* * * * * Five star pizza. Five star pizza. If you want great New York style pizza(thin with large slices), then Broadway Pizza Café is your next stop. If you want great pizza regardless, then Broadway Pizza Café is your next stop. I throughly enjoyed my lunch here and I highly recommend their great pizza. I was greeted immediately upon entering and I ordered the two slices with a pop for $ 6.50. I ordered one with Italian sausage. I then told him I wanted mushrooms on the other. He then asked me «Fresh or sautéed?» Sautéed? Sure, I’ll try that. The slices are HUGE. See my photo. Yes, that’s two slices nearly covering a pizza pan for a 12″ pizza! I was a bit surprised that the sausage was cut into little rectangles. But what great Italian sausage. The owner said that the sausage comes from Chicago and that even though many vendors come in to convince him to get their«authentic» sausage, he’s sticking with the Chicago sausage because it’s the best. The sautéed mushrooms were delicious. I recommend that you try them. The pizza is excellent. Good sauce and just the right amount. Same for the cheese. The crust is a perfect chewy and crispy. I usually like to shake the red peppers and Parmesan cheese on my pizza. I didn’t want to do that and«ruin» the enjoyable flavors. And they serve Hires Root Beer to boot! I highly recommend this place for great pizza. I’ll be back with my family.

Best pizza in Tucson! It’s literally the only place in Tucson that you can get an authentic NY-style pizza. The prices are a bit higher than I was expecting after reading some of the reviews on here but you absolutely get what you pay for. I have never had a bad pie from these guys. It’s $ 14 for a large cheese and $ 1 – 2 I think it was, per topping. Their specialty pizzas are mind blowing as well. I got the mushroom pizza that had roasted garlic on it($ 20ish with tip; you gotta take care of your local pizza purveyors) Wicked bomb! Can’t wait to try the others. Keep up the great work guys!

The pizza and staff are outstanding. Some of the best pizza I’ve had since Brooklyn. If you need a real New York pizza fix, just go here and don’t worry about screwing around with everything else. I like that foo foo brick oven stuff with feta and Greek olives too but this is real NY Style pizza. Go. Go now.

Broadway pizza is a good joint. Tasty pizza, pretty good selection, ok seating. This place is JUMPING late night on the weekends, no surprise. Staff is nice; drunk college crowd, not so much. But hey, it’s a college town, right? They also have a weekend happy hour deal with pizza, which seems like a good enough reason to go downtown, pick up a pie, get some beer and watch a movie. Hmmm, not a bad idea…

This is the best pizza in Tucson. After 15 years of living here I just recently have found it. It’s delicious. Just changed owners and pizza is just as great. I’m from NY and this is gonna be as close as it gets in Tucson.

Really glad we decided to stop by this place! The sign outside only reads«Pizza» so I unfortunately didnt notice it for a few years living in Tucson :(. The pizza is delicious and consistent! A Lg. Cheese is 13.00 and the specialty«Fungus Amungus(pesto and double mushrooms) was about 20.00. quality ingredients, and the owner seems very passionate about his business! That says it all about how the food will be. I hope this place continues to have success! Definitely worth checking out.

I stumbled upon Broadway Pizza Café looking to satisfy my wife’s pizza craving one night. I scoured Unilocal,Facebook, and the web for a menu, but couldn’t find one(more on this later). I called in and ordered a large pepperoni pizza — always a safe bet. The shop is unassuming, but extremely welcoming. The inside reminds me of my neighborhood pizza parlor growing up, local sports paraphernalia on the wall, a boisterous pizza cook, and college kids in the booths. I also learned why the menu wasn’t online — it was written on a chalkboard. They listed a few specialty pizzas with delicious ingredients, and that was it. The register girl confirmed my suspicion, but was surprised the menu was off of Unilocal. There were a bunch of pizzas on the list I wanted to try though! The pizza was more Mediterranean than Chicago, thin but flavorful. It won us over, and we’ll be back to try some more!

Biggest large pizza I have seen in a long time! The pizza was awesome and the price was amazing at $ 13.95! It fed our whole family! This is a small joint run by and pizzas made by the owner. It is a U of A themed hole in the wall, but a great hole in the wall. We enjoy the feel of the place, as locals come and go with everyone sharing a sense of small town familiarity. The pizza man interacts with EVERYONE as he tosses and prepares his homemade pizza masterpieces. Great place with superb pizza pie! Ask for daily specials as they are ever changing! Best prices in town!!!

Excellent pizza made by the owner, who is also a no-nonsense and well humored guy. Ignore the bad reviews by whiners: best pizza in Tucson

I dig this place for sure! The pizza is thin, crispy w just enough grease to make it glorious. If it were twice the price I’d still visit this tiny little join once a month at least. But since it IS cheap as heck and so darned tasty, I’m in there every other week. The food is good, inexpensive and quick. What tops the whole experience off is the owner… Jay. I don’t know if this guy is just playin the part or what but he’s exactly the guy you expect to be behind the counter at an awesome pizza parlor. He’s loud, funny and has a vast knowledge of sports(particularly UofA). Always have a good time and great food when I hit The BPC!

Located in a strip mall, this place is really easy to miss. They sell pizza by the slice which is really nice when you want pizza and don’t want to have a lot of leftovers. They have a 2 slice with a soda special. Each slice can have 1 topping free of charge and the rest cost additional. The pizza was pretty good, a little more greasy than I would have wanted but it’s prepared fresh for you. I would go back if I was in the area and wanted pizza.

Delicious thin pizza that belies the cheap price. Quick and easy slices or whole pizzas, plus sandwiches and loaves of garlic cheese bread with actual olive oil and garlic? What more is there to love? Oh that’s right — a smiling character of a man behind the counter that seems to love his job as much as the customers love his pizza. I’ve been a half dozen times and the pizza is always great. I even brought the three kiddos recently and they raved about it the whole time. I think all of our eyes were bigger than our stomachs — those slices are big! But we ate them all, and some bread, and we managed to waddle out with smiles. I’ll definitely be back

I don’t plan to ever go back. The owner is extremely rude as I was talking about a food allergy and he said«does it look like I care» … I ordered a slice and a soda(not bad for $ 3) and never answered my question and he went to the next customer. When my number came up he never called me but instead when my co-workers pizza was ready he told him to pick it up. I never ate the pizza and gave it to my coworker.

I recently got a position nearby, and I can already tell this will be my top spot for lunch! $ 2.78 will get you a big slice of cheese pizza, which is delicious, and a soda. Free refills too! The ownership is really nice, and the restaurant is very clean for a cheap pizza joint. Five stars!

I used to insist that NYPD had the best pizza in Tucson(key words: used to). Not anymore. The pizza at Broadway Pizza Café is flavorful in sauce/cheese/crust, but they beat out NYPD because of the crust. BPC uses a brick oven, and it makes all the difference. Their price is unbeatable as well($ 11 for an 18″ cheese pizza!). Now one thing that even Jay(the owner) admits is that NYPD has a certain ambiance and a/c, but I can leave the ambiance and a/c when it comes to good pizza at an unbeatable price. Jay, you’ve won me over. I’ll be back!

There’s nothing like Broadway Pizza in Tucson, although Jay insists the best pizza place is somewhere else in Tucson — he’s clearly misinformed and far too modest. The Bacio cheese is delivered fresh from heaven, daily, I’m guessing. It’s the most fantastic mozzarella cheese in existence. He’s nailed the crust, but you have to eat the pie fresh out of the oven so the crust is crispy! Toppings are top notch and the fact I can get a pesto pizza and avoid tomato sauce is another huge difference for me. I’ve had Grimaldi’s, and it doesn’t hold a match stick to Broadway Pizza Café. Jay, for the love of God and all that is Holy, raise your prices — I feel like turning myself into the police for robbing you every time I leave your place with Full Belly Syndrome(FBS).

Nothing as satisfying as a simple meal that tastes oh so good. Mmmm! And you can’t beat a slice and soda for $ 3! Atmosphere is eh. But food/$ makes up for it. Warning however, in the summer it is HOT in there. They only have fans to help simmer down the outside heat on top of their oven heat.
