Quite and cozy place, very attentive and friendly staff, good coffee in mugs. One of my top favorite coffee places in Tucson.

Tucked away in a strip mall anchored by Basha’s, Tucson Coffee Roasters is definitely worth a cup o joe! I ordered a French press coffee that was smooth And pleasant. The place is small, but the service was friendly. Get away from Starbucks people! There are plenty of places to be had other than the corporate giant!

Love this local place. I always order a simple Americano hot. I think it is made with two shots of espresso and a bit of hot water. Really good. One morning my husband complained that his was too weak. I took it back and they did a rerun. Perfect. I think she was busy and lost count that morning. Buy good. Buy local. Leave the chain joints to the tourists.

A much needed locally owned addition to the shopping Center on the corner of Fort Lowell and Swan. Need a place to get some work done? This one fits the bill. Quiet, not too crowded, comfortable seating and plenty of delicious caffeinated beverages to choose from! Perhaps I’ve stopped in at the wrong hours, but the shortage of edibles to pair with my coffee was a bummer. More options in that department would be great! This one is a trek from where I live, but definitely on my radar for those days I head east.

The coffee drinks here are always spot on for me. Today I came in with my husband because he had his morning open also. Pretty popular place, if you don’t get here early enough it gets crazy busy just after 9. Very glad we came in and got a nice little cozy area to enjoy our coffee and dessert, before the place was full. We both ordered Breve Latte’s, and he tried the gluten free coffee cake just for the heck of it(he’s not a gluten free kinda guy). Apparently it was delicious because there wasn’t a crumb left. I usually come in and get my drink to go, there’s no drive thru but it’s quite efficient to run in and get back on the road in a timely fashion. Definitely faster than waiting in a huge line or drive through at one of those trendy/chain coffee spots. There’s plenty of parking, indoor & outdoor areas to sit as well. LOVE the chocolate covered espresso bean you get with your coffee! There was one other place I used to go that did that, but they’ve been long gone for years. A very nice touch indeed! You can grab a bag of roasted beans to take home, which I usually do if I’m running low. All in all, If you love good coffee and want to support local places, I definitely recommend Tucson Coffee Roasters. All their baked goods and teas come from local sources as well. Just walking in the door, you’ll be seduced into getting a coffee. Even if you hadn’t planned on it– believe me, it’s happened to me and I can’t complain. :)

Dropped in to have a cappuccino and lovely barista Adria brewed me up a great cup. Nice little shop, delicious coffee. If I move to Tucson, I will be a regular.

Came here for the first time today after finding it on Unilocal(of course, that’s where I find all of my new places to try!). My husband ordered a white mocha, which he said it wasn’t extraordinary for him but he thought it was very unique that it came with one chocolate covered coffee bean! I got a chai latte with almond milk, which I thought was very well done! It wasn’t too hot and I appreciate that Tucson Coffee Roasters provides dairy free options. That is very important to me! Overall, I would definitely come back. I saw a few other things on the menu that I would like to try!

For some reason, this business never stood out to me! It took me a while to give Tucson Coffee Roasters a try, but it was well worth it, and I would definitely go here again. The barista was my favorite kind of barista — peppy and talkative! She was very friendly, and I liked her a lot. A friend and I tried the horchata latte and the coconut frappé. The horchata latte was surprisingly bitter. I definitely liked the coconut drink better. Next time, I’ll have to try a coconut latte. They have some seating outside, but the inside is cute, and the furniture is very comfortable. The chocolate-covered espresso bean was also a nice touch.

Although I didn’t have their coffee, I was really impressed by their tea! I had the tropical green tea(iced) and was surprised by how flavorful it was! It wasn’t bitter at all(like a lot of iced teas are) and it was super fruity. I can’t wait to come back to try their coffee

Outstanding local coffee joint with friendly staff and surprisingly smooth coffee. Personal favorites include the mocha frap which is glorified rich chocolate milk and standard double latte. Indoor and outdoor space, cozy chairs and local art for sale on the walls. Quintessential local Tucson coffee shop, can’t go wrong enjoying their coffee. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. Cheers

This is a great coffee house. I love the atmosphere which is very laid back and casual but respectful and clean. They do a phenomenal job with the drinks. My favorite is the Bullet Proof, add 2 stevia and take out the caramel. The staff is always friendly and the patio is totally dog accommodating. They even have doggie water bowls. I also great appreciate the wide array of gluten free options which are always fresh.

I was really excited to try Tucson Coffee Roasters because of their close proximity to my house and because of all the great Unilocal reviews. Sadly, I was very disappointed in the coffee that I got there. The staff at Tucson Coffee Roasters are very friendly, and the décor is welcoming and cozy. I got two cold brew coffees to go. The inexpensive prices made sense as soon as my boyfriend and I took a sip of our drinks; they were extremely watery and flavorless, to the point that we weren’t even sure if we were drinking coffee for the first few sips. Cold brew coffee is typically very concentrated and flavorful, but unfortunately this particular cold brew was not. I will stick to Savaya for my cold brew coffees.

I’m totally addicted to their horchata latte… It’s a good thing they aren’t closer to my house! I think it is made with milk and a mix of syrups that makes it horchata flavored though rather than being made with horchata because I’ve tried that at home… Not the same! I’ve also had their French press which is delicious as well but if I’m going out I much prefer a treat I can’t make at home. They also give you a chocolate covered espresso bean with their coffee… If only I liked chocolate! Last time I was in I had my dog and they brought my latte out to me when it was ready… Very thoughtful! My dog also got a kick out of drinking from their water dish that had a dispenser on top. It’s the little things in life apparently :) We happily stop by on our way home every time we go for a run on the Rillito river path. It’s great to be able to support a wonderful local business.

As a college student, I am constantly searching for the perfect coffee spot to sit down, study, and enjoy some good coffee. This place more than fulfilled my standards and expectations. The atmosphere is great, the coffee is the BOMB, and the staff were super friendly. My only complaint would be that there is very limited space because it is a small shop in the plaza. Overall, incredibly unique place serving authentic/tasty coffee.

A really cute little shop with really good coffee. I’m usually a black coffee or plain almond milk latte kind girl, but for some reason this place screamed«get a mocha!» to me when I walked in. I’m not one to ignore signs from the coffee gods… so a mocha it was. So. Dang. Good. You could actually taste both the chocolate and the coffee, and it was sweet without being FRAPPUCCINOINYOURFACECHOCOLATEOMG sweet. The barista was friendly to both me and my one year old daughter(which is rare, and always appreciated). Definitely a top spot on my Tucson coffee list!

My husband and I were in Tucson for a wedding and Unilocaled some non-Starbucks coffee shops in the area, because why not support local coffee?! And we found this beautiful gem! A couch, three or four tables with unique seats, and a cluster of outdoor seating makes for a cozy and eclectic shop! There were athletes, families, older couples… seems like this place is a favorite among all ages. We both got iced coffee and WOW, what a smooth, bright, clean flavor! No strange aftertaste that makes you think the coffee has been brewing/sitting for too long. I usually put half-and-half in my coffee just to give it a milky flavor and take away some of the acidity, but this coffee didn’t need it! I was so impressed; the only other place I’ve had such pure iced coffee is in Seattle. Also, the chocolate-covered espresso bean that comes with your drink is such a cute touch. Not to mention, it’s delicious! Tucson Coffee Roasters, when I’m back in the area, I’ll be back for more cold coffee goodness!

I love their espresso! This local roaster is a great addition to this neighborhood. The location is decorated in a simple style, but I do see folks hanging out in there with their laptops. The thing that also sets this place apart is you get a chocolate covered espresso bean with each drink! Such a fun touch! They also offer punch cards, which keeps me going back.

TCR opened recently and have been impressive thus far. The owner is almost always there, either roasting coffee in the back or helping customers in front. The coffee is delicious and fresh. I had the experience below recently, which really drives the«fresh» point home! I came to TCR to pick up a pound of beans as a Christmas gift. I spent a few minutes talking to the owner about the different blends, and finally decided on the«holiday blend». I reached over to the display and grabbed a bag, and noticed the beans were still warm! I must’ve worn my surprise on my face, as the owner quickly said, «Still warm? I just roasted that batch this morning». If that isn’t fresh, I don’t know what is!
