went there a couple of weeks ago with my wife and 2 other couples. One of the husbands in the group was wearing a small Christiian necklace. Upon entering he was told to remove the necklace because it was offensive.(For the record I’m not sure if the person worked there or was just a patron) My freind refused. When my friend went to the restroom, he was followed in and confronted again. A fight occurred and the police were called. The staff did not help us, they were rude to us and asked US to leave. If you happen to be a Christian, I’d think twice before going there. BTW — we’re not a bunch of holy rolling bible thumpers… Just regular folks who’s sole issue was a small Christian necklace.

this place is great if you like classic dive bars you’ll fall for this one ! the outside is a little scary(the way a dive bar is supposed to look) ! fight off those Friday the 13th paranoid delusions reach down grab your balls give a little squeeze and step in the front door ! Once in you can relax the food is good the beer is cold and the people will deffinately make you feel warm and fuzzy(well that’s a stretch) but they will welcome you and make you feel at home. Every Wednesday night they have an open jam session with ton hill and the midnight sunz(country rock blues maybe some bluegrass) so bring your guitar if you got one or your music weapon of choice! This is the worst place I’ve ever been! From outside it looks like a abandon chicken farm or something like that. There’s no light or a decent parking. As soon you park you’ll see a crowd of rats, a lot of them(I saw at least 10) walking around the parking lot. There’s no security or anybody at the door. The people were 40+The furniture was pretty much improvised pieces of wood. I was there for 3 minutes and ran away afterwards.

The Other Bar is the name of what was formerly the Tucker Saloon. Here, you will find the best Karaōke in the metro area! Seriously. Fridays and Saturdays… it starts at 9pm(I believe) and both times I’ve gone they were still going when I left after 3am!!! DONOT be put off by the very sketchy-looking exterior(and interior too I suppose). This is a very diverse crowd that comes here, and everyone is welcome. Their liquor selection seems pretty weak so unless you like something very common or you are a beer drinker, you may want to stick to, well, something very common or beer. :) I don’t think they serve food, and if they did, I’m not sure I would want to eat it. But that’s okay by me. Its a dive bar, not a five-star restaurant. They allow smoking inside but the ceilings in the back room are very tall, so the smoke is not as bad as it otherwise could be. But as far as the karaōke goes… the guys running the show have a wholly computerized system where you can search by title or artist(no huge books to contend with!) which contains an amazing array of songs, and the DJ cycles through the songs quickly. You even sign up on the computer too! There’s a wide range of skill levels up there singing so you don’t need to be shy about just going up there and giving it your all :) If you and your friends want to try a karaōke show, GOHERE.
