This Roxy’s location always has issues — always out of something. Don’t tell people it takes 15 minutes to cook something when that is the normal time it takes to cook it. Tables always dirty. Food isn’t quite as good as other locations. Don’t go to this one — you will surely be disappointed.

We ordered the sweet garlic chicken and it was a bit dry. Without having to ask about it, the waitress informed us that she noticed it was dry and they would make a whole new batch for us !! Great food and awesome customer service

I love eating here! The food is always amazing and the price you just can’t beat! One meal there usually lasts me 2 dinners! And all for around 7 dollars! The people are always friendly and caring about their customers. My favorite thing is the shoyu chicken.

I wish this location was more like the one on Cedar Hills. The food is not as good and the service is subpar. The quality if the meat is not comparable to the other location and the flavors of the various meats is just not their either.

The customer service here is the worst of any of the locations. I enjoy the food but rarely go because of the service. Tonight my husband received his food about 15 minutes prior to me and we didn’t even get an apology when I then had to ask for my food to go. Really disappointed in the lack of customer service skills.

I used to go to the Roxy’s off of Walker when it first opened and the plate lunches were like, $ 3.00. So glad to hear that they’ve expanded! Delicious garlic chicken and awesome service!

I’ve been a pretty faithful customer since Roxy’s first opened and enjoy eating here often. However, my last visit had me feeling very disappointed in how they treated me. I ordered the Loco Moco during a busy hour and waited my turn. I received my order, went home, and started to eat my meal. To my surprise, I bit into a very, very burnt burger patty. I kept trying to eat it only to find it completely inedible. I proceeded to head back to Roxy’s and I asked them to do my order over again. They were completely fine with it and queued up my order. My only issue was that they placed my order after every single order that was there before mine. The reason I had an issue was that I waited through the orders before and felt that since they fudged up my order and inconvenienced me, they should fix mine first since I had already waited beforehand just to receive something I couldn’t eat. After addressing my issue, their cashier insisted that I have to wait since those customers have been waiting and are of higher priority than me. He then offered a refund which I took because I didn’t want to argue but now have no food to eat and a reduced desire to come back. Yikes.

I have gone to the Roxy’s in Tualatin for years and love it. I was excited to see that one was opened by my house. We ordered 4 teriyaki chickens for take out. When we got home at least half of the chicken in each order was charred black and unedible. Even the dog wouldn’t eat it it was so burnt. A HUGE disappointment and waste of money.

This is for the new location on tv hwy. I got the loco moco last night and it gave me hella diarrhea. way too much mayo in the mac salad and they drowned the rice in gravy. Not a good experience. My wife got the galbi short rib and it was decent. so I’ll give 2 stars…

My daughter drug me to this place. I knew little about it before my visit, and now that I have been, I will return. Moko Loco, done right, is hard to find, outside of Hawaii. Roxy’s got it right. The prices are fair and the portions large. My daughter loves their rice, which for rice, is decent. I have not tried their teriyaki, but what I have had and have seen going out, it all looks good. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Pineapple chicken is my life. Get 2 scoops of Mac and 1 scoop rice if you’re really about it

You go for the awesome delicious food, not for the speedy service. And I’m not hating on how long it can take to make my food, because I’ve never had a bad plate there. Just don’t go if you’re starvin like Marvin because you may get«hangry». I think we’re pretty lucky to have this spot over here. Good flavors, good portions, good prices when I don’t feel like cooking.

I used to live in Hawaii and I was hoping to get the sane food they make in hawaii… But. The food is crap and doesn’t taste anything like the way the true Hawaiian locals make it in kauai… I couldn’t even finish it I was so bummed out. From the macaroni to noodles to the chicken. All of it isn’t that good. I will never go back there again. They were stingy on how much to serve and customer service sucked. I would recommend kauai island grill if you want the real deal.

The restaurant is very clean, the food was good, the customer service is the reason for 2 stars. We showed up for a quick dinner about 5:50. Ordered something simple we thought– two of their regular combo meals, we paid and waited. While we waited a guy came in, ordered something modified off the menu to go. Within minutes he has his meal and is out the door. I thought well, that’s probably normal– they must want to get the to go orders in and out. Okay, no biggie. We’re still waiting and two more guys come in to order. They both place their orders, one receives his food within minutes the other one says he has to run out to his car and the employee says but I just need to scoop your food, it’ll only take a second… He leaves for a minute insisting it’s okay. While all of this is going on we’re STILL waiting for our food. Finally it shows up. It’s what we had wanted, but it’s about 6:10 at this point. 15 – 20 minutes isn’t a terrible wait, but having all these people served before us was dumb. Was it because the employees were too busy flirting with each other and the male customers? Who knows, but I know that we won’t be going back, ever.

Messy and inconsistent. While the food is typical Hawaiian– salty, greasy, huge portions, you’ll wish that they are consistent with what they serve and how they preserve the quality of their food. The Shoyu chicken is tasty at best. The quality of the meat is questionable. I’ve had one where I went on an instant diet. –you know what I mean. The ribs? They are decent but they run out of it quite fast. The way you package your to-go food could use some organization. I know that they will all get mixed inside our stomach but if you can kindly separate the mac from my rice and meat that will be great. It looks disgusting after a short road trip from your kitchen to my dinner table. I wish there’s a place that will rival you so I can go there. It is my comfort food.

disappointing, embarrassing, and expensive… OK so 2 Years ago I started cutting carbs in my diet so when I was working at a massage place in. Murray hill, I would eat locally… One of my coworkers went there and got the shoyu chicken meal and it smelled so good I decided to get some for my lunch! went in and asked if I could just get the meat no rice or potato salad… said they could probably do that… asked the manager how much to charge and he said $ 4 I said that was fair(as the meal cost $ 7). toward the end of the year it went to $ 4.25…long story short, next year went to $ 4.50 then 4.75…didn’t like that but the food was so good, tasted great, and they heaped up the chicken high in the plastic boat, i only mentioned the price increasing a couple times… …then noticed over the last year the price going up again… THEN… portions getting noticeably smaller… esp with the garlic chicken(didn’t even cover the bottom of the container)… Today I go in and the shoyu side has once again increased price to $ 5.50(the dinner is still $ 7!!) yikes! made me reconsider, but i did it anyway… and not only does the girl butcher my name when calling me(how do u butcher nichole?!) but she and another girl burst out laughing hysterically at her pronunciation! I hurried out as fast as I could, then, To top it off I get it home, uncover it. the shoyu doesn’t reach the rim of the container and its grilled chicken chunks with shoyu sauce drizzled on top… NOTSHOYU which marinates for hours in the sauce till its all fallen apart… what the heck!!! now I am totally turned off Roxy’s and telling everyone I know to not go there, if I could have given negative stars that what you would have gotten. NEVERAGAIN!

My favorite takeout spot! Great prices and portions! Staff is really friendly! Food can be greasy at times, but I can’t get enough of their shoyu chicken and Mac salad! My only complaints is sometimes they run out of my favorite dishes and they close at 8pm!

Well, maybe cause they were new, my last review was two stars, but while I was eating here today(yeah that’s me) I really feel that they’ve got their chit down pat now. My guilt while enjoying very affordable keiki(smaller ‘kids’ portion) I have to admit that the warm and soothing to my stomach shoyu chicken — generous even in the $ 5 size was needing an update. Love the island music, super chill(dine in ya work out clothes sista) was just what I was craving. You know, important t to recognize when things improve amd they have. Love my island plate lunch food @ a great price. Hang loose and give it a try for a few bucks.

When this place is great, they hit it out of the park. And they have their off days… and when that happens, it doesn’t even deserve a star. It seems most of their off days happen when I take my food to-go on my lunch break because at that point I can’t send it back. Check your to-go orders because it’s like at a drive-thru where the one time you don’t check is when they completely mess up your order. The spam musubi is to die for when it’s fresh. One time they gave me an old one and the rice was completely dried out and crusty like it was sitting out overnight. Had to toss that one in the trash as it was inedible. Damn shame. The shoyu chicken is awesome when it’s not overcooked and dried out. The pork abodu special is another favorite. I didn’t really care for the sweet garlic or teriyaki chicken. The kalbi ribs are not always available, so it’s an exciting treat when they have it. The juices from the kalbi flavors the white rice perfectly. And I always substitute one of the rice balls for the mac. It’s worth the extra 50 cents easily. Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambiance: 3 Value: 5 Penalty: –1 for inconsistency TL;DR: Big highs and lows, double-check your to-go order
