Target Optical

My husband had an eye exam here and got new glasses. He went in for his appointment and 3 days later he had his new glasses. Unreal! Great selection of frames. Super nice employees, and the doctor too, we were both very impressed!

Dr. Schultz and staff were great. The frame selection is smaller and they only have house brand lenses, but worth coming here just for the eye exam even if you get your glasses somewhere else.

What’s not to love? Dr Schultz was great. We laughed, we cried, and we even made fun of my giant melon. They only had one pair that fit my huge face so that made selection easy. Kim who helped me with frames was a hoot, a great gal. Very pleasurable experience overall. What a great find.

Target Optical is the best! Dr. Shultz was very nice and worked with me for about 45 minutes until she found a combination of lenses that worked with my eyes. The contact lenses were very difficult for me to get into but she was EXTREMELY PATIENT waited for me to stop freaking out and they finally got in there perfectly :-)
The girls who worked that day were so so nice too! They made sure I found frames that I liked and ensured that I got a great price for them too!
All in all I had a great experience here! I walked out with contacts, glasses AND prescription sunglasses, when I initially wanted only contacts! Way to up-​sell ladies!

Our experience here blew LensCrafters and any optometrist out of the water! We went in this morning pressed for time and unsure of how target would be in comparison to years of going elsewhere. We were in and out within 90 minutes for 3 appointments. Dr. Schultz was a total pleasure to deal with. Professional and in my opinion the best out there. Allison and Penny were fantastic! They handled the chaos of us needing to get my daughter out and three of us plus two others just hanging out with us with a smile. They were the nicest group of people!!! Price wise I didn’t find I saved much going here vs lens crafters but they didn’t try to upsale us on extras like every other place does. They were kind and patient and funny. Very nice to my youngest who would normally get frustrated trying something new like contacts instead of glasses but these women were patient and encouraging. She’s tried contacts before and gave up. She proudly walked out a contact user today. You all are fantastic. Thank you!!!

Dr. Melissa Kellogg Schultz is the best. I went there as an emergency, because my glasses broke. She got me right in and was very helpful. She is nice and friendly, and does a thorough eye exam that is consistent with any ophthalmologist I have ever been to. Overall I would highly recommend her as an eye doctor.

I work for a municipality and our optical coverage is minimal (and by minimal, I mean Co-​op Optical — don’t get me started on Co-​op). After having issue after issue with my contacts and prescriptions at Co-​op, I started looking around for a new place. A friend of mine is an optometrist in Lansing and she suggested a friend of hers from school, Dr Melissa Kellog Schultz. Come to find out — she’s the optometrist at Target at Maple and Coolidge (ok, I’ve been to Target a million times and never thought about going there for this). I found the doctor to be very approachable and informative. She was very helpful in every aspect of my visit.
The staff is highly professional and the price was right. They also run regular specials and have a nice variety of frames and services. Contact pricing is competitive (equal or less than 1800contacts)
I would definitely recommend them for your optical needs.
