I drive by this area pretty often and CN Bistro always caught my eye, it made me curious if it was an actual French Bistro. I finally decided to stop by and as I walked in I immediately realized this was a Mediterranean coffee shop, diverging from the misuse of the meaning of a Bistro, the restaurant has a not so horrible appeal, there is a section of the store that sells middle eastern ingredients and spices, which is a good distraction from the facility’s décor. I decided to go for a classical shawarma, in my head I was expecting a soft bite of delicious and flavorful lamb, but what a surprise I had. It has been the only time I have ever left a restaurant after one bit of their food. I am a little tiered of people opening restaurants without any experience or expertise in the industry. PS. A message to the owners: Please try your food before you put it on your menu. After all it is your reputation that is in the line and we as customers are paying for the unpleasant experience.

WORSTGYROEVER!!! Just got a gyro and salad from the one on Grant. There were three small, skinny slices of meat sitting flat on the pita bread. The meat was salty and tasteless and the bread was soggy. There were two little pieces of soggy lettuce, a skinny tomato slice, two slivers of onion, 5 slivers of black olive, and a tiny amount of goat cheese crumbles on the sandwich. The tzatziki sauce looked and tasted like firm sour cream and had little flavor. It was not creamy. I have had gyros at other places and the sandwich was always packed with meat… so much meat that I had enough leftovers for another meal. This gyro from CaffeNation was truly the worst gyro I have ever had. After a couple bites, I threw it all away. There was nothing worth eating. If this hadn’t been a carryout, I would have given it back to them and walked out.

Great place, fresh authentic food, many specialties! Their sandwiches are phenomenal ! Cold cuts like in New York, and they prepare fresh cooked meals right there. Highly recommended to stop by to enjoy their delicious food, or grab something to go. Try lagman or cabage/meat/or potatoes stuffed pastries, like empanadas, just better.

I wandered in here off the street and I have to admit it is my first experience with perogies and borscht. but my good-food-fifth sense tells me these are going to be really, really hard to beat. The coffee was nice and fresh. It was a little bit darker roast than I would prefer, but really good flavor nonetheless. Definitely worth dropping by!
