Otilia’s Cleaning Service

We’ve been using Otilia to have our family’s cabin cleaned since 2013.
At this point we must have used her over 100 times with the place being rented out on a weekly basis. She is always timely (which is very important for back to back rentals) and I’ve never been disappointed with how clean the house is.
Most importantly she also tells me if there are any problems or damages to the property from the tenants.
I would highly recommend Otilia to anyone looking for an honest, dependable, cleaning service in the greater Truckee area.

We hired this service for a major house cleaning and were highly disappointed in the quality of work.
To be more specific:
1. Food stains and fingerprints on all cabinets
2. 50% of floors seems to never be swept
3. Toilets with urine splashes around the base of the toilet and on the walls
4. Carpet under beds were filthy — never vacuumed
5. Generally items on surfaces were never moved and dusted under.
6. No window or door jams were cleaned
7. All light switches were still grimy and stained
Never planning on using this service again due to lack of quality and attention to detail. Cleaners should clean. The house should feel fresh and all visible surfaces should be free of grime of dirt — this was certainly not the case.

Otilia contacted me after the incident with the cord and told me that her employee confessed to vacuuming up the cord and throwing it away. She said she had been fired and wanted to offer me a free clean and to replace the cord.
I took her up on the free clean (had already replaced the cord) and when she came I showed her the items that annoyed me. She said she would be the one to come from now on if I continued with her.
She has come 2 times since then and has done an excellent job. So I appreciate her concern for customer satisfaction.
