Truckee Donner Community Recreation Center

My daughters been taking dance here for several years their new Facility is amazing and they have a great preschool program as well as an exercise center upstairs!!!

Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District does an amazing job of providing broad-​based affordable and community-​centered fitness and recreation options in an area that increasingly marginalizes people that aren’t in a gated community or housing development, where private fitness centers are the norm. The relatively new recreation facility offers not only a beautiful structure inside and out (check out the architectural features at the entrance like the massive water fountain with natural granite stones, Japanese-​style covered roof, and striking landscaping), but a highly functional, comfortable, and welcoming space for classes, fitness, child care, and sports camps. Their open gym has lunchtime pick-​up basketball games, and the fitness track above the gym has lots of machines, stretching areas and equipment, and free weights as well as a running track. The staff is always friendly and helpful with that laid-​back Truckee vibe. It’s fantastic to see the whole cross-​section of a small town enjoy and benefit from the hard work and vision of the TDPRD. Facilities available for residents and non-​residents alike.
