In-Heat

Excellent customer service. Found water leaking onto the bed in our guest bedroom two days before our granddaughters were coming to visit. Called Jeff’s Roofing who came out right away. They found a rusted out and leaking furnace vent pipe in the attic that needed to be replaced. Called one highly rated furnace repair company and was told they were very busy and couldn’t get to me for over two weeks. Called another recommended company, they were nice, said they would call back, and never did.
With rain and snow in the forecast I went on Unilocal and called In-​Heat based on the three excellent reviews. The owner, Dave Thomas, was at our house within 30 minutes of my calling. He greeted me with a smile, handed me his business card, put on booties to keep our house clean and went into our attic. Dave diagnosed the problem as a leaking vent pipe cap and collar which had rusted out the vent pipe in the attic He checked the furnace and explained in detail what needed to be done, with a «not to exceed» estimate.
Dave, his uncle and his son came back the next day with all the parts needed to replace the vent pipe, cap and collar. They were friendly, professional and completed the job in three hours, under the estimate. They even painted the new vent pipe the correct color to keep the Tahoe Donner Architectural Standards office happy.
Dave insisted on coming back after the next big storm to go back up into the attic to make sure there are no leaks.
As I said, excellent customer service and i wouldn’t hesitate to use In-​Heat again or recommend them.

I contracted with In-​Heat to replace an old furnace in a recently purchased home in Truckee. Dave did the initial assessment and gave us good advice on selecting a replacement furnace. He also noted that our dryer was not venting properly (it was blowing into the crawl space) and he remedied that as well when he did the furnace installation. This is a family business and in the course of our project we met three generations. The entire team was professional, fast and clean (important because this was a very messy job!). Final bill was just as quoted in the estimate. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Best Contractor Experience I have ever had. The house was cleaner after they left then when they got there. New heat system is quiet and workmanship second to none. Job was done ahead of schedule and at the price as estimated.
