Round Table Pizza

Two stars ONLY because they deliver. Otherwise. 1… Potentially the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. I ate part of the cardboard box it came in as a taste test. Too close to call… Seriously. How is it possible to make pizza this bad?
Please. Go out of business or make better food.

I was on a business trip during a snow storm and didn’t have 4WD on my vehicle, so I called for delivery. The guy the picked up the phone asked where I was staying and told me to go to the sandwich place across the street because their driver was backlogged with deliveries. Not only is this a horrible business practice, it totally turns me off from ever stepping foot anywhere close to this establishment. Stay away!

Always deliver late, on two separate occasions we did an online order and after it being thirty minutes late we call to check the status and they said sorry we don’t have a delivery driver tonight. A heads up would have been nice.

I do not blame the driver, I blame staffing and management. Here on business, starving when I get to my hotel. And I’m mad at myself for not venturing out and going to a restaurant,
I called at 3:30 for a pizza and some wings.
Was told they don’t have a driver until 5pm. I asked if I could place my order so that when the driver came in I would be first out. Placed my order was told 5−6pm .
Ok so 6:15 rolled around. I called again to check. Was told driver was on the road and should be here soon.
6:30 rolled around. I called again. Was told they would check. He was their best driver.
6:59 now I just received my order. Ice cold. But I’m at the point of so hungry I don’t care. I recommend pick up your self if your going to order from here.

Ordered online but the wait was twice as long as what was quoted and they forgot to give us our 2 liter soda. Unfortunately we didn’t realize this until after we’d left since we were picking the order up for our group. The bread sticks were inconsistent, some having far more cheese and others rather paltry in comparison. The pizza was very good if not overpriced. I’ve definitely had better for the same price. Aside from that, the place is a bit rundown but it has arcade games and board games which make it good for groups and families. I certainly wouldn’t come here though, even if I were a local.

Called from LA to surprise my mom at work and thank her for doing my taxes! They were so nice over the phone and did a surprise message inside the box without me asking! Great customer service goes along way! Wish I knew the girl that help me I would give her a shout out!

We arrived on a Friday night. I was surprised how quiet it was. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the salad bar and the pizza was really good. No complaints here!

Crappy service, and expensive pizza that tastes like it came out of a microwave.

Unfortunately I just left this location with a bad experience, my pizza was left waiting on top of the oven instead of having any if the 5 employees I saw doing nothing call our name to give it to us.
When we approached to ask a tall guy at the register what was taking so long, he carelessly gave us the pizza. Before we walked out I told this employee that we had been waiting for a while and that I had a baby that needs to be fed; he again didn’t care, made a disingenuous apology and a comment that he had told the crew already that we had waited.
If management reads this please let your staff know that there are better ways to handle this.
1. We were the only people in the restaurant, simple customer service courtesy; if you think you called us and we didn’t listen then walk our way and give me the pizza. (which by the way didn’t happen because I was carefully waiting for our name to be called so I could go home and feed my baby).
2. The restaurant is empty at diner time, at least take care of the 1 customer you had and be nice, a lack of care and instant blame to the customer has resulted in the loss of a client and most importantly in this bad review.

I gotta tell ya. Generally I’m not fan of chain restaurants whatsoever, but I will always make an exception for round table pizza.
Maybe it’s my childhood where I spent countless hours playing «the Simpsons» in the round table arcade. Maybe it’s the fact I can always opt for salami instead of pepperoni. Whatever the case, I’ve been a fan of this pie since 1987.
You might be laughing by now, but it’s all true. I will say that variance from store to store can range from a terrible pizza to something that makes me remarkably happy, but my experience with the Truckee location this evening was solid. Best part, I got 15% off by using the Unilocal app and ordering online.

Visiting Tahoe Donner for Thanksgiving & thought it would be nice to have a couple pizzas delivered. It’s Black Friday, so I assumed Round Table would be busy (they were our last choice of pizza, but the only people to answer the phone), so I ordered around 4:00pm for the pizzas to be delivered by 7:00pm.
This particular Round Table is 3 miles away, and they told me it was a $ 50 minimum (not including tips). I only ordered 2 large pizzas (one combo & one «half» sausage/​mushroom, half pepperoni — I put quotes around «half», because they only put mushroom and sausage on 3 slices, haha. Anyway, the total came out to $ 58. That seems a little high to me for 2 pizzas?
Well, 7:00 turned to 7:25pm…still no pizza. I got a phone call and the driver let me know he couldn’t find the address (the employee gave the driver the wrong address. I could tell he was frustrated).
Well, the pizzas were dry and cardboard-​like.
Terrible quality for almost $ 30 per pizza.
I wish I could give more stars, but I can’t. I definitely recommend calling other pizza places before Round Table.

So I choose to delivery and gave this place a chance. Was quoted 8:42 for the time of delivery which was perfect had no problem with the wait, but not only did it take an additional 30mins for it to get to me the pizza was also cold along with my wings. I expected a lot more for all the issues but of course no. Apparently the girl delivering the food was also taking 4 other orders and I get staff may be spread thin but I’m the customer it’s not my problem what issues you have and found it a little unprofessional for the supervisor to tell me all the problems they were having. I will never order here or associate with Round table pizza. The quality of the pizza was very poor and the vegetables I did order on the pizza were Raw not even cooked.

Hi I just order pizza from here. I received a call saying that there was no more artichoke and zucchini, so I asked for pineapple and extra mushrooms. I’m disappointed that the «extra» mushroom did not look extra. It looks more less than normal. I didn’t get my Unilocal 15% off either and I’m missing a slice of pizza.

Late night in Truckee the food options are slim. I decided to take my chances with the local roundtable, and ended up surprised at the amazing service, friendly staff and tasty food.
Kevin took great care of us, answered our questions about garlic-​parmesean twists, didn’t try to oversell us, and even put together paper plates, chili flakes and napkins so that we could eat our ‘za on the go.
Definitely came through for us, and the service will make sure we return.

Okay i am worried about these reviews. So i thought i would be optimistic. I am going there tonight for dinner. I expect it to be clean, pizza good and salad fresh. The staff is another matter. If bad i will check with manager. I will return all foods if not to par. We shall see

In a hotel STARVING tonight we ordered at 5:30 and were told at the longest it would be was 45min-​1hr for delivery. I called 1.5 hours later to be told the driver had already left. When I finally got my food (about 10min after I called back) my food was cold and hard. I called and was told they send the driver out with 3 – 4 orders at a time because it is so busy. They said it will take 20min to remake it and they wild have mine be the 1^st if not only stop plus a 10% discount. Again an hour later I called to follow up and the driver had just left (he was the person who answered the call). So over all it was almost 3 hours before I got food that was ok… still not super fresh. Worst pizza delivery ever! Wish I could give less than 1 star… can we add negative stars? Not to mention they seemed bothered that I called again… probably because they already had my money!

$ 31 for an XL King Arthur’s Supreme seems a little steep but ready for pick up in 10 minutes on a Saturday night was the deal maker. When I arrived, the place was busy but the folks behind the counter were very quick and courteous, more than happy to provide us with cups and plates upon request.
Will definitely come back next time we’re up here.

I had never had Round Table Pizza before coming and probably won’t visit another. Sure it was satisfactory at the time, i just know there are a lot better Pizza places out there. Our Tough Mudder team choose to place an order and pick up from here after doing the Tahoe course which they prepared for us in a little over an hour, not too bad.
4 Pizza’s, Garlic Twists and Chicken Wings = $ 123. Pizza’s were a little too doughy for my liking and the crust didn’t really have a great deal of flavor, toppings were plentiful though and the Garlic Twists which I practically inhaled had just the right amount of Garlic. Although after Running 12 miles, completing over 20 obstacles and not having eaten for almost 12 hours to be honest I could have probably eaten anything.
Good quick fix, noting special.

The chicken wings were ‘mehh’… Mediocre at best.

Let me preface this review with that this Round Table Pizza is open and not closed as other reviewers had mentioned. This Round Table Pizza is located in the same shopping center as a Safeway Grocery store and Panda Express.
My husband and I were staying at the Ritz Carlton Club (Northstar area) which happens 25 minute drive from Round Table Pizza. Placed our order in the restaurant. Customer service was friendly. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and small order of garlic cheese twists.
Everything was fresh and delicious. The pepperonis were on the slightly spicy side but they still tasted good. The pizza prices at Round Table are expensive for your run of the mill, fast fast food like pizza but it was fresh and service was friendly so its definitely worthy of 4 Unilocal stars.
*In low season (between the end of summer and snow season) many restaurants close early in the Truckee area with the exception of this Round Table Pizza*
