Bartlett Tree Experts

Further update from my review of 10÷1÷14:
June came around. I contacted the Bartlett rep to ask for the service which was promised, because the rep had said that June was the month for this (Beetle treatment for a Palo Verde tree). I was put off. Then supposedly in August, the work was going to be done when I was not home. But there was absolutely no disturbance around the tree and no notice on my door. When I contacted the Bartlet rep about this he said he would check with his guy and get back to me. A few calls and e-​mails of follow up on my part since then have yielded the same «I’ll get back to you» answer. Still, nothing.
I believe I was led on and being brushed off. That is not a good feeling.
Their work is good, which is why I give them 2 stars instead of 1. Their business practices leave me gasping. I will be using a different tree service in the future. I cannot recommend them.

If you have valuable plantings that you would like to protect from pests, these folks know what they’re doing. We have some exotic agaves and cactus, and found them under attack from grubs. No more, thanks to Bartlett. No, they may not be cheapest, but they are experts. The young woman who came out today for a second treatment (I wish I’d gotten her name) was incredibly knowledgable, friendly, polite, and concerned. She was VERY thorough. Highly recommend Bartlett’s for good advice and great service.

I was on the phone with my 83-​year-​old mother tonight, and she lives in the Tucson area. She was raving (in the awesome sense) about the Bartlett Tree company, and how great they’ve been for her. Sitting in front of my computer at the time, I googled Bartlett Tree company in Tucson, and saw this one very negative review. The vast difference in what my mother was saying as I was reading this negative review has caused me to write this review. She hired them within the last year to re-​do some trees and plants in her garden, and she was Tremendously Happy. (I had told her that she needed an arborist, not just someone who would trim her trees, because whomever she had earlier did a terrible job.) She had googled «arborist» in the Tucson area, and found Bartlett, and is beyond happy with their service. She recently had someone from Bartlett come back out to look at a tree that they had planted and it was growing extremely well. There was some sort of offshoot on the tree (sorry, can’t think of what it’s called), but it was like a whole new trunk growing up. The Bartlett Tree rep went out to his truck, go a tool, and took the offshoot off, and wouldn’t accept any payment. He simply said, Just call us next spring and we’ll come back out. My mother couldn’t be happier, and when I saw her garden last month, I was beyond pleased at how well it looked compared to the pre-​Bartlett days. So please understand that there are those who are not satisfied, and there are those who are. And my mother is one who raves over how well she’s been treated by Bartlett. Thanks for your time. I just want to be fair and give praise when praise is due. Oh, and my mother is not one to spend money in a crazy way. She watches her money carefully. She felt they gave a great value for whatever she was charged.
