I’m a pretty hardened bike commuter/​distance cyclist. The only thing I really don’t do is true wheels. I took two wheels into Snyders and the owner, Seth, trued them up. He used a tension meter on my spokes and I trusted his assessment of my wheels. I’ll definitely go back there for service.

I can’t tell you how much I love these guys. They took the time to walk me thought all the little things about my bike, even thought I didn’t buy my bike from them. I would have but the one I wanted was used and from 2008. I was lucky to find it online, but they set that thing up! I’d never had disc brakes before, so they taught me all about those. They taught me all about my new shock, and went out of their way to take care of me. I’ve already gone back 3 times for various other things including my other bike which they take care of now too. Can’t say enough nice things about this place. So glad to have them in the hood.

So after breaking a spoke, I sought to gain some knowledge and repairs. Finding someone how specializes in wheel building and frame building is becoming increasingly rare. Seth not only fixed it there on the spot, but also looked at another issue I was having with my bike.

Seth is one of the best bike mechanics in the city. He understands the engineering behind the bike and its components and he thinks through the problem before fixing it. I trust him implicitly.
He is also a master wheel builder. You might pay a little more than a store bought, mass-​produced pair of wheels but he stands behind his work and uses quality components. My wife loves her Snyder Custom Wheels.
