Sierra Tahoe Computers

The guys at this place saved my butt a few months ago. I’d just arrived in Truckee with a moribund, circa ’03 Dell Inspiron 5160. It needed a power source and battery, parts which my SD pc gearhead said were unavailable.
Timing was critical in that I had a huge legal assignment due and the laptop was simply dying every time I turned it on. I had tried to fix in San Diego before I left, but my schedule was bonkers and I’d been told the problem wasn’t fixable. I came to Truckee hoping that the laptop would last long enough for me to finish my assignment. It didn’t — what flickered in the Southwest terminal at Lindbergh went black in Truckee — and I was pretty desperate.
Sierra Tahoe Computer had the parts, plus an Enter key which I’d long given up on. Thanks to their inventory and spectacular customer service, I was out their door and into the sleet with a healthy laptop in under 30 minutes.
Reasonable price and they saved my sanity, laptop and GPA!
