Our server Olivia was awesome. We haven’t had the urge to go into Applebees because it’s always been hit or miss. This was a hit! The burger with the egg was awesome and the philly sandwich was great too. Olivia recommended a better margarita, in her opinion, than the one we ordered, but was the same price. So it’s not like she was up selling. We really appreciate good service, as a bartender and a GM of a couple restaurants in town. Thank you for a great late night meal!

If I could give zero stars I would. Probably the worse service I’ve had in a long time. They seem low staffed and it took 20 mins to get our ice teas, and another 30 for our entrees. They seem lack any kind customer service. Last time I come to this location

I have been to a lot of Applebee’s in my time, and this was, by far, the worst. Getting seated was quick and easy. The waitress, however, was not very pleasant. We had asked about an item on the menu being good and she just said«no.» Didn’t offer another suggestion, just said no and followed it by saying«I’ll give you more time.» Then she walked away. She was rude to my kids and didn’t smile. After the meals came, she came back when we were halfway through and asked — because she saw us helping our kid look at the little tablet on the table — if we were ready to pay and leave. We looked at our half eaten plates and said no. She quipped«oh. Well. You can pay on that thing. You don’t need me to do it.» We left our half eaten food on the table and got out of there.

A few things disappointed me about our visit tonight. First, some type of juke box has been installed. The speaker was right above our table. When the normal restaurant music was playing the volume was at a reasonable level. When songs were purchased from the juke box it was so loud we could barely hear each other talk. It was one loud country song one after another and I told my dining companion I felt like I was at The Cactus Moon and not a restaurant. My favorite menu item is the oriental chicken salad. The salad was almost all cabbage and very little chicken or even lettuce and looked like half a serving. Not great for a $ 14 salad. We don’t visit Applebee’s often but this is close to my house and we go once in awhile, However the overly loud juke box music and disappointing salad offering will probably make me skip it. On a good note our server was good and I appreciated there was a decent IPA on tap.

Aside from the every changing menu and staff –which is a pain — I frequent this location for Happy Hour a couple of times a month and this recent visit I was sitting at the bar alone(single Lady) and the NEW, but delightful, barkeep Crystal presented me with a card and wanted my name which she explained that when the manager stops to talk to me he would call me by name — Strange but I played along. There 2 men on one side of the bar and 2 other men on the other side and me(alone) in the middle. We were well within talking distance and we did pass a few remarks back and forth. Lo and be hold the«young» manager did come by and chatted up both sets of men about Fantasy football ??? but totally ignored me! He didn’t even ask if my food was good! What the Hell are you doing Applebee’s management? If it weren’t for Crystal chatting with me I would have felt invisible — no wait! I did!

my husband, and I went there for dinner, ordered Nacho, I would have been better off ordered a salad it would have been cheaper, the Nachos were nothing but shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes on to of chips, no cheese or taste to it and cost $ 10.29. if you don’t want fries and asked for loaded potatoes another 2.50 on bill, they don’t even tell you it’s more $. food had lack of taste to it. Manager came over after meal was paid, of course, said sorry and walked away. I also told him I will never come back.

If I could give a negative 5 stars I would!!! Arrived tonight 8÷7÷15 approx 10 pm with my son and husband. I came in first to get a booth that sits up to 8 guests to celebrate a going away for a fellow employee. My son followed and then my husband, he had to circle to find front parking because it was raining cats and dogs. We were there for at least 20 to 30 min before the others showed. Then immediately after 3 Pima County Sheriff’s came in passed our table then moved to a corner to speak to a Applebee’s employee approached our table and asked to speak to my husband and son. Their reason; «Someone» a «guest» saw my son pass me a hundred dollar bill and I handed it to my husband. SERIOUSLY!!! WHAT! PARENTSCAN’T EXCEPTMONEYFROMTHEIRKIDS! TOMAKETHEMRESPONSIBLEFORBILLS, LIVINGEXPENSES, CELLPHONES!!! I WILLNEVERSTEPFOOTINYOURESTABLISHMENTORANYANYWHERE!!! And even after a search and questions never found anything other than the $ 100 bill my son paid us. Management never apologized or acknowledged the humiliation we endured. The only reason we stayed was to not put a damper on our co-workers bon voyage. EMBARRASSED!!! NEVERAGAIN!!!

Now I know why I don’t like certain chain restaurants. Being a person with a discerning palate for good food is the #l reason for my dislike of chains. But I got a gift certificate for $ 15.00 from our health plan. Did they really want to kill us. Kidding aside. The food was just barely passable. I did live through the night with no heartburn or runs to the bathroom so that was a good sign. The kitchen screwed up our order because they were missing a key ingredient. So instead of telling our server or us they waited until they prepared a batch of whatever was missing. Our server Tianna was delightful though and was so sorry for the delay. She was the highlight. I won’t be coming back. Although they do have their crowds. Usually older couples who don’t like to venture out to the unknown.

To start off, tonight’s visit to the Ina Road Applebee’s was DISAPPOINTING. It was our first visit to this location(or any other AB’s location) in probably between 5 to 8 years because our previous experience wasn’t so great. We chose this over Chili’s, a place we go quite often and I would have rather gone to Chili’s reflecting back on tonight’s poor experience. The single star awarded reflects the entire experience but I’d like to break it down: The food– 1 star The waiter– 5 stars(she was amazing) The manager-1 star(not too helpful) The atmosphere– 4stars In this case, the bad out-weighed the good. — — — — — — — The experience: We went to Applebee’s around 8pm on a Friday night and we were quickly seated and we received our drinks quickly, nice start. Our orders consisted of the Fajita Wrap, Pork Sandwich, and the Pineapple Burger(can’t remember the full names). The wait for our food was slightly longer than usual for a restaurant of this type but it passed by pretty quick since we were talking, though it was hard to hear the people at our table because the music was blasting so loud(nice songs though). When our food arrived, I don’t think any of us were very impressed. My Fajita Wrap was mainly made up of lettuce though the chicken was quite flavorful but it hardly had any. The pork sandwich was supposedly okay, was missing the pickles but wasn’t too bad or too big of a deal that the pickles were gone, but still slightly disappointing. And lastly is the Pineapple Burger. The burger came out on a plain white plate, missing the sweet potato fries because they were still cooking and it looked awful and pitiful. It basically looked like a beef patty between two buns; no toppings just Swiss, there were like two tiny little chunks of pineapple beneath the cheese. We addressed this with the manager when he passed by and he claimed the pineapple flavor was«infused within the cheese». My mother was extremely disappointed with it and said it tasted like unseasoned meat between two buns with no flavor and she couldn’t even taste pineapple. The manager’s solution was to bring a small cup of smashed up pineapple, not helpful, the burger was lacking true flavor. My mom then asked the waitress for some BBQ sauce which helped mask the plainness. She ate maybe a third of the burger, a waste. When the waitress asked if my mom wanted a box, my mom said«no» in a disappointed tone. The waitress was clearly aware that the meal wasn’t up to standard and returned saying she took it off the receipt and offered to give her another dish but my mom kindly refused. The waitress was also willing to hear how it could be improved, and asked why it wasn’t so appetizing(she seemingly agreed it didn’t look like a great meal). My mother also mentioned that it wasn’t even worth being on the menu. Overall it was concerning that the manager tolerated such a terrible meal to be served(it looked as equally as bad as it tasted– picture a plain McDonald’s cheeseburger with nothing on it, that’s what it looked like). We will not be coming back to this location, or likely any Applebee’s for that matter. The waitress was amazing and easily recognized that we weren’t comfortable with our meals and she deserved 5⁄5 stars for her generosity and willing to help, but the manager obviously didn’t seem concerned with our bad experience and didn’t do much help, the waitress definitely knew how to help customers out and make them feel important as opposed to the manager. The food was the worst part of the visit and is our main reason for not wanting to return.

I totally understand that Applebees is really just a sports bar but I do have to say even going in with low expectations I was still pretty disappointed! Our server was very nice, and props for staying friendly and patient even though i was there on a lunch break with a friend so we were super chatty about work and not deciding what we wanted very fast. My issue was this: The food tastes like it was 4 days old and reheated in a microwave. My friend and i shared the boneless wings and motz sticks as an appetizer and I was horrified when they brought the wings out! The wings were super small, over cooked, and in one spot only covering a few wings was this off orange thick goo that was supposed to be the buffalo sauce we asked for our wings tossed in. It looked fake. I could not believe it. Not to mention for the price we should have gotten more wings or bigger wings. I ate two and couldn’t stomach the sauce. The motz sticks were fine, it tasted like the ones frozen in the grocery store but hey, anything looks good compared to the wings. We split the bacon burger which was actually pretty good and was very large. Nothing very special but I was happy with my purchase. The chocolate cake for dessert is passable, but save your money and go to Basken Robins for ice cream instead. At the end of the day i’m not going back unless its a last resort and someone else is paying!!!

Went to Applebee’s tonight and was looking forward to the big dish of Nachos that I was accustomed to eating for years at this restaurant. To our surprise, the nacho dish changed so we thought we would try it anyways. The waitress said they had just changed it last week. The original Nacho dish came with a lather of cheese that was the glue for the nacho chips, avocado, shredded beef and it was a generous amount that I never left the restaurant hungry. The new version does not come with avocado, with graded cheese, too much lettuce to create the volume and small slithers of beef. My wife and I took a couple of bites and looked at each other and thought the same thing, «what happened to that tasty nacho dish?» Very disappointed. We also ordered the potstickers from the photo off the menu. It looked good. The waitress also said it came with 16 pieces so we were excited about it. Boy, we were disappointed. They should should call it the meatless shriveled mini potstickers because that is how it tasted. Not very juicy or tasty at all. Applebees, pay attention, why are you changing a good thing and alienating your long time customers? I understand menu changes but this went way in the wrong direction and not the first time. Prior visits also were disappointing to find out menu items that I regularly order now are a different recipe or lopped off. Needless to say, we informed the manager and walked out of the restaurant. All he could say was that this was a decision made by corporate. We were discouraged to try something else and felt bad that the food we ordered would be tossed in the trash.

Well the service was good. The food was OK. But we will not be back! We started our visit off great. We were greeted and seated right away. Our drink order was taken and the drinks arrived quickly. The food was OK and it came out pretty quick. Our server remained on the ball the entire time. Here is the problem. They apparently went with an electronic jukebox system. About in the middle of our meal the music came on so loud we could not even talk and hear each other. The last thing in the world I want to hear during dinner is extremely loud music. I enjoy conversation over dinner and with the music it was impossible. With this system they now have we will not be returning. It truly is that loud.

Gary and I(2⁄3 of our«Dining Trio») stopped into the Applebee’s near our office to grab some lunch. It was cheery and I like their seating choices: either in the perimeters, near lots of windows, or inside in the bar area. They have plenty of happy hour times(including after 9 pm) and also a huge menu with something for everyone, including a highlighted menu of healthy options. We opted for the 2 for $ 25: 1) shared an appetizer of boneless chicken wings with Asian sauce(a little spicy but tangy and yummy), served with Ranch dressing dip 2) a half rack entrée for each of us of baby back ribs with choice of sauce-we liked our BBQ sauce choice, accompanied by fries and a small coleslaw. It hit the spot. Server was very friendly and aware; all the staff we encountered, young and old, were friendly and helpful. Positive experience. Would go again in a jiffy! I was«good» and didn’t gobble down all the fries. I was pretty full on the appetizer and ribs. I like Applebee’s because you can eat as naughty or healthy as you like; plenty of options for all types of diets. It’s a fun, upbeat place.

This specific location has continuously gone downhill, disappointing on every visit. I LOVE Applebee’s, so I visit here when in town working in hopes that it has changed. Tonight, I was once again reminded to stop going to this Applebees. After being seated in bar area, I was greeted by my server after 4min. Ordered a beer, another 5min to receive it. Ordered a side salad and was told it was on it’s way, so I ordered my meal. After 17min of not seeing my server(or salad), I flagged down the manager. He immediately brought the salad and another beer. I asked if my server was on a break which he said no, not at all. I then observed him serving the table next to me, and still no sign of my server. My food arrived 28min after ordering and found the chicken to be dried out. 2 min later(exactly 30 minutes) I saw my server in the dining area helping customers. Not on a break huh? At least let someone know so customers aren’t sitting around NOT being served. I give the manager credit for stepping in and handling her tables, but telling me she wasn’t on a break, give ME a break!

Oh Applebee’s, what happened to your Mojo? Back in the day, it looked like you had Chili’s lined up in your sites and«Bam!»; you over expanded, forgot about quality control and now UR closing places as fast as you use to open them. Today’s lunch experience is a good example. We arrived at noon and were welcomed by a very competent greeter who showed us very quickly to our table. Nice beginning. But no matter how courteous our server Naomi was, she could not make up for the m’eh food here. Btw, she was great. We orders the Ultimate Trio which didn’t look anything like the menu picture(see photos) for $ 14.99 and the American BLT for 8.99(again see photo). It had nothing but crunchy bacon bits. Both were wilted and looked and tasted as if they had been sitting in the window for a while. Our tab for two came to $ 31.24. Sorry, we’ll pass in the future.

I came here for lunch and sat art he bar. It was clean and bright inside, nothing too crazy. They have a few tv’s around the bar which aren’t too large. My food tasted good, I got a lunch special which was half of a sandwich and a small salad. The service was adequate — the girl at the bar was friendly but my food took a relatively long time to come out considering the somewhat slow lunch hour I was there for.

It’s an Applebee’s, folks. One with better service than most — and surprisingly popular on a Saturday at noon(in my opinion) — but still an Applebee’s. So, if you like Applebee’s, go to this Applebee’s. Not an Applebee’s food fan, you’re probably best off just moving along then.

10 years ago, I would have probably given this place 4 or 5 stars LOL! Let me preface this by saying thatI haven’t been to an Applebee’s/TGIF type of place for over 5 years. Back in college/early working career, this was the place to go. They have really good happy hour deals. You can have several drinks, and share a few appetizers, and get away with a check that is under $ 20! What more could a person ask for?! Not much has changed. Except me… I went here on a Friday night for happy hour with the bf. This location isn’t as busy as other locations. We were seated immediately despite the fact that it was happy hour on a Friday nite! Our server was super friendly, and on top of things. On our menu that night? The bf ordered a sprite, and I ordered their lone craft beer. They don’t have the full list on the menu, so you have to ask. Although there was only one craft beer at the time… they were out of the ones listed on the menu! So I ordered their one craft beer, which was an oatmeal stout. We also ordered the chili nachos, and the chicken wonton tacos. My beer was pretty good, but the glass he brought on the side was lukewarm, and looked sketch with fingerprints. Good thing I’m the kind of girl who doesn’t mind drinking from the bottle. :) The chili nachos were decent. They use a spicy white nacho cheese sauce instead of the usual bright yellow. It was a nice change. The chili is clearly from a can or frozen, but still tasted good, although really salty. But the thing we really hated was the iceberg lettuce. It made everything soggy. The chicken wonton tacos looked promising. The shells were fried well, and I like their concept of pairing coleslaw with the teriyaki chicken. The flavor was pretty good, however it was WAAAAAAAAYY too sweet AND salty! Maybe its just b/c I haven’t been eating processed food/fast food very much these days… but dang. I wanted to ask for abowl of rice or bread on the side LOL! ;) Applebee’s is just as it was a decade ago. I came here to use a gift card that someone gave me for my birthday 5 years ago.(BTW, their gift card didn’t depreciate in value like at some places. Good for them!) Will I ever come back? Maybe for a few beers, but definitely not for the food, despite the awesome prices. I don’t enjoy overly processed, salty & sugary frozen/canned food anymore. :(But the service was great, so hopefully if you come here, you get the same great server that we had. :)
