Great people, great food, and great price. Large, one-topping pizzas are $ 5 every day, and while they may not be the best pizzas you’ll ever have, they are well worth the buy. The crust is chewy and tender and the sauce is flavorful and tasty. All the ingredients taste very«real» and add to the quality of the food. I love the cheese breadsticks($ 3.49 with free sauce), and I always get either an apple turnover or a small éclair(both made in-house like most, if not all, the desserts there). The employees are very friendly and have never messed up an order from me in the 13+ years I have been ordering from them. I love Peppy’s and supporting local businesses!

Great little local fresh made Pizza, pasties, cookies. For $ 5 you get a large 1 topping Pizza that blows the doors off of little Caesars $ 5 hot and ready. Just program their number in your phone and call when you R ready and it will B hot and fresh and ready with your choice of topping. Ones you get their $ 5 Pizza, you won’t go back to Little Caesars. I’ve been coming here for years and am surprised I haven’t written a review before.

Interesting little shop with pasties, cheap pizza that’s fine for the kids and great baked goods like pies, pretty little cookies and other specialties. Last I went they had 5 dollar pizzas, so we could get one for the kids and pasties for Mom, Dad, and Grandma.

Lived in Troy my whole life but just tried pizza from this place for the first time. We ordered a half pepperoni and half Italian sausage pie with an order of breadsticks. This establishment is great but only wish they had more parking spaces. There is only one small table for two inside from first glance. The breadsticks were really good but didn’t come with marinara sauce. The pizza was tasty but the crusts felt a little undercooked and chewy. There was no herb seasoning or oil to prevent prolonged chewing. Overall, the pizza is actually super thin compared to pizzas made by chains. I recommend trying the 5.00 special since it’s a fresh alternative to getting a Hot N Ready from Little Caesar’s all the time.

Great pizza, even better grinders. They also have a fantastic assortment of baked goods. The butter cookies bring back memories of growing up in a Hamtramck!

Wanted to give 3&½ stars. Might get bumped up later after I try something besides the pizza. Tiny place off Crooks. Gets REALLY busy when night rush hour arrives so make sure you call ahead. Once inside we waited in line for at least 15 minutes due to the line(also due to the fact that they had no order for me… they had the same order under«Becky» and were cool enough to give me that order after a few tense moments of everyone staring around at each other. Very nice Polish people(I assume by the accents and pastry)…even gave my kids a couple of free cookies for us being cool with the wait and the hassle. ALSO, be forewarned, there is a tiny parking lot in back of the place but it seems quite a few aholes can’t seem to handle it so they park on the side or in front making it very unsafe when walking back to your car especially in the dark with kids. There were a couple of seats but I saw people just waiting for their order… no place to sit and eat like another reviewer had mentioned. NOW…down to business: We got 2 large carryout and we thought they were just fine. Nothing too fancy, just round, rather thin, a little greazy as well as fresh and relatively quality ingredients. Super cheap, got them for $ 5 each and could not complain at all.(Well…my WIFE complained! She didn’t dig it too much but she has a problem with any kind of change. She didn’t seem to have a problem scoring some slices and gulping them like a seal with a fish.) Reheats great the next day.(A big bonus… a lot of local place’s wheel sucks the next day(unless you are desperate… but even then you always end up regretful… Talkin to YOU Lil’Caesars, Domino’s, Papa John’s, etc…) So, in closing it is a much better deal than a hot & ready and it is worth the trip. On the reviews of the pasties, I am TOTALLY going back for some of those and some Pierogi sometime soon.

This is a great little pizza place. It’s right around the corner for us, so we pop over to grab pizzas whenever it’s been a long day and we don’t want to cook. First of all, it’s fast, usually ready in 15 minutes. Second, you cannot beat the price, $ 5 – 7 for a fresh large pizza. Third, it’s a good pizza. The sauce is a little sweet and tasty, toppings are fresh, and the bread has a good bite. The cookies are good too! I love supporting a local place with good stuff!

I found this gem while gassing up next door. Heck I think their business could exist inside the BP parking lot the building is so tiny. I’ve had the pizza. I’ve had the grinders. They are darn good for what they are. Price is on spot, and the freshness is not to be forgotten. What I have also had, are the pastie’s. Oh nelly! I don’t recommend the pizza one as it’s a failed calzone. Spinach and feta is great if that’s your preference, but not authentic. The beef with rutabaga is where it’s at. Peppy’s knows how to make a flaky crust, and the entire thing just merrys flavor. Carrot, and potato inside as well. I prefer it with beef gravy on the side(60 cents). One is enough to fill my lunch belly. They are $ 2.95 each, and weigh in at 1lb. That’s unreal! One day we ordered 15 on a lunch run(called 20 mins ahead) for our company, and they were ready and hot. No skimp on quality with the bulk order. Great little business that put heart into their stuff. That’s often missed in our current America. Thank you Peppy’s!

The kid in their logo sort of looks like a young Sloth from«Goonies» but their $ 5 pizza is a pretty good deal. It’s OK, not blow your doors off great, but for $ 5 what do you want? I mean, come on, you’re poor so you don’t get to be picky.

Went with one chicken pasty and one spinach/feta pasty to go yesterday. The chicken one needs moisture — they sell chicken gravy on the side which is a must. $ 2.95 for chicken, the spinach/feta was a little cheaper. They also have beef and veggie plus I might be forgetting one other one. You can get them cold to go or they have hot ones ready to roll. The same little lady has been running this place for years and years.

Went back again today, got the grinders this time. I got a Philly Cheesesteak(knowing and expecting it to not be authentic, I’m not retarded like some reviewers who compare it to the authentic thing) and a Club, both 8″ since they are running a buy one 8″ grinder get one half off special. For $ 6, I got two meals and they were damn well filling. I ate the cheesesteak about 5 hours ago and I haven’t been snacking, which is unusual for me. I’ll probably reheat the club tomorrow and their grinders reheat really well. I still recommend Peppy’s as one of the best places to get food in my little one mile square radius.

PASTIES in trollville! I have ordered them off the net, driven back to the UP and eaten tons of terrible pasties, then I find the best ones in my own neighborhood! They do awesome pastries too. $ 5 dollar pizza that blows sleazers out the door!

Peppy’s pizza is run out of a cinder blocked rectangular-shaped looking trailer. To me, it makes it all that much cooler and gives it character. This place is take out though they do have 1 or 2 small tables. When you walk in you’ll see not only fresh pizza slices but cookies, pierogies, pasties, wings and all sorts of great food ready for the picking. This is a family run place and customer service here is ALWAYS top notch. I mean, you actually want to go here just to support them as they appreciate the business. The pizza tends to be on the thin side and is super greasy but they do it well. Price wise, they are cheap. $ 6 for a large pizza with 1 topping but on Tuedays it”s $ 5 for a large and $ 6 for an extra large. I will say this, if you want a whole pie… order ahead of time! It does take a good 25 minutes to get a pizza here… however, you can’t rush perfection, eh?
