked with gluten free and dairy free options! They had dairy free cheese, and dairy free sour cream. They have a nice gluten free tortilla. My partner was amazed!(And incredibly happy to have some comfort foods that she had previously not been able to have.) The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The décor is nice.(I’m not talking the ritz here. But it’s nice.) Cute sit down areas and counter ordering.

Stopped by for lunch today. Menu looks tremendous with so many options including a variety of tortilla choices. I went basic with the Buffalo Bird(buffalo chicken) in a wheat tortilla. The chicken was juicy & tender. It hit all the right spots with spiciness and flavor. Excited to make it back to try the other menu options.

We are here at least once a week. The chicken, steak, pork, and vegetarian quesadillas are the best. The soup specials are delicious as well as the homemade desserts. Dan and Melissa, the owners as well as the other employees are very accommodating. Dan is always promoting events that are going on and very involved in Troy activities and businesses.

Nice guy. I tried full bird with red pepper flat. Flat is quite crisp. Though sauce is not that match

They definitely do a great business and have a very unique concept that no one else does — I don’t think I’ve come across another«Quesadillary» in the capital district recently. I am just not as crazy about it as everyone else out there seems to be. I may be in the minority on this one, but my all time favorite quesadillas are from Friendly’s. I know it sounds odd, but they are just so good… the quesadillas at Muddaddy’s are more like something I can make myself at home. The quality of the ingredients are great, and they have a ton of options for fillings and even the tortillas themselves, but I like to keep it simple with my quesadillas and have something I can’t make for myself at home. I don’t want to downplay everything that Muddaddy’s does right — the staff are extremely friendly, the restaurant is clean and well organized, and as I mentioned, they have a ton of options to satisfy many tastebuds. And, not that they do anything wrong really, I just wasn’t blown away by the quesadillas themselves. I may go back for one of their mac and cheese quesadillas because THAT is certainly not something I can or would make for myself. But aside from that, I’m glad I got to finally satisfy my curiosity and check them out after following them on facebook for a few years.

I ate here with my family a few weeks ago. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with my Ruben quesadilla. It tasted good, and was cooked nicely.

Excellent spot in Troy for a fast and filling lunch. I have had quesedilla before, but having so many choices just blew my mind! I ended up with the Philly Willy on a garlic tortilla. Very good, fresh sauces and enough for a full stomach. I also had the soup of the day. It was a touch under spiced, but the thought was good. Just need a bit better execution. Between chips and salsa, a cup of soup and a Philly, I ended up leaving half of it for tomorrow’s lunch. Good food, good price, good people. This place does what it says it does. I also enjoyed the space and how it was decorated. GOTROY!!!

Consistent deliciousness. And your quesadilla can be customized to make it healthy for those who care about such things. I am a new regular, and like to go there to get a gluten free quesadilla. All sorts of options. Would be great for a family, first low-key date, or a quick stop on the way somewhere else. It has been ready in 7 minutes every time I’ve been so far! Not sure if the other pictures people have posted will fully do it justice. These are good quesadillas with good ingredients which you must taste, for my friends, that is the magic of Muddaddy Flats! But they do look pretty good, also.

This is definitely not your grandma’s quesadilla. The ultimate quesadilla stop, why would you bother making them at home when you can enjoy the delicious concoctions that this place has to offer? I got the FireBird which was a little zesty but so delicious. Served hot, cheesy, and with plenty of meat. A winning combo. My husband ordered the Tanya, chicken with bacon, avocado and cheese. How can you go wrong with that? You can’t, that’s the answer. So good. They’re fast, friendly. Seems kind of like a college hangout spot, very relaxed vibe. We will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Anytime I am asked about food in troy one of my first questions are«Do you like quesadillas?». My co-workers and I will drive 20 minutes just for Muddaddy’s and have never regretted it. If you aren’t sure what to get I suggest«The Kyle» which is the bbq chicken quesadilla!

I’m so happy Muddaddy Flats moved to Third st because they’re now a two minute walk from my house. There’s a quesadilla for everyone and the price is right– if you want a sloppy, delicious meal go with the pulled pork. Looking for something healthier– try the veggie or the Tanya(bacon is healthy, shush). They also always have great daily specials… Keep an eye out for the buffalo Mac n cheese quesadilla. So good!

My friends and I stopped in for lunch on a random Saturday after a visit to the Troy Farmer’s Market and we had a decent meal. I ordered the«Plain Jane» with mozzarella on a spinach tortilla and with their«mud sauce,» which was said to be a red pepper sauce. The price was definitely right — only $ 4.99 — and it filled me up big time. The sauce was quite oily, however, and tasted faintly of red peppers, and otherwise of buffalo sauce. And the spinach tortilla, which is meant to be a vibrant green color, was the color of a wheat tortilla. Overall, everyone else was stuffed by their ‘dilla, and none of us broke the bank. I am not sure if I would return — I would most likely try out a different restaurant before coming back here. That is mostly because there are a number of amazing restaurants there, and not necessarily because the food at Muddaddy Flats isn’t worth eating. To be continued!

The vegan quesadilla is great! They also have vegan sour cream. I would recommend this place to anyone. The parking is hard since it is downtown Troy but not to bad. Customer service was good and fast. Only wish they delivered.

I’m not much of a review writer, but I feel I need to write one today. Muddaddy’s is a wonderful place to eat. I’m always satisfied. Their Mac and cheese, chicken and jalapeño are my favorites. Let me not forget to mention their delicious and unusual soup concoctions. Every time my teenagers have a half a day at school, the first place they want to go for lunch is Muddaddy’s. There really is something for everyone. Their owners truly care about their customers and the city of Troy. Constantly promoting other locally owned business. They put their money where their mouths are. If you are looking for a meal where you will get good food, service and help the local economy at the same time, Muddaddy’s is the place to go.

WIthout a doubt, Muddaddy Flats is one of the best places to get lunch in Troy, and probably my favorite restaurant in the region. The only thing more remarkable than the quality of these simple yet delicious quesadillas is their consistency — you can be sure you’ll get the same great experience every time you enter, no matter how busy it is. If you phone in a pick-up order from really anywhere outside of walking distance, you can leave right away and it’ll likely be ready by the time you arrive. The wait for food is just a few minutes, definitely short enough that you don’t really need to call ahead. Their spicier buffalo dishes are excellent, just enough kick for the average person. I’m particularly a fan of their parm bird and their buffalo mac and cheese special. The owners are great, friendly people who clearly care deeply about their work in the restaraunt and are always looking to improve. I really can’t possibly say enough nice things about this place. I just love it.

Absolutely LOVE this place. They recently opened in the downtown Troy area and not far from where I work. So I’m extremely ecstatic. The food here is so delicious! The meat is well seasoned and bursting with flavor. You have a choice of tortilla flavors and they even offer soups of the day. The soups costs 4.75. I ordered«The Anna» quesadilla. It was delicious. It wasn’t oily and the ingredients are truly fresh. Price range isn’t too bad compared to most places. It is a casual dining with outdoor tables available as well. I’m not sure if they offer student and military discounts, but as I mentioned, it’s affordable if you’re on a budget. So glad to have this wonderful little restaurant nearby. Highly recommend.
