Alohaaaaa! This place isn’t fancy. As a matter of fact, it could be considered a «hole in the wall.» But when I think about Roxy’s, 3 words come to mind. DELICIOUS, AUTHENTIC, MMMMMM. I always feel like I walk right out of Oregon and onto Maui. Mac salad is . Love the teri chicken too. I’ve ever been disappointed here.

I love this restaurant. I stayed in the hotel across the pond while visiting Oregon and decided to walk in for dinner. The staff was really polite and the wait wasn’t bad. The food is delicious and there’s always enough for leftovers. Now that I live here I try to make it in once every few weeks or so.

This is not the fanciest place but I’d rather had excellent food at a decent price and live with the oval paper plates and basic tables & seats! I dislike their small plastic forks but maybe this is good so that I can savor the food rather than my usual shoveling… it’s probably strategic on their part… yeah. I like that every time I go they offer you samples. I like variety so getting any dish ½ and ½(except loco moco) is the way to go. ALL their meals are yummy so just depends my mood. I came at 7:45 pm and even though they close at 8 pm they were still serving everything, which was awesome. Having just heard of someone going to Hawaii for the holiday, my party of 3 got the craving for Hawaiian food… and Roxy’s totally made up for our jealousy!

It was my fist time here. My cousin brought me here. Food was great! Probably the best teriyaki chicken in town. Staff is friendly. Great ambiance outside. They need more outdoor seating.

Here’s my experience for the first time coming to this location. There was a gentleman ordering ahead of me. He ordered ate his food and left within 15 min. I ordered right after him. I ordered the teriyaki beef, so I knew that this the plate they have to cook up since this not in the warmers like their soju chicken. However as I sat there waiting for my food to go, I saw another lady come in order and got 4 items filled and gone. While I sat there waiting heard teriyaki beef called up, so I knew my food was coming… however, I watched as the lady spooned rice into a container and hold there as she continued to chat with another employee or patron. So for the few minutes she chatted with him, the were talking right over my rice exposed to their spittle. Then she finally scooped the macaroni into the container and put it on the cook counter for the chef to put the beef in. Now this is where I really got upset, I saw the lid get closed and still it sat at the cook’s counter for 5 minutes as she loaded two more plates for another couple and delivered to their table. The counter girl that took my order came from break or and took someone’s else’s order. As she chatted with the customer for another minute or 2, I finally got up to the counter and asked where is my teriyaki beef order. She turned around looked at the only container on the counter and said there it is. And packed my stuff up. I was livid and just walked out with my food. Now, I’ve been to the one on walker Rd before and they have always been awesome. This place got me so upset that I can’t even enjoy the food I got. So word to the wise, if you aren’t in a rush and like your special order cold, then this is the place. I never write reviews, but the blatant unprofessional manner that they were handling my order can only deserve a 1 star. And to think after I got my change I gave them a dollar tip. I will never give tip pre pickup again.

The best Mac salad ever! Only bad thing is they don’t really stick to their hours, so call ahead before making the drive. Love the location on the lake. Teriyaki chicken is my fave!

I can’t say anything bad about this place. They are fast and the lunch is $ 7. So filling and the mac salad is amazing.

Super friendly staff and such a cute little place to get great portions for a great price. I had the Shoyu chicken with one side rice, one side veggies, and one side macaroni salad, all equally delish! Also super nice to be able to eat on the waterfront on a beautiful summer evening. I will be back!

This place is extremely authentic and I love it! I was just on the Big Island a month ago and I am having flashbacks caused by the sweet Shoyu chicken.

This gets my legit rating. It’s not amazing, but it’s always satisfying. The Macaroni salad(crack Mack) has real pieces of crack in it(I’m pretty sure) as it is very addicting, although I will not be seeking treatment anytime soon. I’ve been on a Kalbi beef short rib kick lately– give it a shot– get two scoops of crack Mack– you have to ask for it or else they’ll give you two scoops of rice and one of the Mac.

First time here. Generally love Hawaiian food but this place appeared kinda dirty and very run down. I bet these folks are paying big bucks for this location on the«lake» and they should really have the landlord fix it up a bit. The water was in a big bucket and you had to dip your glass in the bucket to get a glass of water. Really? I found myself hoping that everyone had washed their hands really well before they scooped out their glass of water. Geez folks, go to Costco and get one or two of those nice dispensers with the spigots for water and maybe tea. I get the plasticware and paper plates, plate lunch style in Hawaii! The service was good, people were nice but the food(pineapple chicken) was way overdone and tough. I don’t think we’d really go back at this point.

I crave this place. It can be hit or miss with staff friendliness, but ultimately who cares when I have a container filled with sticky rice and chicken, sweet teriyaki sauce and red hot sauce all over the top. Don’t forget a scoop of mac salad on the side. The whole family loves it here– which means mama’s real happy. Its a great place to come and eat outside when the weather is nice, too.

Loooveeeee their mac salad. Hands down my favorite. I have a friend who works here! & he introduced me to this place, and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. My favorite is probably the shoyu chicken & the teri beef! It’s super delicious. Must try!

The food looks intriguing, but why must a bricks-and-mortar establishment use paper plates and plastic utensils? That’s a big turnoff. Hopefully, they’ll upgrade that soon.

This was our first time at Roxy’s and it was delicious! When we first walked in we were greeted and then offered plenty of samples(every single one was good). I ordered the kahlua pork and a chicken that the name is escaping from me. My boyfriend had the garlic chicken and pineapple chicken which I tried also and were amazing! Huge portions, neither of us could finish our plates and are now looking forward to yummy leftovers!

Wow, talk about tacky. the hawaiian themed music gave me a headache and the customer service was eh. Staff did not represent themselves as professional at all, the cook in the back had headphones hanging out of his shirt and my cashier just seemed like he wanted to get everything done asap and get on with the rest of his day. Food was mediocre but decent pricing.

I was born in Hawaii and go back to see my family when I can. I have been to several Hawaiian food places here in Oregon and Roxies is the best! It’s so authentic that I even took my parents who are from Hawai’i and they fell in love! The people that work there are always so friendly and sweet, if you go on a regular basis they even remember your face :). Such a great place with an ‘ohana feeling!

Roxy remains, hands down, my favorite Hawaiian food anywhere. Yes, the service can be occasionally spotty, usually when they are busy or as I was faced with on my last trip, a newbie training at the cash register. But the food… the mere anticipation of my order, simply made me so happy that I didn’t mind any minor problems. I just smiled at him and said«It’s fine,» when he apologized for messing up accidentally. Heck, my anticipation was such that I slurred and mangled my order so badly that I’m impressed that he got it that right in the first place. My go to dish is the Sweet Garlic Chicken with Terayaki Chicken(combo meal) and green salad to replace the Mac Salad.(I hear the Mac salad is awesome, but an unfortunate picnic accident as a kid has left me scarred when it comes to Mac Salad.) Unlike many places that might do one or two items really awesome, one or two good items, and then a half dozen mediocre items, everything at Roxy’s is «the best around.» I’ll occasionally go for the Shoyu Chicken or the Kailua Pork when the mood strikes. I’ve tried everything on the menu at one time or another(except for the Mac salad of course,) and have found everything to be consistently excellent. The only problem I have is that this location has consistently bad parking. It’s hard to find a spot in the parking lot due to all the other restaurants nearby, and the fact that it’s part of a mixed use office complex around the lake. But really, this place is «WooHoo! As good as it gets!»

I really wanted to like this place. Somewhere close by to pick up food… The Shoyu chicken was pretty good. 4 stars. Soft, good strong flavors. Mainly soy sauce and ginger. Had several other dishes which were not so good. Katsu chicken was no so good. Soggy, not crispy. 2 stars. It might be because we ate it 30 minutes after it was cooked and the steam from the rice int he same container might have dampened the container. The? kalbi chicken? also was not so good 2 stars. The mac salad was also a bit disappointing. 3 stars. Expected more from the reviews. Also disappointed they don’t do kalbi ribs anymore… supposedly the cost is rising and prohibitive to them selling it. The loco moco was ok. Decent but nothing special. 3 stars.
