I tried the pizza and bread sticks the price was good for the amount of food you get. Both were above average food then places around. This place is a sit down family joint with good value. The staff was friendly and fast.

Alibi has the best pizza around. Their bread is one of a kind. Highly recommend trying pizza, spaghetti, breadsticks, and salad from here.

This is the best pizza in the area by far! Have been frequenting this location for many years and have always had EXCELLENT pizza and salads. They’ve recently remodeled the inside and it’s awesome. You know the place is doing something right when there is so much carryout for their pizza. Seriously– they use the highest quality ingredients. For me and my family this is the standard to which other pizza is compared to. A very high standard it is. The pepperoni they use is delicious. Highly recommend requesting fresh mushrooms instead of the canned variety. Makes a big difference. What else can I say — they’ve been around a very very long time — they are obviously doing something right. If you haven’t tried this place you are seriously missing out.

Restaurant was packed on a gloomy saturday — had to be a good place. We enjoyed ourselves, but nothing to write home about. a nice family oriented place. Pizza is their specialty, and it was good — but nothing really to write home about.

I’m not that impressed with Alibi. I’ve heard many good things but after eating here three times now I can safely I’m in no rush to come back. The ribs are average and the sauce they use has to be Open Pit(which you can buy bottled at any grocery store). Tonight I got my ribs and when they came out they were completely cold yet were charred which leads me to believe they cook them ahead of time and just reheat them. I’m not impressed with their pizza and the breadsticks that I’ve heard so much about are nothing to write home about. I will say the antipasto salad was pretty good. All in all if you’re on the fringe on whether or not to eat here, I’d say pass Alibi and take your chances with a different restaurant.

Best Pizza in town! Always willing to accommodate our last minute group parties. It’s always busy but they’ve been very friendly and we just wait in the bar until a table is available for us. As busy as it is, the wait has never been more than 20 minutes. The greek salad is fantastic.

The outside of the building is pretty and landscaped well. Inside has a funky lay-out with diners spread out in different directions. The booths are comfortable and there seems to be plenty of seating. Our meals came with two breadsticks each. The breadsticks came served warm, fluffy and 5 star rock-delicious! I could dine on nothing but the bread. The salad that came with our meal was fresh and plentiful. I had spaghetti with meat sauce and mom had the chicken parmesan. There was a lot of sauce on my spaghetti and I love it that way. We didn’t care for the sauce as it taste like it had too much sugar in it. The silverware wasn’t very clean and the wine glasses looked like they could use a good scrubbing as well. There is a lot to choose from on the menu. The service was good. We will return and try some other items that do not involve spaghetti sauce.

This was a very excellent lunch choice. The Troy Colt chicken sandwich was delicious. The spinach and mushrooms used in this sandwich were obviously fresh and you can taste the various ingredients. Will order this again Our waiter, Brandon. Was friendly and knowledgeable. Very good experience.

I go for the pizza. It’s the easiest on the wallet and feeds the most mouths. Their salads are great too and that rounds out the meal for us. It’s not really on our way to anything anymore, so we rarely get to go. The best time to go is right at 1 pm on Sundays — before the church crowds get out. Service is usually great and the feel of the restaurant is cozy. Great for families.

First time here — the pizza is great. But I ordered the clam chowder and it would have been good if they didn’t ruin it by over salting it. So many restaurants ruin their food by putting a ton of salt in it.

Worst pizza ever! Soggy crust and no flavor. Received 2 stars for the amazing breadsticks. Responding to owner: we ate there last Friday and were a table of 14. My husband and I shared a small pizza. It wasn’t cooked enough and the crust was soggy but we were heading to a show and didn’t have time to send it back. The restaurant was very busy and our waiter was very kind. The salad and breadsticks were very good.

Friday night place is packed. Everybody can’t be wrong. We waited. Glad we did, service and food were worth the wait. Fried mushrooms, steak, chicken wings, green beans. Good job team. Everything was wonderful and the wait wasn’t long. Worth it. We’ll b back.

After reading through these reviews, EVERY negative review on this list is from an individual who has clearly not grasped the concept of proper spelling and grammar. As such, please consider their reviews invalid. People like them are an embarrassment to Unilocal. As for Alibi, their food is great — a hell of an Italian grinder, spectacular pizza, and the best antipasto salad on the planet. I understand that there can be a bit of a wait sometimes, but clearly there’s a wait because the food is so dang good. The selection of Michigan craft beers is also a plus for the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

I really do not feel like I will be rating this place fairly because I never dined-in and never ate anything from here except for the pizza. If you are looking for a place with great pizza look no further, this place has one of the best pizza in town. The pizza is filled with cheese and they put extra sauce on it(just the way I like it). The pepperonis are those small crispy with raised edges. I have been in the place to pick up my food and the design of the inside of the restaurant is very nice and the workers were always nice to me.

Their cheese pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had. I never get cheese pizza. Their breadsticks and salad dressings are worth it as well. The other things I’ve tried on their menu have been forgettable but the service is great.

Awesome food. I just moved in across the street and gave it a shot. A shot that wasn’t disappointing. I had the spaghetti with meatballs. I’ve never had success with this as carry out before but the food was excellent. I see myself spending quite a bit of cash here in the future!

Update. Maybe my tastes have changed but I came in last week for pizza and salad and it was pretty lousy. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a antipasto salad. The pizza tasted like it had sweet prego spaghetti sauce on it or something. The crust looked great, the pizza looked great, pepperoni looked awesome…, it just didn’t taste like much. Really. All we tasted was sweetness. I felt like how I imagine a smoker must feel when he can’t taste stuff. The salad was another problem. Salad was drowning in dressing. I could have easily poured off a cup of dressing off our small salad. This seems to be a recurring theme so maybe it’s how the management wants the servers to present the salad? I won’t be back for pizza again. Maybe for something else, not sure. Nachos sound good

Alibi is always a great experience. I had the salmon and the boyfriend got a pizza. Salmon was cooked beautifully and my boyfriends small 4-slice pizza was a great portion! We also had probably one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. Vicki was such a sweetheart and made our meal an excellent experience.

Terrible experience tonight. Arrived at 8:40pm, got seated at a table in the bar. Sat for a few minutes, waiter took my order. Asked for water and a beer. Waiter asked if I was ready to order, so I did. After 5 minutes, my chili came… no beer or water. Chili was literally steaming hot… too hot to eat without a drink. Waiter disappeared… no beer or water. Group of 8 seated next to me about 8:55…my waiter takes their orders. I try to get his attention as he walks past me… nope. He a little after 9 he brings all the drinks to the table of 8… nothing for me. I get up and put on my coat… he sees me and says he’ll get my drinks… I told him to drink them himself and walked out. If a party of 1 means that little to Alibi, I am happy to go elsewhere. Sorry to have bothered your place of business.

You are right Jim C owners do not care about the customers. However they have a new manager, he actually smiles at people, makes eye contact, makes you feel welcome, unlike the other manager who just paces around and around looking down, has an attitude that he is doing you a favor letting you eat there, he needs to realize the customers are paying to eat there and that’s actually what is paying the bills including his pay check, because without the customers there would be no job for him or anyone else. I have seen him be down right nasty to people. Hope he stays at this family place because it wouldn’t fly at a restaurant that actually cares about the customers.

Love the Alibi for the ambiance and of course the pizza. Salads are very good as well. Both the antipasto dressing and pizza crust have a sweetness that makes them unique and addicting. Pros: warm, comfortable atmosphere, good for families and couples alike, good bar area, consistent food, great salads and top notch pizza. The specialty is the round which has a med thick crust. If you’re a fan of pepperoni this is a good place to order it — round, crispy little grease cups. Cons: I wouldn’t have remembered, but as someone else pointed out here the ‘no seating until the entire party is present’ policy could be an inconvenience. I was burned on that once. If it’s cold out I’d avoid tables near the door in the bar area. Indifference: consistently, perfectly, adequate service. I frequented the Alibi pretty regularly for a while and never had a bad service experience or one I would consider exceptional.

Food was delicious. It was just my hubby and I. I had prime rib. It was tender and cooked to perfection. I was jealous of all the tables around us enjoying their amazing looking pizza! But since it was date night… Taking the kids back for pizza!

Wow. This place is amazing. We came here for rehearsal dinner for my friends wedding. I was the best man for this particular wedding. The groom or my friend had mentioned the breadsticks were amazing. After having one, the breadsticks really were as he described. They are so soft and buttery. It couldn’t but help myself from stopping. They were like eating those pizza breadsticks you get at those pizza places; except it’s super fresh. I was skeptical when someone tole me the feta salad was amazing. Upon having some i was surprised. It was really that good. The feta salad had this delicious dressing that provided acid and the feta cheese was rich and went well with the mix of romain lettuce. The prime rib here is a steal. It’s large and can feed hungry-man portions. My wife only had half of it. Looking at the prices, i was deeply surprised the prime rib was only 17 bucks. I would normally pay $ 30 – 40 for a prime rib of that size. Overall, i would definately come back. Next time, i would want to try the pizza, or have another prime rib!

This was my first time visiting Alibi and I would visit again for their pizza alone. I was there with two other people and the restaurant was not very busy. The service was not great. It took an extremely long time to get out drink orders taken and then to order our food. We ordered two pizzas, breadsticks, and the Greek salad. All was very tasty and full of flavor. The breadsticks were a little on the salty side but were super fresh with perfect texture. The cups with water had something floating in the glass and when I asked for a new glass the server was not pleasant. I was brought another dirty glass. I think I’ll order carryout if I choose to visit again.

Went here Friday night around 9pm. I wasn’t super hungry so I got a Greek salad. Got the small. It was gianormous. Should have gotten the individual size. Tons of dressing piled on top, next time I will ask for it on the side. I have had he pizza several times. Pretty good. Homemade brownie was by far the best thing I’ve had there. It was warm and gooey and everything I wanted. Came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

I love their antipasto and bread sticks. I could make a meal of that alone but I always get the pizza too. I will eat there twice this week and would eat there a third time if the opportunity was available. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service always good. The value for the money is excellent which is all the better since I like it so much.

I’m sorry. The owners here are down right rude and don’t care who sees or experience it. At least they don’t discriminate. All the customer’s are treated the same. That whole no seating until your entire party is there is so out of fashion. Especially when small children and elderly adults are involved. Get a grip. I’ve seen large groups get so pissed by this the leave. Can’t say I blame them. Way too many other restaurant’s in the area who won’t pull that soup Nazi bit on regular folks. But have to say. They have great pizza and salad.

I’ve been on kind of an Alibi kick lately, so I thought I’d write a review. The pizza has a slightly sweet crust and is of medium thickness, which I like. I’ve tried the french onion soup, which was pretty good. However, I’m not a fan of the breadsticks(but most of my friends enjoy them). The pizza can be a little inconsistent — I’ve picked up some pizzas that have had gigantic bubbles or are too well-done, but I’m OK with that. Most of the pizzas are really great. I’m not a huge fan of eating in the restaurant itself because it smells kind of musty, some of the wait staff seemed angry, and the silverware isn’t always the cleanest. Still, one of my favorite takeout pizzas!

My go to place for pizza… don’t get me wrong, when delivery is needed Jets is on my favorites screen. But for dine in or pick up… The Alibi is # 1 Crust with big puffy bubbles browned just right, Sauce sweet with a little tang, Toppings are very fresh… My favorites pepperoni, ham, onion and mushrooms. Lots of thick gooey cheese. Very busy hot spot in the evenings and weekends, so a little wait sometimes. Carryout has is own separate door on the back side for a quick in and out. My second favorite item is their antipasti salad with the house dressing. Diced ham, salami, mozzarella, black olives and peppers. All Good :)

Ordered a carryout at 9:45 on a Friday night, and it was ready by 10:00. The pizza was heavy with toppings, and was delicious. In the past I’ve been let down by Alibi, but today it was fantastic. The sauce was very good and the crust was chewy. Sometimes veggie pizzas can get soggy/soupy in the middle, but not this pizza! The price was average for a speciality pizza; $ 13.95. Overall, 5 stars Alibi-good job.

I have been here a handful of times and the food is decent, nothing spectacular, its pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads; and their management policies are crummy. First off they don’t take reservations even for large parties and the hostesses are rude and dismissive to talk to in person. Also regardless if the restaurant is busy or not they will not seat your party until every member has arrived, but they are very unaccommodating/patient if a member of your party is elderly or in a wheelchair. We were here this past Sunday for a family get together. I arrived early to make sure we could get a table that was wheelchair accessible, the hostess told me to let her know when everyone has arrived and she could seat us then. Once the rest of my family arrived we were seated by another hostess who then noticed that only 3 of the 5 people in are party were being seated. At this moment she started picking up the menus and made a snippy remark about the rest of party not being present. I proceeded to tell her that the 91 year old, WWII Pilot is a wheelchair and it takes some time to get him out the car but they will be right in. She wasn’t very understanding of this but allowed us to sit, all the while she stood hovering over our table making sure that the rest of party was actually going to arrive. Because of this unwelcoming environment that the hostess and management have created we will not be returning. Thank you.
