Very friendly, quick service(eat in or takeout), and great value for the large portions.

A little hard to spot alongside the road even when watching for it. Worth the stop though! The food came out in a reasonable time and was plentiful. We sat outside so didn’t go in, but I like outside on a nice day. Yes I would go back if in this area.

We were not impressed. The only thing that was good was the tamale. Nachos, chile verde, tacos all not good.

Okay the chips were very average. This is where the 2 stars come in… the salsa tasted like watered down ketchup with three pieces of onion and two leaves of cilantro thrown in. I almost left, but I decided to hang in there. I came for the halibut fish tacos which they now no longer serve. Instead I had the machaca burrito which was good beans and rice were also good.

Pleasantly surprised at this convenient and affordable Mexican restaurant. Food was very good but I think the Margaritas are either pre-made or packaged as they came too fast and were average at best. The Deep fried Ice cream will have us going back soon. This is a good little stop.

Nacho Mamas is right… This is Nacho Mamas cooking. The«crispy» tacos are made of shells that come from the grocery store. If I wanted tacos like that I would have made them at home. The beans had no flavor and the rice was bland. The shredded beef had way too much salt. My husband ordered tacos and there wasn’t an option for him to get them in a corn tortilla. The meat had no flavor at all. To top off the night the place was just way too expensive. The service was good and that’s what got the one star. If I could give negative stars I would.

Fun dive, clean, painted bright colors but very rustic and charming. The food is pretty good. The servers are professional and competent. A nostalgic and fun place to eat. I make sure I pop in whenever I come to town.

Only gave it one star because I couldn’t give it zero! We should have known by the name. No authentic Mexican restaurant would ever be that campy! Anyhow. Went there this evening with the family. Actually my husband was drawn in by the name. Lol! He was amused. We sat outside where there was only one waitress. She was being run ragged. We waited about 15 minutes to have our order taken and another 30. For our food to actually arrive. My daughters ordered simple Bean, Cheese and Rice Burritos which are as basic as you can get. I had Chicken Flautas and a Strawberry Margherita and my husband had a Beef Chimichonga with refried beans on the side. When out food finally hit the table it was a sad sad tale. The burritos were cold. Nothing on the plate was even warm. They were cold! Cold all the way through! The wet sauce on top was even cold. Can you say Nasty?! The flauta on my plate was warm because it had been fried but the rice was cold as hell. Cold Spanish rice? What the heck? My husbands chimi was also warm because it was fried also but his refried beans were cold! Cold refried beans? Good lord! Needless to say we were starving and it was 9pm so we pathetically«tried» and I mean that loosely to choke some down. The margherita even sucked! It tasted like one of those pre made ones out of a can. I can honestly say Taco Bell would’ve been better. No joke! Do not waste your time or money here! We already took the bullet for you! Chuckle at the name and keep on driving. Your stomach and wallet will thank you. Yuck!!!

The cilantro shrimp here is to DIEFOR! As good as you’ll ever find it… If you can. Love this little hole-in-the-wall!

Ordered a chicken taco and a strawberry margarita and was beyond not only disappointed but grossed out. The taco had a terrible taste alongside with no seasoning. I couldnt bring myself to eat more than a bite. My margarita was made so poorly it was almost undrinkable. Had to ask for a side of their margarita mix which also had hardly any flavor. Do not spend a cent here. Back in the day this place was delish, what happened?

I ate lunch there. I was greeted promptly with a smiling face, and giving chips and salsa. I ordered one of the specials(enchiladas, rice, beans, drink). I didn’t even finish the chips and my food had arrived with hot sauce that I requested. Food was really tasty! I got a drink to go and I was out of there in probably 30 min. Great experience and I will be back

We’ve not eaten here in years and I was interested to see if anything had changed. The service is still prompt and pleasant, but our orders did not compare favorably with other Mexican restaurants in the area. The Margaritas were diluted and served in plastic beverage glasses. The price and flavor of our selections did not compare favorably with other restaurants nearby. Briefly, the dining experience here has not evolved to effectively complete in terms of price or quality, and that surprised me. I cannot enthusiastically recommend it.

One star because the $ 7 house margarita was good. However the food was not that good. I ordered a burrito and my partner an enchilada plate — our items looked the same — my burrito looked like his enchiladas — nothing different just covered in different sauce. Nothing special. We know authentic Mexican food(me being Mexican and growing up on the food) and I would rate the level of Mexican food a 2⁄5. There were also two pubes found during our service. One in my husbands lime in his margarita and the other on his enchilada plate. We will not be returning.

We go a couple times a month and they know our drink orders by now. I have been to Mexico over a dozen times and this is the most authentic food I’ve found in the Tigard/Sherwood/Tualatin area. Good prices, delicious food and upbeat atmosphere. I have never had a meal here I didn’t like and who can resist fresh chips and salsa? Outdoor or indoor seating and typically there isn’t a wait. If you want a light meal pick 2 tacos or something heavier the mole burrito is divine. Enjoy!

Yummy salsa, margaritas, rice and tamales! We ate on the patio, had friendly service and enjoyed the nice nite out. While we have our favorite Mexican food in Sherwood, we will still be back here :)

Not gonna lie… pretty good and reasonably priced. Came in here Sunday afternoon. Server was nice, food was good and we all left full. I had the Al Pastor, Lengua, and tilapia tacos. Salsa was mediocre but We all would go back. The setting isnt horrible if you can imagine the sounds of the cars on 99 are the pacific ocean instead of a highway then you are golden. Good margaritas too!

Yesterday March 10, 2015 was my 25th birthday. So my wife and I decided to come here for lunch. This was our first time here. Worst customer service ever! There were two hairs in wife’s food, she plucked two out of her plate and threw them on the floor. I told the waiter/bartender and he came and inspected the plate, and began arguing with me about it. He then brought the cook out to show me, he had short hair. And then the cook starts arguing with me!(How freaking professional) at the end he brings me out the bill and only took $ 3 off my bill. It should have been removed completely! Come on… It was my birthday plus our first time coming in! And we told them. As for the food… It was poor quality, beans were from a can, shredded cheese was from like a grocery store. Not even Mexican quality.(Yes I am Mexican so I’d know) the quality of this place was poor. Probably same quality as Taco Bell only difference was that nacho mamas serves food on a plate. NEVEREATINGHEREAGAIN!

Always drive by this place on pacific highway and told it was good. The inside is festive and fun, authentic looking establishment. We came on a Sunday and it was pretty empty save for a few groups. We were really hankering for some carne asada fries(not very authentic i know), but sadly they did not serve that. We decided to have the chorizo egg burrito plate and shared that. It came with a side of refried beans and spanish rice. It was quite delicious there was something unique in the red sauce on the burrito. The eggs were nice and fluffy and the fat from the chorizo with it was goooood. The meal also came with chips and salsa as well. I love trying different hot sauces when getting mexican and the red sauce was really good, i do wish there were some other house made sauces i could have dashed on there. There was a bottle of tapitio on the table which worked. All in all a good experience, may need to drop by this place on the way to the beach if im ever heading out on pacific highway again!
