Since the military told me I have to relocate, it’s been a nightmare trying to get my house cleaned, fixed, and painted. I went to this particular ace store because it was closest and the experiences have been simply amazing!!! If nothing else, customer service was outstanding and the manager Herb answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. Overall in general I seem to have very good experiences with customer service but this one definitely stood out. Keep up the great work!

They have nothing… I went into the store looking for a lighting pagoda… I looked around the lighting section… finally, after several minutes of being in the store, some attendant finally asked if they could help…“I am looking for a pagoda” I said… he looked at me very confused…“you are looking for a pagoda?” he replied…“yes”…I responded… he said: «I do not know what a pagoda is»…so I had to bring it up on google on my phone… after I took out my phone, he suddenly grew a «brain»…and said«let me see what is here in lighting»…after 30 seconds of «looking», he said«this is what we have, no pagoda»…he did not bother to look in the back… he did not bother to offer any advice… he walked away…“do you know where I can find a lighting pagoda?” I asked…“a big box store like Home Depot, or Lowes” was his response in a matter as if he did not want to have anything to do with me… I will go to walmart today… usually, I would go to this Ace store because the workers seemed to «care»…and I would gladly pay the«price penalty» for better service… now, the service is gone, there appears to be a «knowledge drain», so why pay the«price penalty» when the service is a bad as Home Depot/Lowes or walmart???

Every time I go here the place is clean and the employees are helpful If you have any issues or cannot find something just ask one of the employees and they are always willing to help. The do have a lot of things to help you around the house as well as a small lumber section. Oh, and let’s not for get the train that goes around the store above your head. Our kids love to follow it around while we are shopping. When we check out the kids always get a free bag of popcorn.

I believe the service has gone from great to it sucks. The last three times I went into store most employees were watching TV. Get rid of television bring back the good service.

Although the big boxes have lots of great options the service most times can be lacking. These folks have always had what I need and are always willing to assist with questions… and provide some better ideas. Furthermore, how can you not like a hardware store where you can also procure birdseed, knives, ammo, archery supplies, models & trains, and some popcorn(random I know… but I dig one stop shopping when I’m busy). Lastly, love their support of local community by allowing scouts(boys and girls) to reach their goals.

This place is what it means to be a one-stop shop: not only an excellent hardware store, but practically a Home Depot, Target, and Walgreens all in one! Unlike many Ace Hardware’s I’ve been to this one seems to have operated on an almost European-sense of shelf space by literally packing as many different types, brands, and variations of household product you could need. Could only imagine how vast their inventory list must be. And while you study your way through a selection of grill tools, coffee cups, camping equipment, screwdrivers and air filters, your attention is unexpectedly, amusingly directed to the choo-choo sounds of a model train that travels along a track suspended from the ceiling. While you just might get lost navigating the aisles the staff I found to be very friendly and attentive and are quick in helping you find what you’re looking for as well as offer advice on your purchase. Strangely they also have an amazing selection of craft sodas and root beers that I haven’t found in any other beverage store! It’s not often you find a great hardware store that’s worth avoiding the Home Depots and Lowe’s for but unless you’re looking for high-end equipment, or high volume landscaping materials on the east-side this place will probably have what you’re looking for and if they don’t they’ll find you something even better you’ve never considered.

Ace is definitely the place for the helpful hardware person. Always a better buying experience than going to Home Depot or Lowes. If I can get it at Ace, I’d rather go there and pay a little more the great service. Clearly they don’t have a lot of what the bigger box stores have, but what they do carry, they have experts available to help. It’s not hard at all to find help at this Ace Hardware store. Keep up the great work.

They have a great and helpful staff but when it comes to buying ammo from them, it’s a whole different story. I went there for some .22 ammo(525 count) and got a box. When other customers had inquired about that size of .22LR’s, the employee replied that they were sold out. Which was a lie because there were BOXES in the back. I have lost all respect for them and will no longer be a customer.

Hardware super stores are the norm these days. If you prefer personal attention and knowledgeable staff then ace is the place to go. You can get everything from the usual hardware stuff plus fishing supplies, ammo, firearms etc. They always seasonal discounted stuff outside. For example winches and generators are on sale now outside. I highly recommend signing up for the ace loyalty card as well.

Love, love, love this store. Love. Absolutely. It definitely has a neighborhood store feel. Everyone is always cheerful and pleasant when I come in and goes out of their way to help find things/figure out what I need for a project. It’s small, but they have all the necessary things, along with some cool odds and ends. I broke a doorknob once, and it would have required a whole new kit just to replace one part. They have a supply of kits that have parts missing etc. so they were able to find me just the part I needed and simply gave it to me. I will be forever a loyal customer. Plus, free popcorn, old school sodas to buy, and even cute chicks to play with in certain seasons. AND a local food truck outside for most lunch/dinner shifts. What’s not to like?

This is the closest hardware type store to my home in Vail, AZ but it is not my first choice by any means. The older gentleman who had to make my key for me,(that was not his normal duty, I guess?) seemed put out and even more so when another woman came up and asked for a key to be made. Because of his attitude, I will avoid him in the future. Several other employees were very helpful about a confusing price issue on product. Ace is too high on prices! I purchased one item there for $ 4.49 and found the exact same item just up the street at Walmart for $ 2.88. I prefer to go someplace else.

Hands-down the best customer service, ANYWHERE, in Tucson! Whether I’m looking for something specific, or if I only have a vague idea what I need, the friendly people in red vests always steer me in the right direction. They’re particularly good at spotting that expression of overwhelming cluelessness and DIY panic, pointing you in the right direction without making you feel silly. For example, I lost a teeny screw for my sewing machine, and since it was MIA I had no idea what size/shape/etc. I needed. The aisle of screws/bolts/fasteners is HUGE, with hundreds of drawers of parts that kindasorta look the same to my untrained eye. Find an employee, though, and they’ll figure it out. «Short? Fat? Straight slot or plus-sign? Flat or rounded top? Hmm, probably one of these, do any of these look like the right size? They’re eight cents each, let’s get you several and you can figure out which one works.» I get home, and the first one I pull out of the envelope works perfectly. MAGIC I TELLYOU! So thanks, Ace people, you are amazing– far better than the people at the big-box shop!

If I checked in at ACE, I would be Unilocalus Maximus. I come here so much they should know my first name. Anyway, the customer service is great and you never have to look far to get get help or have a question answered. I have come in working on the goofiest home/mechanical projects and they always work with me to help figure it out and get me the supplies I need. Ace IS the helpful place. I like free popcorn too.

I like a clean house. My kiddies are back in school, they both go to full-day school and I get to get everyone out of MY house and clean it up! I suppose it sounds pathetic that I get excited about that, but I can’t help it. I’ve had a couple of days to really spot clean(since the house was already tidy). All the windows had been washed, the blinds had been dusted, vacuumed and polished, the ceiling fan blades had been wiped and vacuumed and I found myself thinking«What else can I clean now?». Seriously. Ah, if my 19 year-old self could see how uncool I’ve become. I got the brilliant idea to get super shiny floors and headed over to Ace to buy some floor wax. Now, I have tile floors, not hardwood, but it’s not laminate either. It’s a lovely dark brown tile with black specks and a tan grout. I started looking at the VARIOUS types of wax and floor cleaners they offer and actually felt a little lost. All I wanted was a super glossy waxed floor that would have my children slipping all over when they got home from school.(OK, that last part was just for my own entertainment, I suppose the kids don’t HAVE to slip) A lady came over and asked if I needed help. I thanked her, said no and she went on to help some other people. I kept reading every single label there for a few minutes. Another sales lady passed by and also asked if I needed help. I had finally chosen a wax, showed it to her, told her exactly what I wanted and asked if that would work. She asked me if we’d sealed our tile. Uhh. .. .. –blank stare-. We sealed the grout, but I wasn’t sure about the tile. She asked a few more questions to figure out if it was sealed. .. does water bead up on it if it spills. .. is it a rough stone, can you see pores? It turns out it isn’t sealed. Drat! Shouldn’t someone have done this for us? Oh yeah, it’s our house; we have to do this ourselves. She told me, «There’s no point in wasting your money on this if you’re not going to get the results you want. If you want a shiny floor like that, you won’t get that effect. Clean, yes. Shiny, no». Wow. Someone actually told me the truth over just making a sale. I thanked her and went to look at paint brushes instead. If I can’t wax floors today, I’m going to be touching up tiny scratches and scrapes on the wall. Now I know for sure where I’ll go to get my tile sealing supplies and advice. .. maybe next week. Oh, and before you ask, no, I won’t go clean your house.

Yes, I frequent this place. Once a week, I’ll be in there. If I need something mundane(screwdriver, pliers, bug spray, etc.), I’m guaranteed to find it here. The staff is freindly enough and they try to help out often enough. Hell, they even give out free popcorn! So what’s the deal, Cupo? Everytime…every.single.frickin’.time that I’ve NEEDED something that they have on their catalogue… something they even have a rack or shelf space for… they don’t have any in stock! Without fail, if it’s immediately important, they don’t have it. … … … … … and their prices are too high. Home Depot’s usually cheaper and that’s not an easy thing to say.
