We were seated on a Friday evening at about 6:00 pm and waited 15 minutes for server to even acknowledge that we were there. Food was served quickly, quality was fair to bad, veggie dinner not good at all. We won’t be back.

Let me start by saying I love papis food! Always deliver good food when you get it. With that being said the last two times I’ve visited this location the service has been below poor. I watched two couples walk in and not even get greeted at the door for at least 5 minutes. I have frequently visited this location and they always seem to be under staffed. As I stated before the food is always on point the service is just way below what standards should be.

Price: SO worth every penny. So much food for the price. Food: Amazing. Flavorful and juicy. We had a ton of meats and they were sooooo flavorful. Even chicken Service: I was really impressed by the server. We orders 4 different entrees, each with special requests. He remembered EVERYTHING.

I always pass this place on the way to Walmart so I decided to stop in today. Started out good enough. Our waiter was nice. Maybe 3 or 4 tables were there so almost empty. Took 15 minutes to just get my drink. Then took forever for our waiter to come back and take our order. I ordered the surf and turf. I wanted my steak well done. When I got it, it was this skinny small piece of steak that was pink! So I let my waiter know it was not well done so took it back to the kitchen. 5 min later beef jerky came back. I asked for a manager. And she had a steak out in 15 min. Keep in mind my family is already done with their food so I had my steak packed to go. The manager refused to take something off my check for all my inconvenience. Which is not good customer service! So I won’t be doing this place again.

Pretty racist vibe. My mother, sister, and I were seated alone on the left side of the restaurant while all other patrons were seated on the right side. This continued until we left. We will not be coming here again nor will we recommend this restaurant. Be warned that this place has double standards!

Such a great atmosphere, The servers are helpful to people who are new to Cuban food. The portions are enough to split. Great place!

Sooooo weak compared to the Midtown location. I gave it 3 tries with 3 different menu items… and I was disappointed each time. I would definitely recommend the Midtown(the original) location if you’re looking for some great Cuban food.

Really good Cuban food at decent prices. The vaca frita with congris is really, really good and full of flavor. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly. Mohitos are the best in Atlanta.

This restaurant is great. It is small and intimate. There is even a man who plays a guitar while you eat. It is kid friendly although I’d go here more so for a date. The food is Buenos. I took a group of friends with me and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Even the drinks are good. Also, the prices aren’t too bad. You get what you pay for which is a nice size plate, good customer service, and live music. They also have lunch specials. The restaurant is clean, and parking is free seeing that this place is at the beginning of a plaza.

I agree with all the other reviews. This is a great Cuban Restaurant. When Las Palmas closed we had been searching for another good Cuban Restaurant. The only time we could get good Cuban food is in Miami. Papi’s is all things Cuban, prices are great, service great and the Sangria is wonderful. I took my phone out to take a picture but the food look so good I forgot.

This was my first Jamaican/puerto ricin food experience! My friends brought me here and I’m always down to try something new. It’s a nice place to eat! Nothing too fancy, it looks like a family joint. First I’ll say, the service was excellent. She was attentive and had everything out quick. She had her favorites that helped me order because everything looked delicious. It was around 11 – 14 $ per plate and there were a few specials. I had a delicious mango shake with a chicken and rice dish with fried plantains and black beans. The chicken was delicious and so was the rice. The milkshake could use a little more flavor but I still had a hard time not drinking it all at once. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would recommend it!

Food and service is always consistent here. Haven’t had a problem with my order yet. I just wish they were open late. Oh yeah bartenders here are great too.

This is a very comfortable place. We have eaten here once before and returned for lunch. Hostess and waitress were incredibly kind without being overwhelming. I ordered the Reys Cuban plus black beans and rice. We had the ham croquetas as an appetizer. Well, they were nothing I would order again and the sauce served with them is like pure garlic liquid in mayo. Too much and we love garlic. The sandwich was good but the black beans were nothing special. Seems to depend on what you order, some things are bland and others are over the top. I like the place but I have had better Cuban food in Atlanta.

I love Cuban food. It’s my favorite and I could probably eat it for the rest of my life. With that being said, I couldn’t eat Papi’s for the rest of my life, but it’s not terrible for Cuban food in Georgia. We have each ordered the Cuban Sandwich a few times a long with a few other dishes, both dining in and carrying out. The last time we came here we noticed a low B score with lots of marks against them. We still decided to order but the sandwiches weren’t as good as they were before. The meat has no taste, some of the condiments of a basic Cuban Sandwich were missing and the Guava Pastry I got was hard and pretty gross. The difference in price for a Cuban sandwich with fries or black beans and rice is a little ridiculous so generally we just order the sandwich… the rice is always mushy anyways. I also asked for Cuban bread as a side once and I got a normal piece of bread toasted… not sure why but okay? I didn’t want to pay for normal bread… I wanted Cuban bread… that’s why I came to a CUBAN restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are always nice here, but it can be slow when you dine in. If you’re in the mood for Cuban and you see their health score rise, I would try it… but with a low score, I wouldn’t risk it.

Growing up in south Florida I had plenty of friends from all over the Caribbean. That meant getting invited over for awesome dinners. Papi’s reminds me of all the GREAT Cuban food I had growing up. The price is incredible for the amount of food you get, and the service was spot on. This is the closest thing to heading down to Little Havana. Papi’s is a chain that retains the authenticity of Cuban food. We’ll definitely be back.

After passing this location so many times after church, we decided to give it a try. I believe there is at least one other location in Midtown. This location is connected to a Kroger and various other small restaurants and shops. It was pouring rain and we ran through deep puddles to enter the restaurant. The parking lot was directly across the street. We were seated immediately. Not many patrons were in the restaurant, but we still had a small wait to order. I ordered a latte to warm myself up after running through that cold rain. I ordered from the lunch special menu, the jerk chicken, which came with a salad and black beans, yellow rice, two plantain slices, and a roll of bread, which I didn’t partake in. All for $ 9.99! The jerk chicken was way too dry, but the flavors were amazing. I like the yellow rice, too. No matter where I get yellow rice from, I always feel inspired to get my own to cook for myself, and then I never do. Overall the meal is not bad, but not great enough to come back often for. The weekend and lunch specials are a good bang for your buck, for sure!

Interieur anfangs eher schlicht und Umgebung nicht besonders einladend. Service jedoch sehr gut und speisen sehr authentisch. Für Leute die gerne kubanisches essen ausprobieren möchten definitiv eine Empfehlung.

My first time at this place and I have to see my boyfriend and I really enjoyed it. I got the Jerk Chicken which was nice and spicy. It came with yellow rice, black beans, side salad and the bonus plantains which were really sweet and delicious. The meal was very filling. My boyfriend had a dish that was a take on chicken parmesan. I do not remember that name but his dish was cleaned so I know he enjoyed his dish. Thumbs up!

Papi’s is a chain restaurant. There are several of them in Atlanta. Had lunch here and order their lunch special at $ 7. I had their ropa vieja lunch special and it was good. The flavored rice was tasty indeed. The ropa vieja was good, but i thought could have been smokier. Decent lunch portion. Kids had their cuban sandwich and it looks awesome. Since the kids ate in silence and inhale their sandwich with heads a bobbin. i think it was a sign of deliciousnesss. It certainly looked awesome. Nice crispy bread and packed with juicy ham. The layout of the restaurant is island style. Gives of a very relaxed vibe. They have a covered patio too and lots of folks out there. I think this could be a hot spot for dinner.
