Good beer, good food, great service! Not a great fan of the parking situation(1 hour parking, all we found) but thats what happens downtown/UofA area. We came in with some friends and all of us enjoyed our time. Everyone enjoyed the rolling chairs and dive atmosphere. We ordered the hop bread, its exactly as it says, cheese bread with hops on top. It was good, but if you are not into hops, this isn’t for you. We also got a 14″ Romano pizza, it was enough to feed 4 people! Didn’t realize, and the slices could also be split into two! It really just depends on how much you want to each, that 14″ pizza was amazing! Everyone enjoyed the large and quick up to date beer list(updated while we were there), we all appreciated and enjoyed our time. Would definitely go back!

The pizza isn’t the best, but it’s still very good. And as other reviewers have noted, you get a lot of it. And while I love how many beers they have, my main issue with 1702 is that most of the options are IPAs. While I enjoy a beer that has an astronomical IBU as much as the next guy, sometimes I want something a bit more mellow. If you’re trying to find a decent Amber, it can feel like you’re playing Where’s Waldo with the beer list. With that said, it’s a great place to hang out and grab some food with some friends. If you haven’t been and you like either pizza or beer, you owe it to yourself to stop in.

Love this place! While the pizza is really only about a 3-star quality, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and overall kick-ass vibe to the place – ESPECIALLYTHEBEERENORMOUSBEERSELECTION – is worthy of much more praise. Have been to 1702 a few times and always leave happy – probably because of the gigantic slices of pizza they serve. For $ 5 you can get a slice of cheese and add additional toppings for $ 1 each. On Sundays, they have all-day happy hour(I think) which gets you a few bucks off your beer as well. I highly recommend them if you need fill a pizza urge and grab some great beers while you’re there. Did I mention they BREW their own beers? I had the Black IPA and it was outstanding. Keep up the great work, 1702!

I love pizza and this place was awesome! I got the Buffalo Chicken slice and it’s honestly big enough to share! My boyfriend got the Caucasian Slice and it was tasty too! We tried the wings and chocolate pudding cake both were delicious. We had great service and the food came out fast, we’ll definitely be back!(: *The only complaint I had was there is no where to park… we chanced it and parked behind the building but it has tow away signs everywhere from another business.

Been here a couple times for various after school celebrations and have always had good service. The foot takes a little bit to cook but it’s worth the wait. There is a large selection of alcoholic beverages and large selection on tap. If you’re an IPA lover, look no further. There are several options for appetizers/sides, such as the Gaelic cheesy bread and buffalo wings. An order of that plus a 16″ pizza will definitely satisfy a family’s hunger. If you like Hawaiian pizza, I recommend the Islanda. There are also big meaty options and a delicious vegetarian option with artichoke hearts, zucchini and other delicious vegetables. They even offer non-red sauce pizzas. Grab a group of friends, or a beer and enjoy some yummy, filling pizza!

Bomb pizza and an awesome rotating beer selection. Eric, the owner is the nicest guy ever. Employees are all knowledgeable about beer. Their in-house brews are damn good too. Odysseus pizza with meatballs. Do it.

Excellent pizza slices(huge!) and a solid craft beer selection on draft. Try the hop bread… good stuff. Nice waitstaff with cool shirts.

Anytime I’m craving a big slice of pizza or calzone I go to 1702. The management/owners are great! This isn’t your typical food chain where they make food for the masses. They take your time and make sure your experience at 1702 is worth remembering. don’t settle for your local papa John or domino’s go to 1702. Bring the family or friends, plan your next dinner 1702 is the place to be. Great casual spot in tucson to get your grub on to satisfy your craving.

Tucson is know for several things. Mainly western history if you ask around. Now being from San Diego, I’m kinda«fussy» about craft brews & pizza. 1702 nails it for the educated pallet. The slices are massive. The salads too. I highly recommend you only order 1 slice & ½ salid. Very good quality as well can be expected.

Wings are baked in the pizza oven, not fried, but are still delicious. I love the resberry habanero sause it comes with. Pizza slices are huge and filling. Best thick crust pizza in Tucson.

Beer selection was fantastic! A lot of local and non local brews. So this is definitely a place to check in at if you are a beer lover. Service was great. The server was helpful to the bonehead I was with that doesn’t like beer besides Corona Light he was patient and recommended one or two she might like. Pizza was really good. Nice and saucy and it was loaded with toppings. I think it was some sort of combination. Can’t remember the name of said pizza but all pizzas there looked great. My complaint is the wings. I was really looking forward to these because they oven bake them. That is hard to find. Magpies has legit baked wings. But this is not Magpies. First off the wings were so fatty. Secondly they were like steroid wings. I’ve never seen wings this big and I almost wanted to pull a Portlandia and ask where they source them. They were not good at all. The only thing that saved them was the raspberry chipotles sauce they coated them in. That made the wings somewhat enjoyable. And edible. If you have a hankering for good pizza and are thirsty for a beer, this is the place for you. Just avoid the wings. The End.

Stopped here to get some chicken wings and brews! Atmosphere — A fun college bar stop with lots of cool beer t-shirts hanging on the walls as art. Lots of great beers to choose from all the taps that they have available. Service — This was probably the worst part of the experience. I had to not only walk to the bar to get our check, but I walked up to get the check after waiting for any server to check on us for over 10 minutes. I think that servers usually know when a party wants to leave and get their check after the party asked for the check. Meata Pizza Slice — Pepperoni, sausage, salami, meatball and ham on a HUUUUGGGEEE slice! Do not worry it is only one slice as I could not even finish it.($ 9.50) Wings — These baked wings do take a little time to go done, 25 – 30 minutes, but they are worth every minute. The sauces are what make this place special: Raspberry chipotle was my favorite, their BBQ was very delicious too, and they do a monthly specialty which was Roasted Red Pepper, which surprisingly was better than I thought it would be good.($ 6.40/order) Misc — Should be noted that their blue cheese dipping sauce was one of the best Ive had. Helps make any wing order that much better.

Andres is a great server so I’m going to one up the stars. Also, the pizza is better than before. We ordered a whole pizza and the crust was a bit thicker and the sauce a bit tastier than usual. I came here on second Saturday and there wasn’t very many people here at all.

I’ve been here a few times and have been happy with my experience each time so far! Their pizza is delicious and their slices are huge. You can choose your own toppings too which is what I usually do. They have a really good selection of beers as well which is always a plus. One of the times that I went, their beer was a bit on the warm side. I’ve been back since then and I haven’t notice the issue again.

I’m not a huge beer fan but the raspberry ale was so delicious I would return just to have it again. I didn’t try the pizza so I don’t feel that this is a complete review. I went with a «regular» so the staff was exceptionally friendly & attentive. Side note: this is a dog friendly spot!

I have a difficult time deciding whether to give this place a 3 or a 4. The pizza makes it a 3, whereas the beer makes it a 4. Right now, I really wish there was a 3.5 as an option. I went here with a friend to drink some feelings away. The beer was spectacular and the waitress knew exactly what to recommend. For this reason, I will be coming back — they have a crapload of options and cute little goblet glasses(it was very difficult to resist the urge to take one). Basically, this place appeases my beer ADD. Now for the pizza — I chose the veggie slice. Overall, the pizza was fine(the slices are huge by the way — big plus in my book). The one thing that detracted from it was that they put uncooked zucchini on it. Uncooked! As a vegetarian, I’m used to eating a ton of uncooked vegetables, but zucchini(in my personal opinion) should never be one of them. It’s like uncooked eggplant. It just doesn’t happen. I guess what I’ve come to realize is that this place would be a solid 4 stars if they just cooked their gosh darn zucchini.

Fun and friendly atmosphere, great food, and a large variety of beer. That says it all. I used to come here all the time as a college student to meet with friends, professors or just to sit and study alone. I loved it then and I love it now as a professional in Tucson. The portions are huge! One slice of pizza feeds me for 2 days. I love coming here to try different beers as they have more than 40 on tap! I highly recommend this place.

I ate dinner here last night. It was my first time at 1702 and I hated it. We walked in and we were sat by the hostess. She was quick to put us at a little tiny table by the fire exit. This place has a grimy college town vibe. I looked at the menu. They have a giant beer list but I couldn’t find the beer they brew in house. We asked the server and she brought me a sample of the two beers they currently have, a rhubarb saison and a brown ale. I didn’t like either one. I tried to order an Imperial Red from Oak Creek. The server said it was not available because they couldn’t get it to stop tasting like the fruit beer they had on tap before the red. She told us that the lines were now«soaking in chem»… Awesome. She recommended a red from Marble, from New Mexico. It was good but not my first choice. The food was super basic, yet pricy for what it was. I am getting use to expensive specialty pizza, but $ 9.50 a slice? No thank you. This is just pizza on the edge of campus. We split a calzone, the Odysseus, it cost $ 12.10, also a high price. The red sauce was full of super strong garlic. It was painful. The actual calzone was good but not a traditional calzone. They give you a dull little pizza cutter with your silverware. It is cute, but a knife would have been better. I think this is the kind of place that U of A Alumni probably have an affection for. However, as a first-timer I didn’t enjoy anything about 1702. I will leave this one for the college kids who are just discovering craft beer.
